Tesla Software Update 2024.14.3 - Testing Average Speed Zones

- Short video to show what I've found during testing. Suggestions welcome... It’s possible that if I had tried to switch off Autopilot, maybe it would have displayed it. There’s actually not many 2-point speed cameras in Victoria, I believe only the Hume and Peninsula link have them so far.
Online Routing was turned on and I have Premium Connectivity. We’ll probably get an answer just be me sharing this, so check the comments.

It's an amazing update. I got to work, parked and set the update to start. Drove a new car home. The matrix headlights are great!
I did the same this morning when I got to work but alas no new update yet! Grrrr lol
@@johnlambert1744 we have 2 Model 3s in the family and no update for the other one yet
@@Rabs73 Mine came through Friday afternoon last week.
Did anyone else still not get this udpate?
Ah damn! Hope this works in the U.K. we have soooo many of these zones
just got my update today, same as Ryan it didn't activate. Really annoying
I love this update so much it is best update ever !🎉🎉🎉 Amzzing video as always waiting for my model y 😂
Did you change something in th setting that when you access or put eh car in park that your interface gps moves away ?
Really interesting Ryan! Didn’t know it was out yet! Grandparents will have to learn some more things! 😂
preview of sentry mode recording to the phone also does not work?
Does the car always start with the car render in the middle or can you change it in settings so it doesn’t
I have no idea what this means or is supposed to do lol
In the UK and EU countries we have Average Speed Cameras which time you over a long distance to work out your average speed over many miles
Yep, we've moved to MP
Normally you get a picture if you went too fast by the camera. Meaning you get fined, for going too fast in that 1 particular psot. But since EU is very friendly place, they changed the laws, to now bill you for going too fast over lets say last 10 km. Hence, the average speed.
I'm loving the auto high beam update! Even on my old 2022 model 3
Waited for a video like this. Now the adjustment of speed limits should be way better
Love the home screen interface change. And I haven't seen so many features released in one update.
They called it a spring update for a reason 🎉
You have to have the satnav activated for destination. It works fine here in the UK.
Wish there was an audible warning too as well as the visual promt.
You can hear the audible warning chime in the video ! And I have nav on. Watch it again.
I couldn’t see the new version update in my 2023 model 3. Is there something I need to do manually for receiving the update ?
Tesla has a random software update rollout. You can manually check if there is one available for your car but unless Tesla has pushed it to your car you won’t get it yet. There isn’t anything you can do from your end.
Helllo, do you have Fsd ? Want to know if full screen viz will be available to all
I don't have FSD. This update has been rolling out to customers in Australia, so hopefully soon to US and others.
Let’s go!
Are these updates not rolled out to everyone at the same time? Seems like my 2024 Model Y doesn’t have this update available yet…
No. They a random rollouts. Tesla don’t update fleet all at once in case there is an issue with the update. I don’t think you will have to wait long for this one.
I find the revised traffic visualisation so distracting. Almost horrible. Wish they was a function to turn it off unless you are in TACC or FSD.
My Y needs to hurry up and get this update
Where did you try this Ryan?
On the freeway north of Melbourne? I remember coming across these average speed cameras many years ago and thought I got caught, fortunately I must have been doing the limit the whole way.
Peninsula Link
Map related update features can take a while to work here in Australia. We might need to wait for the next Tesla map update.
We still don’t have a lot of the new map features/symbols other countries got a while back like stop signs and traffic lights. China even got traffic light countdowns to green.
Interesting that it recognised the Average Speed Zone approaching / and the end of it, but didn't display the new UI
@@RyanCowan Hopefully just a bug then. As far as I understand the Tesla maps are a mix of on board map data and real time traffic info. It’s been a while since I got a map update. February was the last time for me. The map data might need to be updated before we get proper functionality. I don’t have any average speed cameras near me to test.
maybe its a setting ?
You need to turn the speed camera function on.
.... ? Please explain
i don't evne have the update yet.
same. how do i get the update
@@dragon5946 Don't install it. It's shithouse.
I see I'm in the minority here but the new update is shithouse! They moved the bloody energy consumption bar to the side! Why? Before it was in a central spot, a natural separation of the road image and speedometer. Now it's barely visible and you can't even tell where it starts and ends. I hate it. An as we can see in this video, paid features don't work properly either.
Nope. You're not the only one mate. I hate where the regen bar has been moved to. It's annoying to look at it now after the update.
Auto speed is not that great with fsd 12
Yeah think something is wrong with it.
Second
then why make the video? 😅
Feedback helps
That is why Tesla are shitty
Tesla... sw update
