Purchased from Plugin Boutique - I'm amazed that I haven't heard Dan's voice on some major TV commercials... it's just a matter of time I'm sure. He has the most musical voice I've ever heard!! Oh - and their new synth is really slick!!

So, I saw a review on TimeShaper, and when I went to buy it there was a bundle deal that was just too good to pass up for the "Shaperbox" bundle.
I had no idea that all of the plugins could work together the way that they do. I'm kind of blown away.
This is really going to change the way I perform electronic music.

Theres been a few plugins like over the years this but until this, none that I know of that are (1) available for mac (2) have variable loop length (3) allow curves to be drawn (4) have VST and AU version. Looks like this has everything on my buffer shuffler VST plugin wish list and then some!

By the way, it’s phaser effect is the best phaser ever so far in my opinion. And even though infiltrator has a few more tricks up it’s sleeve, Sh bx still beats it.
And yes, shaper box beats filter verse , it’s way easier to figure out. But all three brands have something different and are the cutting edge.

I just bought this and half time and the way this vst is set up (IN THE SHAPERBOX) really got me in a bunch. I hate that set up as opposed to to just clicking and bringing it up. And all of the scrolling instructions need to go to. Other than that, its a good product and really fun to play with. TBH if i want to buy another shaper, I have the website bookmarked so that add another shaper bar is what really got me because I couldn't tell if i was demo-ing what i bought or what. One more complaint is that the presets have presets of all the shapers indent what you bought. Maybe its for demo-ing purposes but that's my goose cooked too....... PS after watching the video, I think i can live with it because I will be buying more shapers starting this weekend. Thanks for an awesome product and I apologize for jumping the gun.

realy fantastic, this is not a technical made pluginn what can shape, it is disigned by some one who know music.
the way you controle things is so easy that you can do it on the fly. first you get Filters(Moog) then you get inteligent Filters (Omnisphere, Falcon ens) and now you can shape intuitief without getting all the parameters right.
take any Synth and the bundel of Cableguys and you have the coolest Synth there is.
So Guy's again this is not a technical thing, this is musical art, even the Gui is a beauty

Does it work in a similar way as gross beat? Is it better? Is it worse?
What song was used at the beginning?
Here in 2020 the plugin doesn't work as shown in the video .......... at 1:02 he hovers over the graph and we see a short horizontal line above the mouse pointer, i don't see that in ShaperBox, and i can see no way to draw in steps like Dan does .......... any ideas?
Don't click the line, click under it to place the circle and move your mouse in a circular motion like a clock hand to choose the angle the straight point and width (you'll see the area highlighted as you make the selection).
out of curiosity will some of your plugs in shaper box get a up date to add attack and release knobs. or a smoothing feeature. the volume shaper really could use it. it might be automatic but having manual control over this might help if you start getting clicks. that or simply zero cross detection
I'm sure the new shaper box has a 'smooth lfo' feature, or something like it.
how do i make a simple tapestop?
Have a look at the "Tape" section of wave buttons - there you find waves for tapestop.
If you want to create your own: Audio stops when the wave line is drawn parallel to the diagonal line in the background.
I'm experiencing latency problems on ableton live when I try to halftime loops. What's the right way to do it on the latest version?
The song position info that Ableton provides to plugins is wrong, when plugins with latency are before the tempo-synced plugin. All tempo-synced plugins suffer from this (such as ShaperBox, LFO Tool, Gatekeeper, etc). Luckily, you can use MIDI or Audio triggers to sync to your song in ShaperBox, and it's all in perfect timing then - so at least Ableton gets that right. If that doesn't fix it, then please mail us on contact@cableguys.com with details, and our tech support team will follow up with you 👍
Can this be used for tape stop effect?

Is there a demo for TimeShaper only with no talking?

The current version, ShaperBox 2, is resizable and Retina-ready! Open the Main Menu ("three lines" icon) and select your Scaling amount, from 75% to 200% 👍

What’s the difference between this and gross beat?
Differences include multiband in TimeShaper (apply different time curves to bass/mids/treble!), Pens for easy waveform editing, runs inside ShaperBox (combine with other Shapers to manipulate Volume, Pan, Filter, Crush, Width), online preset library (we add new presets regularly - just hit Sync to download), adjustable buffer length (not fixed at 2 bars), Fine Mode for vinyl/tape and chorus/flange FX. Demo doesn't work in Cubase 9. Shaperbox VST get blacklisted. Anyone else have this issue?
Yes, this happens with old versions of OS X. They're even blacklisting plugins from us and other companies that are running without issues for years. We recommend that you simply whitelist ShaperBox. But we're also working on that, so that it won't be blacklisted any more with the next update.
