Love these movies a lot. I wrote my thesis on Sergio Leone and his influence on film history. It all started when my dad told me about Once Upon A Time In The West (and essentially spoiled the hanging of Harmonica's brother but I can't blame him, that scene is unforgettable).
I have the same hat from Knudsen. Great hat !! I did a lot of shaping even after sending them several stills of the look I wanted. My brim is a little flatter than yours, with slight curling around the edges and a slight dip in the front. You might want to consider pinching the edges of your crown … Clint has it less rounded over around the top :)
straightline collectibles makes many of the parts for this outfit, and at very decent price. I didn't order from them because I ain't in the US but saw the result and it's excellent.
Denix makes decent prop weapons, although I don't care for the fake brass plating on that one. In the good the bad and the ugly most of the actors used guns custom made by Ubertei, basically 1851 Colt Navy frames open top with cartridge cylinders, not conversions. Very interesting guns I wonder if any of them ever surfaced. I think the most accurate weapon choice from today's market would be a pieta 1851 Navy with a tailors and company 38 LC smokeless powder cylinder. There's no loading gate, just as there is no loading gate on the Colt 1851s used by the primary actors in Good bad and ugly
Wrong about the loading gate. If you remember the scene where Clint is cleaning his pistol, there definitely WAS a loading gate. There was also one on Angel Eyes' Remington, which could be seen when the gun was holstered
I often hear that the poncho originally was green, but whenever I see Clint Eastwood in the poncho now it’s very clearly brown!? What’s up with that? I’m genuinely very curious
It’s due to the quality of the film the movie was shot on. To cut costs they used cheaper film and so it degraded and changed the colors, making the poncho appear brown. If you watch the restored version of a for a few dollars more you’ll see it’s green.
I know a cosplayer who uses cinnamon sticks in place of cigars. They look similar from a distance and taste great.

Thank you ❤. Do you know some websites besides that one? I did check them out but couldn’t find any sherpa vests 😢
@@akthamm4176 Couldn't either, ended up making it myself with some faux leather.
this looks awesome, what about a godfather cosplay, don vito corleone?

@@AlexPlaysVideoGamez but what about this video? ua-cam.com/video/Yop6vIxYWVc/v-deo.html
Hahah good pun
@@AlexPlaysVideoGamezGotto be honest with you, brown poncho looks much better. It suits more to his hat and hair colour
Looks Aweasome!!!
Actually im pretty sure clint eastwood said that his poncho was green on one side and brown on another
That's what I said as well--backed up with evidence and he deleted the comments.
May I ask where you got the vest? I actually like it better than the ones I’ve seen.
Amazon, link should be in the description.
@@AlexPlaysVideoGamezThanks for the reply, but I don’t see it in the description.
What about below the belt? Pants? Boots?
Some jeans will do and any pair of cowboy boots. I recommend Tecovas if you’re looking to get a decent pair to wear generally.
Clint actually bought black jeans
Thank you, but I can't buy any of this because I'm from Brazil, I'll try search them in local stores
You can probably get some of it shipped to you, no?
yes, but generally overpriced@@AlexPlaysVideoGamez
Wait! What about the boots?? They are essential part of the costume...
Any cowboy boot will do. I recommend Tecovas if you’re looking to invest in a good pair.
Not related to the topic of the video bit I had a really hard time hearing what you were saying I recommend having the mic closer to yourself
Sorry about that, the mic is above my head and I realized after the brim of the hat blocks the sound of my voice.
and they used all of that shyte in the desert? im daying of heat already just looking at the video
Clint is so cool the heat didn’t affect him.
Spain can get quite cold actually, don't judge a book by its cover.
@@PhotographyInFlight4183 but thi is the old west, in north america not spain haha
@@Thegeobot LOL, oh yeah that's right.😄
I think they wear it so sun wouldnt burn their skin, look how Arabs walk around with all that clothes and hats and they live in similar climate
FYI, the poncho you're wearing is too NARROW!
It barely reaches over your shoulders, while Clint's came down almost to his elbows
The poncho is meant to be brown, You’re one is green
The one they used for all the movies is actually green but due to the film degrading it appears brown. You can still use either color.
Btw I am The Man With No Name in the only good western game RDR2
@@RDR2_For_Lifeonly good are you serious rdr1 better
Where did you get the poncho
Links to everything are in the description!
