This is the first time I see Bougatsa, and it conquer me immediately. I really want to go to Greece to eat it! The owner of the bakery is so nice, and the spinach pie looks delicious and perfect for breakfast! The dessert of milk pudding and racki after lunch should be a perfect match to make you look more energetic! The streets there are so beautiful. I lived on Crete for a total of 17 months. Raki is great because you can also use it as aftershave and as a disinfectant. 😜 Dakos salad is also one of my favorites. It originated in a very remote and secluded region of Crete, in the South. The people just took their old bread and grated fresh tomatoes on top of it, plus the cheese. So simple, healthy, and delicious!

Amazing video, but I recommend you the next time you visit again Greece you should go at Volos and try out the local as we call them tsipouradika with the meze that they serve along tsipouro. It's a great experience and you should try it out.

You hit a home run with Oasis, Iordanis and Mitsos. I have been eating at Oasis for longer than I can remember. I remember when I was younger my cousin would send me to Oasis to get us lunch. There is a reason it is only $3 euros, but they have THE BEST souvlaki/gyro I have eaten.

The "dakos" bread dish with the tomato salsa looked incredible. I was doing a quick search and found out that it is not something commercially available but if you can find a whole wheat multi grain bread and let it go stale if will work as a good substitute. I don't care for the dipping in water part but I think if you put the tomato salsa on the bread an hour before eating it will probably soak in enough. Strongest liquor in Alcohol in Greece is Tsipouro . Same colour same product that raki and wine is produced ( grapes ) but different distillery proccess . First of all to all the people who argue about if Greek food is the best or not I’m a fairly big guy and big eater I used to spend 4-5 months a year in Greece and 7-8 months in the USA When I was in Greece I would not eliminate any food from my daily meals Instead I would eat a lot more desserts I would eat a ton of bugatsa,douliumbes,kariokes and galaktobouriko On almost a daily basis Plenty of bread with my salad So after my vacations I would go home and I would notice that I lost a lot of weight As soon as I was in the states I would watch my food intake And I would gain a lot of weight So yes Greek food is the best ❤️🇬🇷

You'll need to dry it in an oven. Just having it stale is not the right texture.
