- The window switches on my Traverse would sometimes roll a window down, but not back up, or visa versa.
I was seeing this behavior on a rear passenger window switch, and front driver side master switch.
Removing the switch and cleaning allowed me to restore the switch functionality.
This switch is compatible with the following vehicles and you may be able to apply the same concept to your vehicle:

Thank you man, I've been looking for a hopeful fix without spending a bunch of money.
Thanks, nice video. I'm about to try similar, your description and video are very helpful.
Very helpful thank you!!!
Thanks for saying misbehaving...so funny
Hi, great video; thank you for posting! What did you clean the contacts with? Water, alcohol? Thank you.
Electronic contact cleaner spray, or rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab will work. In my case, a dry cotton swab worked well enough. I wouldn't recommend water , as moisture seemed to be what caused my switch to build up residue to begin with.
Hi, I enjoyed your video. Can you tell me what you used to clean
In another comment he said he used rubbing alcohol and cotton ball. Electronics spray cleaner I suggest the most but 93% isopropyl alcohol would work just as well.
AHHHH im going to SCREAM nobody has MY switch I've watch every video on the internet looked at every thread and yours was the CLOSEST to mine but my motherboard is ATTACHED to the buttons from the inside. So when your whole motherboard just comes out the bottom mine stays up against the buttons from the inside. Nothing will get it loose and I don't know how to pop the buttons off without breaking them :(
