Prathibha..you aren't just a musician. You are a human anatomy expert. Exactly which part of the body strains when you sing wrong, which part of the body should reverberate when you sing right. To know all this, and most importantly, to explain all this with such clarity to listeners/viewers is not easy.
I was not serious about my singing until recently. After years of dedication and determination, now I started getting many venues to perform. But that’s when things started to go wrong. I too felt this crack and was terribly upset. Luckily I found your videos and it really helped me correct many mistakes. I really appreciate your efforts to make such meaningful aspects on vocal training as we don’t see such clean video presentation. God bless you and your efforts to impart knowledge to fellow beings 🙏🏼
Thank You so so much. 🙏🏽 It’s not even up to a few mini I tried what you said to consciously relax the neck and lower jaw, felt such ease while singing. And I always wonder why I feel so stressed and drained whenever I sing! And why I can’t be free singing, and I love singing. It was terribly frustrating! Thanks so much for the light, I’m your new subscriber & fan. I thank the Lord Jesus for bringing me across your channel… ❤registering this in my subconscious now 😂
Now only i came to know the term voice crack.... Once i was singing suddenly i felt a mosquito entangled in my throught, i went out and gargled then i returned to sing... It happened twice...
Ok it might feel rude but she did not reveal the secret fully. Smart. You should say use your nose. Because it would be contradictory to other videos that you made. I don’t understand why don’t you say truth.
Thank you!! I needed this! I tend to tense up and get nervous when I am about to go on stage, so do you have any tips for staying relaxed when nervous? If so, I would love a video :))
Simply Amazing!I was totally remembering S.Janaki voice clearly while listening each and every point you told, because actually she is doing these things for so many years while singing on stage or recording.Thnx for this very important video!
The circumference of vocal cord mostly decides this problem. By nature, females have narrow path than males and wind pipe, air passage while speaking, singing also plays a key role. By taking deep breath before start singing a note, gives a better result. However, practice is so important with varying rhythmic pattern also so crucial🙏🙏

Been following you for some time, Pratibha. Great content and excellent breakdown of skills; not to mention the revelatory tips you share. Thanks for spreading the richness. Keep enlightening. Keep enchanting. Cheers!💐
Great tips, thanks! For me personally, I have another trick: I don't sind that high notes any more. Tried it for a long time and even with all tips, I just can't reach some notes my idols reach. That's life 😞
Try the following things 1. Ensure you do a good warmup before singing songs 2. Sing in your comfortable range 3. Avoid throat singing as I have mentioned in this video. That is the cause of most of the strain and tiredness.
@@VoxGuru ma'am but I sing more than my range... but I don't get exausted soo soon... I sing male songs in their orriginal scale... they start from upper Sa or Ri (G#).....
I am from uttarakhand thanks for this video And in your next video please give a shoutout to Pappu karki And listen his song please 🙏❤ Love from uttarakhand
Thanks for the great series on singing!! I am a big fan of your voice and rendition. Me, being an engineer, cannot figure out chest or head voice. It is vocal cords that vibrate from the air from the lungs. Focusing your voice below the eyes is difficult for me to understand. Can you comment please?
Thank you! You’re right, the vocal cords vibrate from the air from the lungs. But these vibrations alone cannot produce a sound. These vibrations resonate in a chamber/cavity of our body. Similar to how a guitar has a big chamber where the vibration of strings resonates to produce the sound. So based on where in our body the vibrations resonate, the tone of our voice changes. This can be a little difficult to imagine at first, but if you observe regularly as you sing, you will get an understanding of where the various notes are resonating in your body.
Thank you mam❤ I used to sing when I was in school and my classmates started appreciating my voice and singing but after some time I lose hope that singing can be a career for me because I saw people are running towards this career nd I got scared from the competition that's why I sttoped singing but now whenever I sing I want to sing very well and perfect nd I want to became a good singer after watching your video I believe I can complete my wish and I can learn from you thank you I respect you you are my guru/teacher ❤
It’s easy to say don’t use your throat, but I’ve not seen anybody actually show how stomach can be used… I pull my stomach in to produce the sound, but finally the vocal chords are present in your throat, so that’s what we use… it’s easy to say feel or imagine vibrations, but not easy to attain .
Not using the throat basically means keeping your neck and jaw relaxed while singing. It doesn’t mean that it is not at all involved in the singing process. Also if you are not able to use your stomach you could try visualising the side ribs expand. That’s usually easier to feel and can help you expand your lung capacity.
If u invloved and enjoyed in ur self whole body is involved with the song then u can able to sing in any picth any variation any modulation first u should listen more not practice more my observing listening only song will come fastly
Voice crack is always problematic 🙂 Never practice if your voice is cracking. Ensure you go back to doing safe warmup exercises to open up the voice first and practice a lower range until your voice is comfortable.

It is worthful advice 👌
I was just singing while getting a voice crack and found this damn how dangerous is social media
Can we do riyaz when we have voice crack? also how to identify if voice crack is problematic or normal one that we got without practise? please reply
Voice crack is always problematic 🙂 Never practice if your voice is cracking. Ensure you go back to doing safe warmup exercises to open up the voice first and practice a lower range until your voice is comfortable.
Thank you very much mam 🙏🙏💐🌹🌹
