- Today I fished our local tournament trails end of the year CLASSIC. After fishing 3 this year to qualify, it was finally time for the biggest tournament of the year… and I fished it SOLO. Will I be able to win?

Logan sometimes when running a stinger hook with a paddle tail on the back of a buzzbait, you will run in where the swimbait fouls up the stinger hook on the back causing the hook not getting stuck in the fish. I personally would try the buzzbait without the swimbait and see how that goes for you or use the swimbait or a toad and take the stinger hook off.

I feel that a swimjig in that occasion could have been a great way to cover water and draw some big bites earlier on, especially if you skip it way back under those overhangs. That, a popping frog, and a chatterbait. The smaller sized Dart would be a great addition to follow up on missed topwater bites as well.

Try ripping the first couple inches off the mondo worm to improve hookup ratio on smaller fish.

Ever thought of trying to downsize ur bait when u are on the river and it’s warm? I fish tournaments on Mississippi and I use a bunch of Dt-6 red and parrot colors and green pumpkin creatures and frogs all seem to do well

You're missing the Hooksett on the buzzbait because you need to lift the rod strait up. Not sideways. Side set is for treble hooks.

It's the angle of your rod as you set the hook! Try straight up in front of you. It looks like your snatching the bait out the fish's mouth! Just a suggestion.....good luck!

When you have that many bites and they aren't getting the worm, the way to find out what size or species they are pick up a ned rig and put it in that spot. If they are smaller it won't take long to get one.

@@LoganAndersonFishing something about a ned around river rock just catches anything lol from bluegill to big bass. It's also easier for aggressive spots to get a hold of. I like a zman TRD craw or small craw on a ned.

Cant set the hook, big bait big hook small fish small mouth. Thats why you cant set the hook. Dont get aggravated just get even, swap the hook for a smaller one. I love your program, i only like yours, kickingtheirbass and fletcher fishing.
