Ngl the Daily Insence is one of the most underrated updates of Pogo. I have a trail right next to my house and this daily incense has really motivated me to take that 15 minute jog every day. Lets hope Niantic countines to make great updates like this
It definitely motivates me to get outside even when it's cold and I tend to use that as an excuse not to walk. 🥶😭 I live in the mountains of rural Oregon and it can easily get down to -20° here. Yes, *negative* 20.
I tested with bike and rollerblades... It's so much easier than walking. This is the way to get more Pokemons out of daily lure. Almost perfect time to get to my outside (real) gym. I just hope there was more random Pokemons that aren't normally spawning.
Something that’s weird though is that standing still you get a Pokémon from an incense every 5 minutes, but when you drive you get a Pokémon every 30 seconds-1 minute. Seems as if Pokémon go is making things unsafe 😅
Something to note, which i learned by experience - lol. If you try to activate the daily incense after 11:45pm, it will not work. It simply disappears. So you have to have time to both START and FINISH the daily incense before 12:00.
Yeah, this was so annoying. Me and my friend went out walking and couldn't click it anymore. I get the incense can't carry over to the next day but why not just let people use it for the rest of the day...

In addition to the golden razz and ultra ball excellent throw, I think medals also play a factor in. its important to have platinum medals for flying, dark, fighting, and psychic to catch these birds.
I'm just thinking if making a new account and catching the birds will be easier. It's super easy to catch any legendary with low level without any medals. Catch rate scales weird with levels. It might be the easiest way to catch if the catch rate is similar to other hard to catch Pokemons.
One other tip about the Adventure Incense I don’t think you mentioned! If you have less than 30 total pokeballs (of any type) in your inventory, you’ll get 30 free pokeballs when you activate your adventure incense!
If I am not wrong then you get pokeballs only if total no. of pokeballs in your inventory is less than 30 as I don't have any ultra balls but I have plenty of other balls. Still I am not getting 30 pokeballs.
I have yet to see 1 bird 🐦 spawn but I enjoy walking for 15 minutes each day. I feel like it's motivating me to at least get some extra exercise each day
The details on how spawns are calculated have helped to improve my average number of "adventure spawns" by about 30% (and led to my first encounter with one of the Galarian birds). I live in a small community on the outskirts of town (and crazy drivers on the nearby road make that feel unsafe), and can encounter 3-4 incense spawns walking the length of the parking lot's sidewalk. Previously, I just continued walking the entire length (under the false assumption I just had to be moving) before reversing direction, but now knowing it's looking at "net distance" from the last spawn, I now reverse direction after an incense spawn if there's not enough sidewalk left for another spawn.
Got a Galarian Articuno the second night out walking after this feature was on my phone. Golden Razz Berry, great curveball throw, ultraball, fled after one attempt. Really really bummed me out. Yeah, they should be “hard” to get. But fleeing after ONE throw is just *absolutely* ridiculous given how rare it is to get them to even spawn in.
If you're planning on going on a late night walk, be sure to go 15+ minutes before midnight. You're not able to activate it after 11:45/carry over effect to the next day.
Did you have a mega active? Just asking because the same thing happened to me on day 3 of incense and I had my max level mega pigeot active. I thought maybe that influenced the critical capture.
It's a pretty good feature, NGL. But they should reduce the flee rate. I mean I understand that they should be harder to catch (especially compared to kanto forms), but 1 throw and it runs is just too much.

I use my daily incense on the part of my grind loop that’s just a straight shot putting a little pep in the step too and I get 15-20 each time average. Cool mechanic that encourages even a quick walk around the neighborhood to get some actually decent spawns
I encounter a Zapdos and an Articuno so far. Zapdos was weather boosted, Articuno wasn't but it was 1198 so both ran. What I realize is that since we still don't really well the attack animation, instead of using the circle lock technique, rotating the ball and releasing when the circle is at excellent is best. We only got one shot, and even if the birds attack we probably have a good amount of ultra balls to try the excellent again. Zapdos I only manage to get great because I tried to circle lock but with Articuno, I rotate the ball, lost one because he attacked, tried again, and got excellent. Even though he ran, I give the best shot I could. However, Articuno and Moltres go up and down, so Zapdos is the safest to get excellent like this.
I already use up 5 incense…. But I never see any single Articuno, Moltes or Zappos… I’m almost in doubt that ths is just a bullshit from Niantic!!! And I feel I probably won’t hv the chance to meet the legendary bird….

Thanks for the tips although it's hard for me to avoid traffic stops and crosswalk as there is one every block for I live in a city. Did I tell you I caught a galar Zapdos last week on my very first encounter with it? Yes I got real nervous at first thinking about that 90% flee rate, then I took a deep breath, gave it a golden razzberry, threw a great curveball throw, with an Ultraball, and it stayed in the ball! I was so surprised and happy! It was the bird I had wanted most out of all of them too. The stats suck but I'm still happy. Have yet to even encounter the other two but the galar Zapdos is my favorite one anyway so I'm satisfied
2:49 Going to use that Incense walking down some streets or rivers with no stops nearby in the City, while keeping the eyes open for things to nominate as a pokestop. And if I have good timing I could try to send one gift to friends before the next incense spawn popps up.

I use this on my break at work, I work at a very large company caterpillar. They have a long long hallway and I use the incense on my break and walk the hallway
To quick catch efficiently on an incense or mystery box, open the berry tray like you would during any quick catch but wait until the ball shakes three times before fleeing. Three shakes in Pokémon GO means the Pokémon is caught. This ensures you can still skip the catch fanfare and you don't miss out on de-spawned incense Pokémon by fleeing too often.
Already caught articuno and moltres. Used a golden berry and an ultra ball. Used a great curveball throw. Had a buddy with catch assist and needed it both times.

I had that crazy Moltrez pop up two days ago but my game froze after I tossed the ball and it just sat there trying to load for 5 minutes. After I broke down and restarted to find that I did not in fact catch the bird I almost tossed the phone at the wall.
I found if you turn right after pokemon spawns you won't lose any GPS and keep the sightings high. Max so far for me is 27 at mild walking pace and turns at about every 3 blocks
I personally recommend the quick catch if you are going faster than walking. I have finished catching a porkiman only to see the next spawn vanishing because I ran past them, don't know if it was a glitch or maybe I'm doing something wrong 🤷
My prediction with daily incence is that it will have what the next new 5* raid boss is as the legend spawn(s). Imagine if that were what was happening lol
Thats why I am waiting for these 3 to appear in raids instead of this lame incense. I have done 5 already and not 1 bird. Plus 15 min aint alot of time to try to encounter one and with only a 0.3% catch rate and a 90% chance to flee, yeah not worth my time

I was able to hit 28 pokemon envounters which I can confirm is the highest. But I was able to catch 27 of em cause the one of em was galar zaptos. Which unfortunately fled despite my Ultra Ball + Golden beery + Curveball + Excellent ball combo. Which was really annoying.
Sounds like everyone has this incense besides me. I messaged Niantic and all they told me was “it’s still being added to players accounts” I’ve missed out on a whole week for this incense smh
Another good tip is to run a lucky egg if you are a new player as many of these will be new Pokemon you have not caught. I do that and then do a few prepared evolutions between spawns. Helps with the xp gain. I do know that I don't walk fast enough for 28 spawns so there is enough time in between to do some evolutions and I feel like I am maxing out the 15 minutes.
Are we certain that this Pokémon’s catch rate is even affected by its CP? I saw a 42 CP articuno in the wild, gave it a golden razz, switched to ultra ball, and its catch circle was still completely red. Fled immediately without the ball even shaking. Something tells me there’s a static catch chance no matter what the CP is, therefore weather boosted or not wouldn’t matter. Do we have any evidence that lower CP Birds are easier to catch?
Awesome. Thanks so much for making this video. Huge help. With that said, I have to say besides the birds this feature is kinda mid. Way too many common spawns and also it monopolizes any other kind of play in the game. It would be better perhaps if there was a stardust boost for each of the incense catches.
I figured it out poke daxi, can you make video trying this trick because it is working for me getting my legendary bird popping up. For your first catch of the day. Do not catch nothing instead pop the daily incense and give berries and run from every pokemon that pops up for that incense. Then a legendary bird will pop up. It works everyone give it a try crazy things it works.

When my son and I finally had a bird spawn, it was Articuno. I let him use the master ball on it, thinking that Zapdos would be a long time from now... Well Zapdos definitely spawned AND ran the very next day😢
Encountered Zapdos a couple days ago. Used a golden razz and hit an excellent curveball throw with an ultra ball. The ball shook once then it broke out and fled, now i'm shook. There was nothing more I could have done to improve my chances. 😢
My daughter didn't even use a golden razz & her curveball wasn't excellent & she still caught Zapados on the 1st throw on the 1st day. My Moltres ran away...
I've done this new incense for the last week an haven't even seen one of the new legendary birds. My highest poke catch is 29 an might have to use the windy weather trick.
"Avoid events" is not possible since we have these super long events and then another super long event after. When was the last time we seen no active events in the game? Just a shame bc it makes normal spawns for weather and such just not show up. RIP to trying to get ice pokemon when it snowed in the winter and the event that was going on override the spawns. I don't think it will ever be possible to avoid events now, it's pretty clear events are going to happen every time in the game after one ends.
Awesome, a new item with a 0.001% chance to spawn the pokemon it's there for, only a 2% chance to get it on the impossible odds of it showing up, and a 90% chance of it fleeing. While having to change up your normal hunting location and take even more time out of your day just for nothing everyday. This seems basically worthless unless you're just ridiculously lucky, or don't have a job or life outside of pokemon go.
Not new from Niantic to poorly design a new feature so they can bloat grind time. They will later boost this feature, in about a year or so after players complain enough.
@@natstar7864 Yeah, if your house happens to be exactly on top of a place where you can walk 15 minutes in a straight line. I'm willing to bet a lot of people live in cities where you can't just do that anywhere without crossing a street. So either you stop your normal playing and go somewhere else, or you add in an extra 15 minutes a day plus drive time to and from where you're going for it, in return for nearly a 0% chance for anything. You're right, amazing system that takes no time out of your day at all!
2:43 This happened to me with articuno, I accidentally clicked on like 2 different pokemon (instead of a gym) and missed the bird. I clicked on articuno after but it despawned and I never got the encounter.

just a quick tip, if you have access and or can drive a boat, use the daily incense while just cruising on a lake. ive gotten some pretty insane stuff and lots of shiny pokemon doing this
I've gotten 29 but it took quick catch+ar+forcing in spawns with friend tab trick along with excellent on almost all mons(to get first ball catches) also didn't have regular pokeballs so I was only tossing greats
4:02 use a berry before quick catching any berry will do but when you go back in to catch if it caught the pokemon will still have the berry and you can ignore the spawn

I was getting zero then I got on my scooter and I got 21 yesterday.. use fast catch to get rolling faster and make sure the pokemon has a blue incense on his weather boost area

Correction: Legendaries in raids have a 2% base catch rate. These ones from the Daily Adventure Incense only have a 0.3% base catch rate.

I had that crazy Moltrez pop up two days ago but my game froze after I tossed the ball and it just sat there trying to load for 5 minutes. After I broke down and restarted to find that I did not in fact catch the bird I almost tossed the phone at the wall.
Remember that 2% catch rate is more like with the golden razz berry, ultra ball, and excellent throw. Base rate is 0.3%!
So shouldn’t you let your go plus auto catcher try to catch the birds?? It has 40% catch rate

I found if you turn right after pokemon spawns you won't lose any GPS and keep the sightings high. Max so far for me is 27 at mild walking pace and turns at about every 3 blocks

I personally recommend the quick catch if you are going faster than walking.
I have finished catching a porkiman only to see the next spawn vanishing because I ran past them, don't know if it was a glitch or maybe I'm doing something wrong 🤷

My prediction with daily incence is that it will have what the next new 5* raid boss is as the legend spawn(s). Imagine if that were what was happening lol
Thats why I am waiting for these 3 to appear in raids instead of this lame incense. I have done 5 already and not 1 bird. Plus 15 min aint alot of time to try to encounter one and with only a 0.3% catch rate and a 90% chance to flee, yeah not worth my time
@@chelseamcguire7958 yeah it is stupidly hard. Yesterday I found a galar moltres with just 400 sth cp and I gold pinaped and hit an incredible excellent throw but it wasn't enough.

I was able to hit 28 pokemon envounters which I can confirm is the highest. But I was able to catch 27 of em cause the one of em was galar zaptos. Which unfortunately fled despite my Ultra Ball + Golden beery + Curveball + Excellent ball combo. Which was really annoying.

Another good tip is to run a lucky egg if you are a new player as many of these will be new Pokemon you have not caught. I do that and then do a few prepared evolutions between spawns. Helps with the xp gain. I do know that I don't walk fast enough for 28 spawns so there is enough time in between to do some evolutions and I feel like I am maxing out the 15 minutes.
Any tip in getting the incense? It has not been rolled to me yet :(
If the game shows update, go to special research and there should be a questline called "an mysterious incense" once you do the first quest you get it

Are we certain that this Pokémon’s catch rate is even affected by its CP? I saw a 42 CP articuno in the wild, gave it a golden razz, switched to ultra ball, and its catch circle was still completely red. Fled immediately without the ball even shaking.
Something tells me there’s a static catch chance no matter what the CP is, therefore weather boosted or not wouldn’t matter.
Do we have any evidence that lower CP Birds are easier to catch?

With that said, I have to say besides the birds this feature is kinda mid. Way too many common spawns and also it monopolizes any other kind of play in the game. It would be better perhaps if there was a stardust boost for each of the incense catches.

I figured it out poke daxi, can you make video trying this trick because it is working for me getting my legendary bird popping up. For your first catch of the day. Do not catch nothing instead pop the daily incense and give berries and run from every pokemon that pops up for that incense. Then a legendary bird will pop up. It works everyone give it a try crazy things it works.
Total of 108 caught from the new incense...no new birds and one shiny. It's a free incense so no room to complain...but pretty lackluster so far

22-26 spawns, so pretty consistently decent spawn rate.

When my son and I finally had a bird spawn, it was Articuno. I let him use the master ball on it, thinking that Zapdos would be a long time from now... Well Zapdos definitely spawned AND ran the very next day😢
Encountered Zapdos a couple days ago. Used a golden razz and hit an excellent curveball throw with an ultra ball. The ball shook once then it broke out and fled, now i'm shook. There was nothing more I could have done to improve my chances. 😢

I've done this new incense for the last week an haven't even seen one of the new legendary birds. My highest poke catch is 29 an might have to use the windy weather trick.
"Avoid events" is not possible since we have these super long events and then another super long event after. When was the last time we seen no active events in the game? Just a shame bc it makes normal spawns for weather and such just not show up. RIP to trying to get ice pokemon when it snowed in the winter and the event that was going on override the spawns. I don't think it will ever be possible to avoid events now, it's pretty clear events are going to happen every time in the game after one ends.
Before this current event we had about 2 weeks with no event.

Awesome, a new item with a 0.001% chance to spawn the pokemon it's there for, only a 2% chance to get it on the impossible odds of it showing up, and a 90% chance of it fleeing. While having to change up your normal hunting location and take even more time out of your day just for nothing everyday. This seems basically worthless unless you're just ridiculously lucky, or don't have a job or life outside of pokemon go.
Not new from Niantic to poorly design a new feature so they can bloat grind time. They will later boost this feature, in about a year or so after players complain enough.
It only lasts 15 mins having no life makes no difference unless you got loads of accounts to try to spawn it then try to catch it.
@@natstar7864 Yeah, if your house happens to be exactly on top of a place where you can walk 15 minutes in a straight line. I'm willing to bet a lot of people live in cities where you can't just do that anywhere without crossing a street. So either you stop your normal playing and go somewhere else, or you add in an extra 15 minutes a day plus drive time to and from where you're going for it, in return for nearly a 0% chance for anything. You're right, amazing system that takes no time out of your day at all!
2:43 This happened to me with articuno, I accidentally clicked on like 2 different pokemon (instead of a gym) and missed the bird. I clicked on articuno after but it despawned and I never got the encounter.

just a quick tip, if you have access and or can drive a boat, use the daily incense while just cruising on a lake. ive gotten some pretty insane stuff and lots of shiny pokemon doing this

I found a Articuno with about 800 cp and I was like Ash, I had to much respect to catch it. It definitly not flee.
I've gotten 29 but it took quick catch+ar+forcing in spawns with friend tab trick along with excellent on almost all mons(to get first ball catches) also didn't have regular pokeballs so I was only tossing greats
Was also in a car with someone else driving going 12 km/h in a large straight park area
Have had 2 spawns of birds. Hit both with excellent curve and gold berries and they ran

4:02 use a berry before quick catching any berry will do but when you go back in to catch if it caught the pokemon will still have the berry and you can ignore the spawn

Poké Daxi I was in a car driving straight down the road. And Zapdos popped up!! Caught him with a ultra ball and golden razz berry!! Had nothing for stats but still
