I never get the native brooks unless I am freezing to death. I always get them around new years, it’s kind of a tradition for me at this point lol. Also, we kept a brown from that first spot once, its belly was filled to the brim with shrimp from hanging out in there.

I caught my biggest natural brookie about 2 weeks ago in some tiny secluded creek, around 10” long and healthy, couldn’t believe it…I usually catch the 4-5” fingerlings…that’s pretty cool that those brown are eating the grass shrimp !!!! Thanks for watching Jim, see ya out there 😎 STAY TUNED 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

Hey brotha...what day was this? I went there Tuesday and used the same technique and not a nibble. Used wax worms with an adjustable float, rooster tails and kastmasters. I must've been presenting them wrong or something. Time of day matter?? Me and my son were at both locations and got skunked. Trying to get back out there to redeem myself. Great video..i. jealous!

Definitely the presentation, not saying I’m the best, but I can guarantee some fish in that creek throughout the whole winter and even more once they’ve stocked it…that creek has some skinny water with deeper pools…so you really have to adjust your float accordingly to make sure your bait is in the strike zone which is at the bottom…it can go from 8” of water and drop to 2 ft….I was there today slamming them, they dropped some BIG rainbows and brook trout in there…time of day was never really a concern for me with the trout to be honest…also you may have gotten hit and didn’t even notice, a lot of times the trout won’t take the float fully down so you have to pay real close attention because the trout will pick up the bait and drop it immediately….Thanks for watching bro 😎 STAY TUNED 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

@thesouthshoreanglerfishing I don't get out as much as I'd like so my skills are definitely not as fine tuned as yours. I'll take notes and apply some of those tips you mentioned next time I go. Thanks!
