Wow! Not too often you see a UA-cam video on a silver car being transformed, purely because it's normally quite hard to see a difference - but you definitely managed it here Dave. Fantastic job mate, car looks amazing 👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼🔥
Fantastic results there Dave, brilliant video and I like how you only focus for a short time on any one of the processes, you are right, we don't need to see you polish the whole car as the finished result will be the pay off. 👍
Thanks Paul, I just try to keep people engaged with the video. it’s like you said, many tune in for The finished result and just need to see snippets of how it was achieved.
I’m hoping now that the weather is better I’ll get much more detailing content on the go and the channel will be more diverse with detailing and projects
Thanks Graeme, yeah it actually reminds me a lot of the 4 series GC that I had, nice big boot good driving position and was nice to drive. There’s going to be much more detailing stuff coming now the weather is better
Nice job there Dave. I had the same problem with a neighbor's silver Kia roof, those black spots. Thrown everything at it, Koch chemie Eu, only clay bar worked. Still don't know what it was 🤣👍
Thankyou mate, yeah it was really stubborn. Must of been tree sap that’s just been there for ages, after the contact wash I used a clay cloth with the GT zero and it came away easily with that.
Dave, big fan of your videos, especially your style of delivery, I prefer these types as opposed the resto stuff but all are good. Big fan of GT Interior, fantastic product but I do like to apply an anti static dressing afterwards... Like you, this rinse with water first or not etc.... I don't give a stuff, as a hobbyist who does it to clear my head etc I do all the time, if I were in the trade then made I would follow the science.
Thanks Chris, now that the weather is starting to pick there will be a lot more detailing content coming back. The plan is to have 2 videos per week, one detailing and one car resto type stuff and hoping to possibly stock up on the detailing videos to see me through next winter.
It sure was mate, I’m hoping now that the weather has turned I’ll be able to get much more stuff like this done in between waiting for parts for the Subaru.
I did 1 car with that infinity wax light ceramic and 1 with Gyeon cancoat last September, both easy to use but the cancoat has blown it away for over winter performance on the super salty roads up North here
I’ve not had the chance to use can coat yet but it’s on the list as I want to do the exact test you’ve just mentioned but possibly half the car done with can coat and half with synergy lite. Did you find can coat as easy to apply as the synergy?
@@DavidMcBay To be honest, can coat was probably a tiny bit easier to buff off but both definitely easy to use. But the difference in the water performance is wild. Cancoat is a monster, both products are still going fine but the water performance is night and day.
It’s worth a try David, it’s very easy to use, and with the ability to use outside would be a good option if a customer wants to upgrade their protection.
Great turnaround there Dave and nice to see some detailing content again
Thanks mate, hopefully much more to
Come now
Good job on that one mate, i do love seeing a neglected car being brought back to life.
Thanks mate, they really do make for good videos

Thanks Mark, really enjoyed doing this one out in the sun and it was great to get a nice visible transformation.

What a turnaround Dave, the car looks awesome. A lot of hard work but definitely paid off. Well done mate👍👍
Thankyou Martin, it was nice to get some good weather and get the camera out and enjoy doing a bit of car cleaning.
Great results ✨
I do miss the more regular detailing videos But also really enjoying seeing the scooby coming together.
I’m hoping now that the weather is better I’ll get much more detailing content on the go and the channel will be more diverse with detailing and projects
Yey! Dave is detailing!!! Great job mate. Love to see a turn around like that!
Thanks mate, I’m just glad the weather has picked up enough to get the camera out again. Was nice to start the year with a howler of a car aswell.
Excellent turn around Dave a wee change from Subaru keep up the good work 👍🚗
Thankyou William, hopefully now the weather is a bit better there will be much more variety over the next few months.
Great video mate, some great products I fully agree with you are fantastic.
Great to see some detailing again mate.
Thankyou mate, now the weather has picked up there will be much more detailing content coming to go with the project car stuff
Great video Dave!!, Always liked the Passat and you’ve certainly given this one a new lease of life , great to see more detailing content again 👌

Thanks mate, how’s things with you? We getting a video of the van build soon?
@@DavidMcBay getting there mate, sorting a couple of work things out but at the point now of telling work where to go and see what I can make happen
That’s great mate, looking forward to seeing how you get on

Thanks Jeff
Nice one mate, looks mint, was it an enjoyable break from Subaru work? :)

Great results. By the way it’s a VW CC not a Passat. Nice looking cars and very underrated.
yeah its a very nice car, this is my dads latest purchase and ive been driving it about for the last week, very nice car to drive.
What’s that foam/microfibre sponge you was using on the dash ?
its called a scrub pad, heres a link for them amzn.to/380qVIN they are great for interior cleaning
@@DavidMcBay thanks , what material is the non microfibre side ?
Its like a synthetic bristle type material

I’ve got another few cars lined up for a similar detail as this video so I think can coat will be getting used on one.
Not use there ceramic yet.
Car come up while David.
