Nice! You even addressed the episode order regarding the new Centurions here! You integrate the clips flawlessly where appropriate. In all your videos! You either have an incredible memory or a heck of a note-taking system. That's how I figued you might be the one to ask!
Dang dude this was an awesome part two. Thanks for the heads up. I still think a revival and redesign of these would be great. Even a video game would be something. Have you ever covered the A-Team toys? I wish they would do another version of that in 6”.
I remember this show. It was one the first things Cartoon Network aired when it started up. Plus I had old cassette tapes with 5 episodes each on them.
Great video Michael, the cancelled wave of Centurions figures has always been of interest to me like many toylines that have figures, vehicles or playsets dropped for numerous reasons. However, one piece of Centurions trivia that not many people are aware of is that there seems to have been a planned sixth member of the team, possibly for inclusion in the 1987 wave and was going to be relative of Ace McCloud's named Vic McCould and his speciality was supposedly going to be space related. He was listed as "Under Consideration" so he might not of made it. Interestingly, the release sheet with shows Vic McCloud also shows both Rex and John, though Rex has an early name of Rex Powers and John's Assault Weapon Thunder Knife had the unused name of 'Slash Bash'. Vic also had two proposed Assault Weapon Systems designed for him but they both didn't have a name. We know that Rex and John had plenty of prototypes produced of them, but I wonder if Vic had anything developed of him.
Hi Micheal, great video about The Powerful & Extremely Non-Existent History of The Centurions Unproduced Toys,Keep them coming, Also your latest video was magnificent, Awesome! You even addressed the episode order regarding the new Centurions here! You successfully integrate the clips flawlessly where appropriate. In all your videos You either have an incredible memory or a heck of a note talking system. That's how I figured you might be the one to ask! Also the New Centurions Rex Charger and John Thunder are two of my favorite Centurions of all time, Also "Rex Charger and "John Thunder" are pretty much the greatest character names of all time.🙂 Also I thank Ramen Toys for bringing me into the fold with their excellent versions. Aw man, what 2 fantastic but incredible videos, All I can say is thank you so much, I am too so bummed that all of these toys are so hard and so expensive to get now and also mostly broken and B, that they never released the ones from this lot, or at least many of them. Thank goodness for 3p offerings, long may they continue for what I really think was one of the hidden gems of the 1980's, Also the Centurions is one of my favorite Cartoon Shows of all time, I not only like but I also love the Cartoon as well, also incredible mention of the Centurions Wiki, Also as of 2023 I still not only like but love Big Lob(movie characters) from G.I. Joe the Movie.Lob is one of my favorite G.I. Joe Characters of all time, Also it would be great to hear more on Obscure Characters later this year. Awesome Micheal You did another video on Centurions this past Saturday. Power Xtreme, which is grossly underrated and underappreciated! They came out as back cover illustration at the back of the MASK Comic book! Keep going bro, maybe you can merge video with Rodimus Primal and MMPR Toy store they love something Challenging! Also I love the quality of all your videos,Also I still remember the cartoon from what it aired originally and I remember those characters when they were shown on those episodes aired too. Also the following information is from the Centurions Wiki they are: Rex Charger who is a member of The Centurions and serves as the team's alternative energy specialist. Also Gender:(as of 2023):Male,Race:(as of 2023):Human,Faction:(as of 2023):The Centurions, Status:(as of 2023):alive,1st appearance/episode: Chronologically Man Or Machine(Part 2),Voiced by: Bob Ridgeley, Assault Weapons Systems: 1.Electro-Charger, 2.Gatling Guard, & 2. John Thunder, John Thunder or should I say John is a member of The Centurions, and serves as the team's covert operations specialist. He's a stealth and espionage expert who uses his skills to silently infiltrate enemy territory. John is also a Native American specifically a full- blooded Chiracahua Apache, and a direct descendant of Geronimo. In addition to his two weapons systems. John Thunder utilizes Non- Cybernetic Weapons: A Vibro-Knife used in self defense. & 2. A part of electromagnetic gloves used to climb walls and ceilings to observe or evade while infiltrating. Gender:(as of 2023):Male,Race:(as of 2023):Human,Faction:(as of 2023): The Centurions, Status:(as of 2023): Alive, 1st Appearance/Episode: Chronologically: Man Or Machine(Part 1),Voiced by Michael Bell, Assault Weapons Systems: 1.Silent Arrow,2. Thunder Knife, Also thanks for sharing Micheal even though you're Asleep all I can say is: keep up the good work stay safe out there in Canada have a good day, Power X-treme and Nerdmaste.🙂💪🟢🇺🇲🇨🇦🌎🏋️🦸🟢🤓 1:34 am.
Aawwww cool video, the picture of rex and John together with the ace McCloud box behind is my picture. It was taken at my mum's house,.I uploaded the pics on WordPress many years ago. Lol
Makes me want to 3D print those but I’ll need to get a Centurions figure first. Loved loved loved this show and I think I can design them and print them.
Wow, Michael!!! You did another video on Centurions: Power Xtreme, which is grossly underrated and underappreciated!!! They came out as back cover illustration at the back of the MASK comic book!!! Keep going, bro, maybe you can merge video with Rodimus Primal and MMPR Toystore, they love something challenging!!
Wow no one ever mentions Big-Lob from G.I.Joe.Alphatrion I have him but he transforms to a lion. All those 3 characters would've been really neat yes i agree.
This was like the Doctor Strangelove of my Saturday morning cartoons. Everyone riding nuclear bombs in the name of protecting the world from bad guys. Nukes……everywhere……nuke!!!!
Good one, Michael. I totally forgot about these guys, even though these toys were tops for me back in the day. Here’s hoping Hasbro does a remake. Till then, we have you.
Okay so, continuing the "Centurions being based on celebrity likeness". I'm pretty sure Rex Charger's likeness is taken from Chuck Norris. he has the hair, the beard, and the nose. As to what movie to be specific, dunno. As for John Thunder, I'm equally clueless, based on the time frame. If anyone could help, I'd be grateful. All in all, cool vid!
Aww man, what 2 fantastic videos, thank you so much. I am so bummed that a, all of these toys are so hard and so expensive to get now and also mostly broken and B, that they never released the ones from this lot, or at least many of them. Thank goodness for 3p offerings, long may they continue for what I think was one of the true hidden gems of the 80s.
OMG , I didn't know about these unproduced toys, this would be another chapter in the Centurions Michael, this is or could of been incredible, Nerdmaste Michael, stay safe 🙏😀
I absolutely loved the Centurions! Such a shame it was taken from us so quickly but then again, us 80's children were truely spoilt when it came to cartoons and toys.
❤🎉😅I'm currently watching 👀 Centurions series online all 65 episodes As of now I just finished 🎉watching episodes "To Dare Dominion " Part 1 and 2 when I got notified that you uploaded this video 📹 😀 ❤🎉🎉Good 👍 Job and thanks 😊 for the latest 👍 👏 information 👍 🎉❤on Centurions 🎉Power 🔋 Extreme 🎉❤
Some of my most loved action figures. Wish I had them all!! Also, can’t believe we didn’t get years of the toy lines and the cartoon, such a missed opportunity. Toys in the 80s are unparalleled. Also, love your content MM, it would be a dream to visit your toy museum. One day! (All the way from Australia). The toys are really artefacts that deserve preservation by an institution like a museum, truly.
I honestly think if the villains in the first series of the toy line weren't so lame, the Centurions would have succeeded. With the exception of the jet drone, they were very ugly unappealing toys. Those second wave ones, however, were better.
I would have loved to have seen Rex Charger eventually turn heel. It would make sense Villain wise because Hacker was pretty useless. Dr Terror is fine but repetitive.
The rex guy seems like a direct rip off of iron man. I wonder if the centurions were originally going to be a "iron man squad" and marvel turned it down. Or maybe marvel pitched the idea and kenner "borrowed" it. Love the channel.
The centurions ost music was awesome, so was the animation. It was one of my favorite 80s cartoons, along with MASK and ,bionic six .
Thunder's look seems like it served as the inspiration for Rourke' Ivan Whiplash in the first part of Iron Man 2.
Streets of Rage for the Outro? Now THAT'S nostalgia!
Such a great video about a piece of unfinished 80’s toy history!
That was one of my favorite cartoon series. I was watching it on Cartoon Network in the '90.
So cool! Thank you for another awesome video! I hope you have a relaxing Sunday! Nerdmaste! 🙏😊
Thanks! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
I wish Centurions got a reboot
Me too. I wonder what that would look like updated with all the tech we have now. The suits could get some minor tweaks. It was a fun show
I don't, going off what they've done to every other thing I loved as a kid it'd be a woke box ticking mess.
I agree 100%. CGI would be quite helpful in re-creating the series.
@raypaz2947 When you look back at it now they actually had predicted a lot of present day tech. Sky Vault the exception haha
I honestly think my cousin had the blue air one. Our grandfather owned a toy factory so he could have gotten a hold of one?
Rex Charger was my favourite Centurion, but unfortunately the one who seemed to get the least screen time.
So cool. I wish get The Centurions.
Nice! You even addressed the episode order regarding the new Centurions here! You integrate the clips flawlessly where appropriate. In all your videos! You either have an incredible memory or a heck of a note-taking system. That's how I figued you might be the one to ask!
Thanks! A bit of both. 😉
They have to reboot the series and toys, and include these extra toys to the line as well.
Another great video that takes you back power extrememememememememem
Thanks!
Very interesting video 👍👍
I Remember watching the centurlons as a kid

Cool Toys!!

Thank you for sharing your pics! It was great to get a closer look at those.
I do own the rex and John in that picture.. I had some other pictures of test shots on WordPress. Keep making the cool videos
Also fun fact of you look closer at the boxed rex charger his left arm has fallen off.
I only saw 1 bootleg episode in betamax. Their weapons design was above average cartoon. Davao City 1987
Thank you for sharing 👌😀😍
🙏
Great video I popped for the jim Cornette line
Thanks. Jimbo is right. That's why toys in the mail are so over. 😉
My older brother loved that cartoon an the fuguers
Makes me want to 3D print those but I’ll need to get a Centurions figure first. Loved loved loved this show and I think I can design them and print them.
I loved this show much as a kid. Absolutely gutted for the things we never got
Wow, Michael!!! You did another video on Centurions: Power Xtreme, which is grossly underrated and underappreciated!!! They came out as back cover illustration at the back of the MASK comic book!!! Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Cheers!
This was the only show where they actually killed the bad guys!
Ok that Cybervore Shark would have been awesome! This wave was amazing...or would've been. What a tragedy! 😮
Any shark toy for that matter. Like the Landshark, or even better; Singing Landshark. 🎵
Another great job
Thank you.
Wonder who owns the rights to the Centurions now. Maybe they could get brought back...
...this was great work!
Thank you kindly!
Wow no one ever mentions Big-Lob from G.I.Joe.Alphatrion I have him but he transforms to a lion. All those 3 characters would've been really neat yes i agree.
Loved Big Lob (movie characters) from Gi joe the movie. Be great to hear more on obscure characters.
Mike!!! It was great 👍 to see you again!!! New video etc..
Thanks! Have a nice weekend.
A Jim Cornette reference in a non wrestling video is always cool.
Well wouldn't you know who won the pony...
I had Jake Rockwell ❤❤❤ just only because they didn’t have the other two I really wanted😂❤🎉
Was there some Streets of Rage soundtrack going on in these two videos? Nice touch.
THANK YOU for this and all your content 🤩
Thanks, glad you enjoyed.
Cool toys collection 😊
Thank you kindly.
@@MichaelMercy you're welcome

Same.
Wow! These would have been awesome!
Thanks for making this, I had no idea this stuff was going to be made!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed.
“Rex Charger” and “John Thunder” are pretty much the greatest character names of all time. 😁
💯😁
When my ultra religious uncle saw them I told him "They are holy figures" get it holy "P
I had Centurions when I was a kid. I would have loved all of these figures and weapon systems.
If you haven't can you do an episode on captain power and the soldiers of the future
Some day hopefully.

Do you know where I can find the complete dvd series for this? I really want to show my son this show. Never had the toys but loved the show so much
Have you tried looking on Amazon?
@@MichaelMercy I have not, I know some old cartoons haven’t been made on to dvd but since you mentioned in the video figured I ask. Will check it out
Neat.
