I love how the dog is keeping an eye on the kid in the background
I wanted to thank you for all your videos. You are a top notch knife reviewer, whom I have come to trust. I just ordered a Kershaw Natrix. All my best to you and thanks for all you do!
Well i like it. I have the link and a zt 0770, all somewhat similar in design/blade shape. I don't mind having to touch up the blade more often on the budget steels. I find with most of my edc's that i do a lot more flipping than actually using them.
Excellent vid. Liked the knife, would like it better with D2 and not a fan of the back spacer.
SpeedSafe? Doesn't it run on KVT bearings?
Looks very similar to the profile of my ZT 0770CF!
Update: i still occasionally EDC this Natrix for beater tasks. It has a thin handle with no liners like the Shuffle 2, but it's ergonomic for me. My blade is off center, touches the inside handle. One of the pocket clip screws is too long, so the clip wobbles, I'll file it down eventually. The blade shape is amazing & for 8cr13mov it's very sharp. I use it to open Absorb-all bags so it gets dirty, but I clean & oil it. It's good. It's one of my favorites.
GT Jr. making an unofficial debut! Cuteness!
Dude you were upstaged by GT Jr.! :-)
i've carried a Kershaw Twitch 2 as my primary pocket knife for about 8 years now . great knife even if it's a little heavy .
this is a good looking knife and inexpensive too . i like it .
i just bought a Spyderco Resilience ( 5.04 oz ) . had the Tenacious ( 4.06 oz ) . i like both but the resilience i like better .
Thanks for another really good review, Aaron.
Love the blade design. Modified sheepsfoot with a more effective pointy tip.
InstaBlaster...
I finally bought an Esee 6 and I love it
Very Stylish, and we lefties can use it! Great Video.
Sandvik 14C28N would make this awesome!
After several years using Chinese steel, how much more would it cost to upgrade to AUS 10 or another easy to maintain steel?
As a budget friendly knife, Kershaw Natrix (same model in this video) or the Kershaw Dividend Aluminum???
Great video looks awesome! Would you please check out the Real Steel H5 Gerfalcon? I have been carrying the H5 for a few weeks and really like it's capabilities. Thanks
Awesome link below...great background...knife in vid still...subpar in the knife market world.....review a bit oversold...but hey you don't always catch fish when you throw out the net.
Great video, still like the ESEE line better. Love your channel. How would I get a patch from you? Thanks and keep up the great work
Rusty Bosley out of stock right now, hope to have more in early next year.
gideonstactical awesome thanks
That's a swift blade right there.
Off topic of this video, I've been looking at the Wolf pAX 2 by Tops Knives recently, and in your review you seemed to really like it a lot. Do you still use it often? (If you still own it).
Would you think about doing a review on the kershaw induction? I'd love to hear your thoughts on the hawk lock and action. Thank you.
Hey Aaron, quick question? How long are your hyper-limks available? Resean I ask is kets say I watch this video, which is Awesome by the way. And then next month I remember watching it and say oh ya I can go to G. T. and use the link to buy the 40.00 knife is it available then to. Hopefully this makes sense. Thank you
Hey G.T. I purchased this knife as soon as i finished watching yur review several months ago. I just cant seem to sharpen it well. Any tips u could give me.
Kershaw and these other makers need to step up when it comes to steel, 8cr, aus8, 420hc is no excuse anymore. Look at the RAT1 with D2 steel, still inexpensive but miles better in terms of edge retention.
ThisIsAPrettyLongUserNameWhyTheFuckWouldHeDoThatSoThatEveryoneWouldThumbsUpIt I agree but kershaw is so good with those steel's. but their getting old. and d2 and stuff can drop in price cause of the newer steel's. and they can use that
ThisIsAPrettyLongUserNameWhyTheFuckWouldHeDoThatSoThatEveryoneWouldThumbsUpIt true!
Nice knife, does it strike Ferro rod?
Nay Triks = not Matrix...which shows Kershaw has a sense of humor, if not a bit vindictive.
8Cr13MoV steel is the reason I won't buy any more budget Kershaw knives. That steel will hold an edge for about half a week. I love to sharpen, but I think a blade should keep an edge long enough to make it at least a few weeks if it's going to be practical for EDC.
David Schiedler I do agree I want better steel now too
Strop it, it'll last weeks or months if you strop it daily/every time you use it
Depends on what you use it for. I cut very little rhinoceros hide, but a lot of bananas.
Can you install the Link S35VN blade into the Natrix handle?
The blade material is getting a bit marginal, especially when alternatives are considered. Still, this is better than the 3Cr Kershaw sells through Walmart.
How do you like it compared to the dividend?
Stephen barone performance is similar
great review, i like that steel
I try one.its 👍 good .its 😎
Great vid Aaron, what kind of washers? Thx
88chevyiroc bronze
Dude! Sweet!
The grind on mine looked like it was done by a blind man. Other than that, it's a neat knife for a great price. I do wish Kershaw would move away from 8cr13mov.
Yea i have a grind issue on my Link. The edge is fine until the last 1/4" at the tip. It turns into a chisel grind where it's almost entirely on one side and looks like this... /|
I would rather say 'Wow, nice knife' every time I pull my knife out, than not have to sharpen it every few days. Like the 0770 that i own, it's a looker.
Steel Will CutJack, Ontario Rat 1 D2. Nuff said.
What ZT model is this knife based on?
ZT0777
It's not pronounced nat-ricks it's pronounced nay-trix or nay-tricks lol thank you for the good laugh though. I love your vids you always come off very humble I don't like watching vids with knife snob reviewers. Thank you for all your content!
i thought you were going to show the baby opening it
Kershaw skyline. Sandvik steel, g10 handles 45 dollars
Very nice like it bro
$35 for 8Cr13 is a joke. $35 for AUS-8 is pushing it. If this were in the $15-$20 range, it might be slightly competitive, but when companies like Ganzo put out 440C for $17-$25, it's really hard to beat that. At the $40 range, it can't compare to Chinese titanium handled knives with bearings, either the legit ones like TwoSun and CH or even the Chris Reeve and Spyderco PM2 counterfeits. It sucks that they're counterfeits but you just can't beat full titanium handles on a PM2 clone with a titanium liner, and 9Cr18MoV on captured bearings for $38. $38! If you want $200 of style for $40, then don't get the Natrix. You're not fooling anybody with that. In fact, you're not fooling anybody with any $40 knife by an American company.
I try one .its different.ok .not my better knives .different blade. Profile.its fun to play with.41$ not junk .its g10 stuff.nice .better steel wood help.
Um... "NAY-trix" maybe?
The link is better ??ho you think .there fine .beef it up.
Kershaw needs to start making 180$+ knives and not 35$ shit
That's what they have ZT for. Kershaw is the budget line. Get a ZT if you want something better.
I believe you pronounced Natrix wrong. The knife looks nice but is a miss for me. Thanks-
Trix are for kids
Rush dicks are for chicks
Rush. "And is this enforced by law?"
thanks #gideonstactical just ordered one off EBay for 36 bucks..8cr13mov is good by #Kershaw . I have a couple of others from Kershaw with the same steel & their great for my tasks..i like the tip up, reversible pocket clip on this Natrix.
At 4.7 OZ.
Not the best edc.
He said it's 2.9 Oz and Kershaw confirms - at least for the CF version (which I believe is mostly cosmetic, though I do like it myself)
Speed safe on a knife that would be $200? Nope. I wish they'd just ditch the speed safe
I like speedsafe, so I'm not sure why people complain about it, but it has its own feel. Having said that, I have the CF version of this exact knife and it is NOT speedsafe. It is not assisted. It just has a positive detent and smooth deployment, so I guess you could make that mistake if you're not being critical.
Matrix. Sub out the M for the N. Natrix, like the movie...
Kershaw - your killing us with the cheap Chinese alphabet steel. Great designs, cheap material. Ide buy more kershaw knives if they would just get over the love affair they have with 8cr13mov....just saying kershaw
Sorry, but this guy seems to only make positive ads for knives because he was given them to "review" for free and he wants that to continue. There are glaring negatives about some of these knives that he never touches on. Why? Because it's an ad for the company. NOT a true review.
Looks like shit with shitty steel, but because you Aaron like it, I will look one over at the store and check how it feels.
Good review but I'm done with all that "speed safe " bullshit since my last Kershaw opened in my pocket and stabbed me.
Sblaze813 oh man sorry to hear that
Sblaze813 ya but this is not a speed safe knife.
It’s a ball-bearing open knife.
The belt clip design sucks.
The knife looks good otherwise.
Bro your butchering that name!!!!!!!!
