"The other store..." 🤣 🤣 So if I am understanding the information I've learned correctly, T.O.G. is "technically" not part of he Origins line. It is its own toyline, but a mash-up/crossover line with Masters of the Universe. Similar to (though much more awesome and interesting, in my opinion) the Masters of the WWE Universe crossover line. That said, the "Cartoon Collection" is in fact part of the Origins line. It's a refresh of the Origins line sold at retail. It seems as if standard Origins/Cartoon Collection have become the spiritual successors to Classics/Club Grayskull, as the Club Grayskull figures were a part of the Classics line, while also Filmation specific with a refresh in packaging. 😊
I would call ToG & CC sublines of Origins. ToG is closer to Origins than even CC as they use parts closer to original Origins figures (legs, arms, torso, more squatty pose etc) and they all largely are swappable with each other. ToG Beastman is pretty much standard Origins Beastman with armour.
@sinlatenightsins9657 Cartoon Collection is definitely a subline or perhaps a better word is a refresh of the already existing Origins line. I think the key word is "Origins" to determine which is what. Origins encompasses the origins of MOTU from the 80s, whether that be the 80s toys or the 80s animated series. I totally hear you about Beast Man's identical sculpt, because I thought the same thing. In fact, I bought an extra TOG Beast Man to wear the yellow armor from Moss Man like I would do as a kid with my vintage Beast Man. 😆 Though I still believe TOG is still considered its own crossover toyline like MOTU/WWE figures were, though both lines had identical and swappable parts with Origins. I also believe the technicality is derived from the skus and number of figures per wave, as each toyline averages 4 new figures per wave in standard size packaging. Where I live, I have 4 Walmarts within a 20-mile radius of me. 3 of those stores are pretty well stocked with all the latest waves of Masterverse, Origins (Cartoon Collection), and TOG. If TOG were considered a part of the Origins line, that would be 8 characters of the same toyline currently on display right now, and I don't think Walmart would give that much real estate to the same toyline on their pegs. 🤣🤣 I believe the reason we are able to see this is because of the technicality that one is considered a subline of Origins and the other is not. 😊
I'm not the biggest fan of the character Slash, but I do love this figure. He's so big & bright coloured & those teeth are gnarly. So good.

Yes! That's what I was thinking too. The fact they they are all compatible with each other's parts is super cool.
