Had my doubts. This actually worked! I did break off one little white clip that holds the board to the white plastic. Not a big deal. Very fragile stuff. Cleaned it with 90 iso. Made sure the buttons matched up with the two sliders. Which would make someone think it didn't work if they aren't matched up. Not matching them up the two window buttons that move the sliders wouldn't move anything. Just center everything like someone already said in the comments. Had this replaced one time at my local shop and I believe it cost me 600 bucks. They also thought it was the motor even though I said it was the control switch. Anyway great video! Also if you have to reset the Auto up on the drivers side window just pull up on the control and after the window fully closes hold it up for about 5 seconds. Resets the auto up so it will work properly.
On our 2009 Nissan Sentra the DS window stopped working. 1st it was harder and harder to use lock doors on the switch, then once I could barely pull the window up after I opened it. Now it doesn't work at all, I didn't try much since it is locked in a preferable position than if it would stuck when down. I ordered a new switch, but meanwhile try to do that cleaning shown in this film, maybe I can keep a new one as backup switch. I think there is a general problem w/those switches on Nissans, many films about it. Also we have another car (backup car, but very good) 2001 Saturn SL2 with ~135 kmi on it. The switch on Saturn works very well, and Nissan has only ~60 kmi, and switch got broken already. On cleaning I might use CRC QD Electronics Cleaner instead of Rubbing Alcohol, maybe it will clean even better. Thank you very much for the detailed and informative film.
Brilliant!! 2 of my windows stopped working yesterday. I followed your instructions and had them back in working order in less than 30 minutes. Thank you!!
Bro thank you so much🤘🏼 just saved me and my girl the extra bucks on a new switch, and the time to wait for it. This video was straight to the point, simple with no bs. I appreciate that💪🏼
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you! I have to do a lot of repairs to my car to make sure it passes inspection, so I need to save money wherever I can. Appreciate this video. I hope it works for me.
I thought there was no way in the world this would work. I want to thank you very much and I will say I was wrong. The switch works exactly like it should once again! Thank you very much for your video!
Tried it on my wife's 2012 Maxima. It didn't fix it unfortunately but I'd rather try the inexpensive fix first. Luckily the part is only like $30 so it's not a big deal. We think it's an issue with the window lock button sticking. 🤷🏻♂️ however the board was pretty dirty Edit* I found I had not gotten all the switches flush on top and it works great now. Even the door lock button which seldom worked before is working
I'd like to know the description of the blue "pry pieces" that U used to be able to order for myself, plz😊. Your video is very clear & informative & can't wait to try!!
Sorry, it seems the exact ones I purchased on Amazon are no longer available. If you search for "Auto Trim Tool Removal Kit" you'll find a ton of nice options! Thank you!
Jaló!!!! It worked! Well halfway. In my altima 2012 fist stop working the passenger window, didn't work at any switch. Few months later the driver. I ordered on Amazon and the driver has different pins and works only the passenger window, no the driver or the back windows, so that way I discovered the passenger switch is ok. After doing this now the driver window is working again. Not sure what I can do to make the passenger window works. Thank you for the video. 💪
Great video and hopefully this will save me some money but just a bit of advice on your channel that music bears absolutely no relation to the subject matter and is very distracting I had to turn the sound down
Of course, I'm glad my video could help! Next time I'll make sure to utilize the genre of music specifically made for the replacement of a master window switch on a Nissan Altima, I didn't even think about that lmao jk. I'll use the production value of your channel as inspiration. thank you for the advice Backwoodcountryman.
- At my Nissan Note i opened and cleaned 3 times with medicinal alcohol 95%. Every time worked a while and after again stopped working. This evening catched me on highway, i opened the window to clean the mirror but the window did not lift up again. I had to drive 51 km on highway in cold weather and the rain almost coming with the window open very low. At destination again i opened the switch, cleaned with medicinal alcohol and started to work again, but ... because i saw will not last too long ... i decided to buy a new switch. For 15 £ i found on ebay the full box with switches. So ... does not worth the stress for just 15 £
@yovolvo9130 sorry to hear that it only worked for a little bit. Weighing the benefits to buying another part and fixing your current part is always a good consideration.
I like this trick. It only lasts about a week for me and then I have to do it again. I think the plastic switches don't make great contact to the sliders because after the week it works about 30% of the time and by 1 month it just doesn't work. Switches are like $80 I'd rather do this every couple weeks lol.
Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my 2017 Nissan Altima SL. The front two door windows keep rolling down automatically while parked, and the door locks are constantly locking and unlocking on their own. I’ve already tried removing the fob battery, but the problem persists. I also replaced the driver side window controller, but that didn’t fix it either. Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions on how to resolve it?
@@mattbuffardi dang, yeah it might be glued! Maybe there is something different. I've only dealt with a few. Might have to pull really hard at the risk of breaking it.
@@iknitall have tried plying off and still can't dis-attach the motherboard. trying to clean the motherboard by sticking q tip soaked with alcohol under the board now..
Anybody have a problem after replacing a new switch making the driver window still have power even tho the car is off and it’s only the driver side n I tried reconnecting it and disconnected my battery but nothing
Hello. On mine, only the driver window has automatic function. It goes down automatic but won’t close automatic. I opened it and cleaned all the copper contacts with contact spray but it did not fix it. What can be the problem? Thx
Hello I believe if you have done everything to clean and repair the current window switch and it still doesn't work, the effort involved with fixing the switch may outweigh that of buying or sourcing another new or used switch. Sometimes if the switch is broken enough it would need replaced and resoldering. If you replace the ensure master switch assembly and it is still not working properly that would help you in looking elsewhere with the wiring or window mechanism for the issue. Thank you
If this works when I try this tomorrow I will subscribe and like every video from now on cause now I got my window stuck open and it’s parked outside for the night😭
He's 💯% correct as this is the proper way to repair or clean a motherboard. 👍👍
Just saved me who knows how much money. Awesome tutorial man. 2012 Altima here

2 button came off, how you do put them back on?
Better than the 435,00 the Nissan dealer wants. Got one off E-Bay for 75.00 new from China but only lasted 7 months. Will try this
yeah this is the way to go. i do this with all kinds of electronics, all the time. rarely do they actually break.

My drivers door was the only one working. Did this and got my passengers door back and one of the back windows but lost the driver's door 😂

Can’t get the 09rogue motherboard removed from white plastic. Is it glued on?
Around 3:10 there are some little white pushpins holding the mobo down. there are a few and then it should come right off!
I actually plied those off and it’s still stuck

@@tour after multiple tries on both doors it did not work so yea fb market it is

The process may be very similar but unless the master switch looks the exact same I'd say it's a little different of a process.
