    Great video. l still watch the old videos you can pick up alot from both.. lm still addicted to watching them..8 months ago when I found Eric,Vicki and his dad's "DAVE" videos I was in recovery from open heart surgery. They build my confidence and strength back up as I prayed one day to meet them.. Believe me God comes threw every time l had the pleasure of meeting them in person a few months later.. for those who think you can't you can stay patient and positive.. thank you Eric & Vicki for all you guys do...

    Eric , I understand the purpose of you site, train demonstrate , sell tools , give tool reviews etc.. I must say this is one of my favorites. I’m an amateur when it comes to this but you encourage those of us who are just learning.
    That said I wonder if you realize the entertainment value of your site. Example, it Sunday night and I’m getting a little bored , so think “I’m going to watch Eric carve “. If I never even had the desire to try it my self it is still fun to watch. Each time I think as I watch , this is fascinating !!!

      Thank you Michael. I so appreciate you watching and the wonderful compliments and kind words. I guess I don't think to much about entertainment value much I just want to make sure I give as much information and help as possible.

    Another great learning video from the master. One of the biggest things I recommend is just what you said here, search for the newest video on a subject. I've bought so much stuff I'll never use because the first video I'd see on a subject, I'd go buy whatever only to see in a newer video, something new, improved, and better.

    This is a perfect training video. After our conversation and one on one training I have not nicked or had to repair a letter. The carving is much quicker now that I’m not removing the ridge. Being “anal” I thought for sure the ridge would show after painting the background and the letters would not look perfect. I was wrong. You and only you will know the ridge is there and your letters look so much better with the ridge vs. nicked letters. Eric I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to make these videos. There is no better Mentor than you and carvers from around the world follow you because you are such a great teacher. Thanks for being you!

    Hi guys. When I spray my wood and I try to sand my paint is smearing. What am I doing wrong
    Thanks linda

    • @oldave100
      @oldave100  2 роки тому +1

      Could be several issues. Make sure you're using the correct spray. Here's a video ua-cam.com/video/AA4ZCXotYCQ/v-deo.html Make sure it's dry before you sand. Also use a rough grit 1st sand. I use 60 grit. I take off most of the black with this one. Then finish sand with 120 grit. If you have any other questions or issues let me know eric@makeawoodsign.com
