18 month review. I have been using this blade everyday. I'm still amazed how lightweight and fast it opens. About 4 months ago I used it to pry something I shouldn't have and knocked it out alignment in liner. I thought I ruined the barrings. Nope, just needed to tighten the axis scew alil and good as new.
This is the only folder I've ever seen and thought, "Whoa, I really want that." And for $30, well, that's just awesome!

the fraxion would be perfect for urban edc. it packs a hell of a punch for something so light and small. nice vid and review Aaron, as always.
It's cool to see them doing manuals on bearings at this price
So glad this is manual action and not speedsafe (which I've had fail twice re: broken spring).
I've had the fraxion for a couple of weeks and I'm still blown away by how light it is. I love that diamond-like coating on the blade, and I know it's a DLC coating because its the same coating on the blade of my Kershaw Blur blackwash. Love your videos, keep them coming!
I am a huge fan of kershaw and have been for years. Affordable, does the tasks it needs to do, and can last as long as you want it to. Awesome review!

I have the Skyline the model with a S30V blade had it for awhile, its already feather weight, now this one at 1.9 oz! Super light weight, i'm definitely looking forward to it.
So I picked this up and thought it would wear in but the detent on mine is way, way too stiff. Will it wear in eventually? I've had to thumb flip it because I can barely flip this with my pointer.

I just found out that the Roamers from Steel Will won't be coming out until the end of September. Now I'm very very sad...

I got one of these, but I'm not a huge fan of it for two reasons: 1. the ball detent is way to strong (although this may be just my particular knife) and 2. You really have to be careful every time you close the knife, or the bearing system will let that blade drop right on your thumb.
it's too small for me when you showed how small it's in your hands, I need a .25" more, but I like Kershaw's so I might have to get it for my collection. Thanks for the review and your size comparisons you always do, I appreciate that.
I love the knife -- the action on it is astounding at this price point. The design is just beautiful. I wish the pocket clip were a bit deeper carry and I wish this was on offer in a better steel. But still, at this price point, it's a great knife.

Love mines I bought 1 for 7 dollars at walmart then when I test it few days later bought the last 2 awesome little knife and for the price I got them 7 dollars each even better they feel much better than 50 dollars knife for the 30 dollars original price tag it is a good one

This is now my second knife, first is the skyline.
My modification will probably be taking some high grit sandpaper and a dowel to run the edges it digs into my hand and don't like the feel when operating the flipper.
2500 grit sandpaper and a 5\16 dowel rod has made a world of difference in taking the bite out of the edges.
I like the look. even though I don't really like non metal handle on knives
I just got it and I hate how hard the flipper action is.. also it really digs into my finger. Other than that it's a great little knife

Why is a small or delicate knife meant for ladies?
The Square Foot many of the women I know don't like a large heavy knife. if that's the case this is a perfect knife for them. its also perfect for the more dressy situations when my large heavy EDC doesn't really work well with the thinner material and shallow pockets.
The scar on my back from my ex can ascertain to that. The scars on my forehead and leg are also proof women like flying box fans and cast iron skillets.
I’d like to see a head up match between this type knife vs another with a super steel, and see if it’ll hold up next to it, cause I could be wrong but if done right I say it’ll hold up just as long if not better

personally I like a higher ride knife it allows you to get a better purchase on the knife while drawing it out of your pocket

The knife was calling me until you mentioned the steel (8Cr13MoV). Not into that type of steel, I would have compromised with Kershaw's 420HC. Nevertheless, slick design!
I'd pay $60 for the exact same knife with S30V.

i've never heard of a knife categorized as a possible "date night" knife before, lol. i was still processing that notion when the reviewer mentioned the interest it might generate when you "whipped it out". (edit: wait, that would sorta makes sense from the point of view of a girl trying a tinder date without backup, i spose).

Hey Aaron, I know this isn't currently relevant but I decided to post it here as it's your most recent video. I recently watched your video on the Steel Will Cutjack, and have decided to buy it. However, I'm a wee lad at 5'10" (teenager right now so hopefully for not much longer), and I was wondering if you thought if the Cutjack Mini would "fit me" better.
Knifes don't generally depend on the height of the pserson. It's almost always your hand size. Large hands will generally fit bigger knives better, so if you think you have small hands then maybe the mini version would be a better fit for you.
Have you checked out the new Kershaw AM 3/4 Al Mar collabs? They look like very nice slender gentleman's folders,, but I'm not sure how they feel and how useful they are.

can u link me to where u got that skyline clip? I'm not a fan of the factory clip, shiny, wide, with the large Kershaw logo etched into it, attracts too much attention for a slim knife. I've been carrying the kershaw amplitude 3.25 walmart special this past week.
Just look on amazon or eBay for skyline aftermarket clips.

Cool looking little knife, but... 3 fingers, so-so budget steel, and a very protrusive carry, i'll have to pass. IMHO, an esee zancudo would be a better choice (even comes in D2 now).
This may be an ultralight, but I don't know about calling this a gentleman's/ladies folder. Generally cut swedges, sharp clip points, and black blades read to the non-knife crowd as a scary "murder knife." That's part of the attraction of the Skyline, the knife doesn't look aggressive.
Is it weird that I've never cared about knife weight?
