First time playing violin

I played cello for five years (2008 to 2013) and would sometimes pluck things out on the family violin. Just graduated college, so I figure I need something to do in my free time. This is me playing it for the first time ever. Scales, then attempting to pick out The Entertainer and Ashokan Fairwell. I knew them a long time ago.

actually, how do you play notes on violin? since there are no lines like guitar / bass

Muscle memory! You just have to remember where to place your fingers.
