You need to get some tire plugs and small air compressor like a 12 volt one and plug those yourself just in case your way out and it's 4 tires and it's easier than changing a tire. You might also want to take your vehicle to a mechanic and have them do an inspection and take care of any preventive maintenance so you don't get stuck in the outback with not enough water. A proper inspection would have caught that belt idler before it broke and left you stranded. Safety first! We want you to stay happy and healthy.

If you have tubeless tires you can get a tire repair kit at the auto parts store to plug those holes. Then inflate the tires with a small compressor and you are good to go. Good luck!

Krissy , you need a tire repair kit.
You could have repaired that tire on the truck without removing it.
You push a rubber plug into the hole once the screw is removed with a little tire patch glue on it and cut off the excess plug and pump it up and your good to go.

Never change a tire with your feet under the vehicle. If the frame falls off the jack, well, you take it from there. Also carry a longer wood block band place it under the frame so if the jack dislodges the axle wont break. From 20 years working in my dads garage.

Hi Krissy, well done with the mechanical problems. How pleasing it was to see you handle the situations. It is a dreadful feeling when things go wrong. I have seen men go to jelly when confronted with problems. They just go into a panic and most times they don't have the ability or tools and spares needed to fix the confronting task. Yes, I say to myself coupled with rude words looks like I'm in a bit of trouble then set about working out how to correct problems. On an occasion a person I was travelling with had a bearing problem. It got to the stage of seating the bearing and behold he did not have anything to do the job. I said to him I might have something to do the job went to my Ute got a item that I had found in one of my late Mothers kitchen draws. It fitted the task perfectly and the job completed. On putting tools away I picked up Mum's device and he said to me scathingly "why would you carry something like that around making extra weight"? Some Mother's do have them I said to myself. That trip was a nightmare. Regards Johnno.

Hi Krissy, love watching your videos. I've never commented before, but watching you change the tyre really scared me. Please, never trust a jack, especially when it is on a narrow metal surface. If the jack had slipped you might have been severely injured. Please play it safe & put a solid object such as blocks of wood or a jack stand under the vehicle next time.

krissy , carry a tire plug kit of good quality at all times.
I have fixed huge side wall tears that I thought where terminal on large graders and backhoes to get back to town. and a simple screw puncture, its easy with them.
of cause you need to carry a 12 volt compressor as well.
but a smart cookie like you would have a quality one of those I am sure.
I carry 3 of them on my boat, with a air tank, for spray painting.
it is amazing how powerful they are nowadays 150 to 250 liter per minute is common.
mine pump out 200 liter per minute each ,so plenty for spraying paint.
I would not go where you go, with out, 2 high quality tire plug kits.
thanks for all the great episodes. and more,.... its goooold please,.... I love that .

It is a good thing when you have a service done on the car which includes checking belts etc to actually check your belts physically. That is to be able to turn them over with your fingers and check to see if they are serviceable ie no cracks etc. This happened to me this year and it's a terrible feeling being in the bush and chasing up a belt that I did not have onboard. As you can gather Krissy, I have learned my lesson and will not leave home without doing a thorough inspection of persons (you pay to do the job properly work).
How I notice this problem is we were traveling to the prospecting site every day which was 40ks away and I checked every morning before leaving Liquids oils and belts. Unfortunately one day I picked up a little bit of a tear on the side of the fan belt and so I monitored it for a few weeks watching to see if it got worse. ( it did not). However, I investigated it one day as it seemed to have got slightly worse. So I thought I would have a closer look and I took the belt off. I did not have to go far to see the belt was not new and had not been inspected at all and I was feeling quite vulnerable when I then realized I did not have the spare onboard so had to look for a new belt. I was lucky as a Pastoral Lease Farmer came to my rescue. So I still have lots of learning to do because it's nice to be looking for gold but not knowing really the service condition of your car and caravan as well is another matter. Luckily, I do all the servicing on our caravan.
BTW we love your channel and hope we meet one day out there.

Awesome, those slow flat tyres you need a 12volt compressor and then the guy's at the tyre shop will take them of for you or you can also buy plugs and tools in a kit, ahhh power, always a problem or expense, I have a generator that I am about to fit new brushes to, the spare parts took over a month to get to me, what a hassle. I fitted the new water pump to my car this morning and went for a drive, no leaks, yeehaa, now I have no excuses not to go sleushing this coming week, let you know what I get, lots of bearings in a pulley but just imagine that if I can fix a car so can you. Have a good week.

Might I suggest you carry with you cans of flat tire repair. The cans are under pressure, and when injected through the tire valve stem, they inject air as well as a sealing compound. So not only does it fill the tire (tyre) with air, it will also seal the leak until you can get it fixed. It may also be to your advantage to have an electronic air pump that runs off your car electrical system.
The air cond may be low on refrigerant, you can usually find a refill kit at an auto supply store.

You could sell shares to your fan base for buying a gold lease.
This way you could buy some good ground to mine. It seems this is the best way to get gold producing ground.
For example you sell one share for $100 Australian dollars and then you sell 500 shares it would total $50,000 Australian dollars you have approximately 190,000 followers so that's only .04 percent needed to buy you and your fans a decent lease. I'm never wrong about these matters and I'm also good at giving you the best advise. Now it's up to you to pull this off. Cheers Gene

But very sorry about your bad luck :( I am glad that you did have 2 spare tires though.. you should get a special plug patch.. they are a type of plug you can work into a screw or nail puncture so that you can put air into your tire... would come in handy if you ever had more than 2 tire punctures.

You can easily repair a tire puncture on the vehicle, the kits are inexpensive, with a 12 voltage air compressor you'll be back on the road in a few minutes.

I would appear the Budgeting money is also very important because there seems to be huge outgoings and not a lot of nuggets.
