  • After suffering with period pain for years, Tanya was told at one scan that she had endometriosis and then was later diagnosed with adenomyosis as well.
    “My period had always been painful” she says. “When I am laying on the bathroom floor crying, it’s not ‘just a period"
    Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb starts to grow in other places, and also bleeds every month.
    Adenomyosis is when the lining of the womb grows into the muscle wall, which can cause heavy, painful and/or irregular periods.

    I 'just' have endometriosis, and feel so sad hearing her story. As women we go through so much :-( She's amazing for sharing her story for others.

    This IS me 😳. I had bilateral pulmonary embolism. Not to many people survive that. But, because of it, just like her I couldn’t take hormones with estrogen and progesterone only pills almost stroked me out. Wow, it’s just crazy to hear someone with my story too.
