    Good work. I used to use the plastic gallon milk bottle to catch killies. Just push the top in and put some bread inside and tie a rope to the handle.

    Nice video!! What size hook were you using?

    • @thesouthshoreanglerfishing
      @thesouthshoreanglerfishing  7 місяців тому +1

      2/0 eagle claw hooks….on the smaller side when largemouth bass attack and so sometimes I’ll miss the hook set but all in all it gets the job done….Thanks for watching 😎 STAY TUNED 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

      A good Ol’ bucktail tipped with a plastic always does the job under that bridge…you won’t need anything else trust me…in-coming tide fish the east side and outgoing fish the west side of it….Thanks for watching 😎 STAY TUNED 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

    Yo, i know its off topic but, you mind if i ask you some 🐑head ?'s.
    Im takin the train down from CT 1-2x a wk to target them. Ill try to keep it vague because i know you put in a lot of time and effort to find them, and i wanna respect that.
    Without telling me which one, is there a certain borough that you feel holds more sheep and gives me a better shot at them?
    What time of the year or water temp am i looking for to start targeting them, and how long do they stick around.
    Im far too fat to fit in a 'yak. Am i fucked from the jump or are there spots from shore that are worth fishing.
    Thanks for giving me a new goal for '24. Catch em up

      I’ve caught them in 2 different bodies of water….I know of 4-5 areas that produce….once the waters are in the mid 60s it’s game on….I usually start catching them in the beginning of June when I first start targeting them but I have a feeling that they start staging in may….gotta fish heavy structure with bridges being your best bet….kind of hard from land since you want to be right up on the pilings although someone who asked me for some knowledge caught one from shore last year which was pretty cool….if you can find a bridge that you can get under and be able to cast to the concrete pillars/pilings then you have a shot….very LIGHT bite even for the biggest of sheepshead, if your casting crabs and they mysteriously go missing it was definitely a sheepshead that took it, they hit nothing like how blackfish hit and tug, almost a vibrating sensation you’ll feel through the line if that makes sense….they’ll stick around until beginning of October from my stats….I’ve landed 50+ in these past 3 years, last year alone I landed 28 and broke off on just as many….it sucks because light tackle is the way to go but then it creates a harder situation of getting them in…I use 20lb braid/ 3ft 20lb FLOURO leader as they have BIG eyes and are skeptical when looking at your bait….my biggest is 11.7lbs and I’ve lost bigger ones, my goal is the NYS record and IGFA world record which is only 10lbs and some change which had I known about that IGFA world records I would’ve been had it…multiple 10+ lbers under my belt….I have so much footage I just can’t produce it to the public for reasons we all know which sucks so I just sit home and watch it on my big screen for an adrenaline rush….GOOD LUCK out there…be patient, some days I can go for 5 hours without a tap and then BOOM game on….Thanks for watching Tony 😎 STAY TUNED 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

      @thesouthshoreanglerfishing tungsten rig tubing that carp anglers use might help with the break offs.

    Try hooking them in the upper jaw. I have had better success and they seem to last a little longer.
