  • Instead of watching me do my makeup, want to watch me report ultrasound?
    In this new series, I'll take you through the process of reporting gynecology ultrasound with the latest and most evidence-based approach and terminology.
    Check out this SECOND video to see what gynecologic pathologies we'll find first! Spoiler alert - we're looking at adenomyosis and an abnormal ovarian cyst.
    Comment below with questions or requests for particular pathologies!

    As a sonographer in Ontario, I have 'had" to watch a lot of hours of ultrasound education material. But this series is top tier and vastly more helpful and practically helpful than most of the lectures I have seen Looking forward to further episodes to help with truly "continuing education". PS - It warms my heart to hear how respectfully you speak about your sonographer(s)!

    Another great session! Thanks a lot Dr Leonardi. I am following you on Instagram and UA-cam after the course, which I attended online at the beginning of December. All materials are super helpful and educational. Many thanks. Valentina

      I will try to do more of a summary at the end verbally rather than posting the report in future videos!

    This is so exciting to see adenomyosis being talked about. Also, am so happy to be allowed to work on public education in this area (and menopause!) at my library in Regina.

      It is honestly one of the most common diseases! We have been ignorant to its presence for way tooooooo long. Things are about to change

    Thanks a lot Dr. Mather; regarding this case patient underwent paratubal cystectomy or the adnexa was removed and before that was the complain same as abnormal bleeding only or another symptoms were associated with it; another thing as it was borderline every how long you will follow the patient ?

    I am not clear how you make the extension between this being an ovarian cyst or a paratubal cyst

    • @MathewLeonardiMDPhD
      @MathewLeonardiMDPhD  6 місяців тому

      Few ways: 1) Paratubal cysts are usually very thin-walled, 2) Paratubal cysts are almost always anechoic, 3) Paratubal cysts move distinctly from the ovary with pressure from the probe or hand
