@Excalibur Clan You seriously need to realise that nobody asked you for your opinion. People are just trying to be happy and praising their idols and you come in with your unwanted opinion and killing the vibe
ABBA did not appear in the Year End Global Top 10 until 1974. So, they were not in the Top 10's of 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973. Nor were they in the Top 10 for 1979. So, they were hardly in the Top 10 of every Year, in the 1970's.

Mostly it was just between The Beatles and the Stones. Elvis was KING. He had started transitioning to films by the time The Beatles and Stones started going head to head.

It's actually pretty interesting seeing and hearing the change in the videos and music. The 80s struck me as a strange time for music videos, like it's a big transitional period between 70s and 90s style whereas the music itself changes quite dramatically. It's also pretty interesting how aggressive people can get over music taste but it's something we all seem to do. I liked this list though, for one thing it's a window into the past and also a nostalgia trip, I've only just realised how much I listened to Eminem in 00s 😂. This list also showed me when I sort of jumped off the trend train because I just couldn't get into them beyond 2012/13 at most and 2019 almost killed me and I consider myself to like a variety of genres too. It's probably because 2019 is still recent and I have nightmares of the amount of repeats of Old Town Road and Bad Guy I heard wherever I went. Replays can kill a song you like, replays of one you don't like can be torture but times change and so does taste.
Yeah this is far from accurate. When it got to th 90's I said to myself here comes all the backstreet boys and nsync hits... they weren't on there one time.
