Here’s a build I know will serve you much better for high level plunders… Snow, ouroboros (specifically to shield against flooding and heal permanent damage from mortar attacks) Scoping station is key because you can easily double the damage to weak points of structures and ships if used correctly, then vat of volatiles, bombard works and ballista works. Twin winch up front then dardanelles everywhere else. Mons Meg 3 are excellent against structures but they’re not great against ships. Dardanelles are excellent for both. I personally prefer leopold 3 for aux even tho termites 3 does tons of damage to structures. I can’t take advantage of that because getting close enough to use them makes me vulnerable to the over powered wall darts. That’s up to you tho. This build requires 1 ballista bolt at 320m away to mark ships and structures and they take double damage to weak points afterwards. That’s huge
Pretty sure that’s not the best solo build either, but it works for you.

I use padawak. Bard front and back and mon megs 3 at sides works well reason for padi ship extra 50% to structures
To me the pade seems to die way to quick Vs forts?

I just destroy fort towers before I start the plunder, it's so much easier then you only focus ships. Use twin winch to destroy at range before initiating.
Pretty sure that auto starts it anyway ?
@@rasky2684 Not if you are outside the control zone, you can destroy two of the megafort towers before it triggers.
@@CourtneyJoshuaEdwards I tried this once with another player but i couldnt see if i was damaging the fort though?
@@jackbernard484 yah that is the downside, the damage is there just can't see the health bar. Once you do it a few times you'll know approximately how much you need to hit them so it won't feel like there is no progress.
@user-yi2rr6fg7d yeah I don't know if I got the time to learn it and memorise that but fair play to yourself and the players that can. The guy u played with did the long range damage and then docked and brought out another ship to start the plunder lol
its a shame the ballista is only front firing only because i would love to make a ship just full of ballista's

With the decrease of helm raw material from roving missions and the greater need for more silver, Fort Plunders are necessary. And, kudos on taking on the hardest fort solo!!
Does anyone know if I'm doing a fort plunder for Helm Raw Material contract and someone joins, if they also get it? Or, would they need to join a group to get the material?
It depends only if the game (adds them to the plunder activity) it should work but it is hit and miss for me depending when I join ✊🦜

I thought the Helm materials would only 'spawn' at the end for Contract holders, although anyone joining a plunder gets the default loot.
@@terrylandess6072 For me, that seems to be the case. I've joined many Fort plunders and have never got Helm material without owning a contract yet. And, I've been there since the beginning. Seems to happen even if people are added to groups. They only get a bonus of default loot. This is definitely something Ubisoft should change to encourage more collaboration across players but it's nothing to just go pick up a contract from the helm and then join I guess.
@@brendanlopes7354Agreed, but many times I'm closer to the forts than the den and helping is a timing thing - even worse with the elite ship spawns which I need to outfit for or change ships.
I just use the barque low health tank build with mon megs and dards front and back black prince armor and just solo forts
Wouldn't running the Barq pvp build be a better ship? Get some self repair and harder to kill once hp is low? I still run zamas on the side so i can take down ships faster and use rockets and front rear weapons for fort. The zamas do decent damge to the fort too with close in runs.
So in theory yes but this mega fort hits like a truck the brace health on this ship is only 10k off of the the full health of the Barque and they chomp through my armour so that would mean they would kill the bark so quick unfortunately.

Soloing a fort isn't the problem - it's the endless swarms of lvl 15 ships one can barely scratch because of lvl % damage caps. Typical MMO stuff.
Also for us late-comers, until we get to farm for the Ouroboros armor - it's all academic.
Why don't other players cooperate in destroying the huge Austin Fort? I was hoping to find some interactive players to help when you call for help.

Can you explain the math to me on the Ballistas please? Not sure how you're getting to higher DPS on the Springald 3 just because the faster charge time. I can see the logic there, more pew pews every 2 seconds but the numbers don't add up unless I'm misunderstanding how it's calculated in game.
Twin winch - full charge damage - 5678 +946 piercing = 6624 - 2s charge time to reach them stats so every 1s it deals - 3312
Springald 3 - full charge damage - 3247 + 541 piercing = 3788 and it has 50% extra tearing damage.
Ignoring the tearing damage the difference is:
Twin winch every 2s DMG = 6624
Springald 3 every 2s DMG = 7576
And the spring also has more tearing damage. ✊🦜
@@d3athwish Thank you, that's interesting to know. I'm not sure the tearing damage matters just because ballista's really shine at shattering weak points. I watched your full assault and you would charge the Springald 3 for longer than the 1 second charge time while setting up you aim. The charge times play less of a factor unless you're firing them exactly when they finish.
What killed you at the end? I literally did not see anything hit you when you sunk, it looked like the game just decided you died. I've experienced the same thing at that exact same fort where no cannonballs fired and no mortars fell and I was instantly sunk by "Fort Defenses".
@@varadun yeah no clue went from half health to nothing and it was annoying so thought... I'll do it another day let's just get the build out for everyone to get the understanding of how it works. ✊🦜

Wonder someone could help me see the furniture where says increase generation threat I've got an idea what mean. Could someone explain it abit is it ok to have on a piece of furniture while on your ship or bad idea???
If I'm understanding this correctly the treat generation increases threat by 5% meaning in a group you are more likely to be targeted rather than your friends. ✊🦜

I run ouro just cause of red health heal.
It would be good but for the mega fort with the damage you take the 50% less damage under 33% is huge, for any other fort it would probably be best.
@@d3athwish I run water tank, rum pantry, la potence, bombard powder house. With ouro, keep my ship in second gear and moving around and I've done mega.fort solo to last stage.

Is there a way for me to dm deathwish. I have figured out an exploit that no one else has. It has to do with successfully delivering say 250k in a helm wager and not getting attacked by other players
