It is unamerican to then use personal tragedy as justification to take away one of the essential rights of your fellow citizens. It’s honestly absurdly misguided and actually a disgusting use of his platform.
This country was built on patriots taking up arms against a government that denied them freedoms and representation. It has been advanced every century since by patriots who have done the same. Learn your history.

You are completely confused on what it means to be an American and the principles that have gotten us to this point. Being American is not the tolerance for all beliefs. It’s intolerance for beliefs that trample on the liberties of individuals, to the point that you are willing to take up arms against those who seek to impose their tyranny on the people.
