    Thank you for the very nice and informative review as well as for the rocker tutorial to which I will be getting shortly. I agree with you that the user information Powerslide provides is scandalous. At the moment I have 2 pairs of high-end Powerslide skates and as you say, none of them came with any sort of manual. On the top of that, the their website is worthless, listing only the newest models - supercool - buy, buy, buy sort of thing. Zero customer support after one has given them the money :(

    • @DeezSkates
      @DeezSkates  5 років тому

      I can’t speak to their customer support. I haven’t had to deal with that. And I love all my Powerslide skates, but I do wish they had more information with the skate and made each model longer. I bought the Helios last year and you almost can’t find it anymore accord to some other viewers!

    Awesome narration :) thanks for the review. Did they fit true to your foot length? do you have any room in front of your toes? or are they always in touch with the boot? (or not when you bend the knees)? Sorry for the questions but i bought many skates in the past and made many sizing mistakes. I would like to have your 2cents. The toe box is surprisingly wide on the 2017 Evo; i guess its quite the same here.
    Thanks for your work, keep it up!

    • @DeezSkates
      @DeezSkates  6 років тому +3

      @sighange,
      My feet do touch the front, but just barely. There is no pressure. Personally, I believe that ordering as close to your actual foot length as possible is the best way to go. A snug fit is very important to me for performance. So when I order skates online I measure both of my feet to the millimeter and order the closest size within no more or less than 4-5mm. Using this formula has been accurate for every skate I've ordered for a long time. I have these skates in a European size 41 (US 9) and the chart shows 263mm. My feet are 265mm and they are what I consider to be a perfect fit, especially after I heat molded the skates! Thanks for your question! Discussion is always welcome!

    • @curiexr8292
      @curiexr8292 6 років тому

      By the way which size chart are you using? The one that I saw online had EU41 as 265mm, not 263mm. My left foot is 295mm and my right is 292mm, do you think I should go with EU45? Thank you!

  • @oise08
    @oise08 5 років тому

    Dave, did you buy your normal size in these skates? For example, I also have the Reign Helios in EU 42, but I wear a size EU 41 in the Seba High Light Carbon, and would need a size EU 43 for most hard shell boots.

    I have been quad and inline skating for years. I have always been better a quad skating when it came to jamming etc. I was simply mesmerized by your style and dancing on these skates. Were they rockered during that dance part of the video?

      Great to meet another quad skater on here! They were indeed rockered the whole video. Make sure you're subscribed! Our next video is a vlog where we go into a roller rink on quads wearing colored suits! You'll love it!

    without the insole for urban skating? with carbon? no problem?

    • @DeezSkates
      @DeezSkates  5 років тому

      Suwerenny PL
      It already has a sole that is part of the liner. You will not need to add a separate insole. No problem.

      thanks. What about the absorbtion? they are not good for urban skating like plastic shell?

    How to heat mold these skates:
    ua-cam.com/video/_7ee3razl9k/v-deo.html
    I heat molded my Kaze 110 skates using this tutorial:
    ua-cam.com/video/GhlyEzfevew/v-deo.html
    Wore normal socks and folded paper towels across my toes and on my ankle bones where i felt pressure before. Then pulled winter socks on top of this. After heating them up to 80° celsius for 13 minutes one by one, I laced and strapped in tight so it takes up the shape of my feet. Waited 15-20 minutes sitting in skating position to cool down.

    Why didnt u go with the powerslide next 100’s? I am just like u, i played hockey my whole life and am used to roller hockey skates...but want something more comfy and skates i can cruise around the city and skatepark as well as playing some drop in hockey at my outdoor rink

    • @DeezSkates

      Chris, when I bought these Powerslide was still pushing the Cruiser skates and the NEXT had not yet released. These are a great outdoor skate for city skating, but I would also recommend to check out my review on the Seba High Light. It is one of my favorite city skates!

    can you atach your hokey reight frames to this evos boots?
    I do Slalom but also like doing urban jumping and slides. i have a pair of WFSCs with a 76mm DriftFrame, and i love how you can change the rocket in just seconds. I want to upgrade the frame to be a little bit faster but without degratting my slalom abilitys and as i saw with this frames i will need to change the boot ;( . If am going to buy some new one i want to be sure if to get this boot with the 90mm or the 100mm(this one is making my mind). thanks 4 ur responce ;) got faceb?

      These Evos are on the Trinity mount system and are compatible with any other Trinity mount frame, so yes; I can swap the frames between this one and the frames from my Reign hockey skates! Cheers!

    So would You say that PS HC Evo are better skates for Inline Hockey than Reign Helios?
    For me it looks that You are skating in flow in HC Evo, but not in Helios.

    • @DeezSkates
      @DeezSkates  5 років тому

      aimatsuki
      I do a different style of skating in each skate. Plus, my review of the Helios was my first time ever in them, versus this one where I’d been using these skates for weeks. I would say the Helios are better for hockey. Though the technology for both are similar and you could do hockey in either. The hockey skate lining is thinner and the profile of the heel is lower.

    Did the liner start to get smelly after awhile and how is the ventilation?

    • @DeezSkates
      @DeezSkates  5 років тому

      PacoVL46
      I have not personally had any issues with smelly insoles. I live in Texas and used these all trough the summer. No ventilation issues that I noticed.

    • @DeezSkates
      @DeezSkates  6 років тому +1

      Personally, I like the Helios the best, but they are both made for different things and equally good at their specific job. I am planning a video that discusses the difference between a few different skates, and this comparison is on the list!

    It is nearly 1 Year you skate those "HC EVO" I think. I am playing with the idea to wrap some Carbon (HC-EVO) around my feet. 500 Euros are pretty much money, so I would realy appreciate a feedback of how durable these shiny Boots are. Maybe you want to make a video or just tell me if they last at least one full season without falling apart.
    I am skating agressive since 1995. Since i get older i tryed some Bigwheels (Kizer Trimax 3x110) and got some Slalom-cones. That sh*t is a hell of fun, but my Agressiveskates does not give me the support i need for those crazy dancemoves ( which I try to copy from your Videos).
    P.s.: Thank you for the Tutorials. After 20 years of skating I did not know my Skates have Edges. You showed me that there are 6 of them. That improves my skating a lot as i try to learn them.

    • @DeezSkates
      @DeezSkates  5 років тому +2

      TBH, the boot in this video is not the same boot I have now. This one was too small. I sold it and have only had the new ones for maybe two months. So far they’re fantastic, but I can’t personally speak to their long term durability yet.

      @@DeezSkates Ah, ok. Thanks for the quick reply.
      I believe i order some as soon as i have the money and figure out for myself. I am pretty sure they are worth the money......... At least i hope so.

    • @DeezSkates
      @DeezSkates  5 років тому +2

      In my experience they are worth the money. I expect them to last a few years. So far they’ve been great and I see no reason why they wouldn’t last you.
