Awesome. Drove a 68 to high school, can’t see the front end on yours but I saw the cab and know it’s not a 67. Fun to try to figure it out while getting a lesson on one of the coolest grooves ever put on television!!
Wow, that gave me shivers! That's got to be the most deep-seeded harmonica song in my brain! By the way, I think you mentioned it in passing early on when you were discussing people's preconceived notions of harmonica. Great stuff as always!
I play harmonica too and you sound amazing!!!👍😊I love Sanford and son song so much and I also love the Walton’s tune as well and I have been playing it a lot lately, reminds me of childhood memories good to see your passion for it as well my good friend!🤠🎵
I post a Friday "blues" song on my FB every Friday. I heard this song on my satellite radio blues channel. I took time from work to hit the computer and look you up Adam. Fantastic job, and it made me think of my father in law (rip) He had an auto salvage yard (junk yard). Thanks for up loading this! You have a new fan.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, ADAM!!! Thank you once again for being a world-class mentor. You have literally changed my life and my entire direction as a musician. I have bounced from style to style and countless different mechanisms of musical expression, but finally, thanks to your influence, I have finally found my niche. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Nicely done. I'll definitely be adding this to my repertoire. My personal favorite tv show theme: Rockford Files... some nice harmonica riffs in there, too.
Adam your simply amazing, your approach to teaching is the easiest I have found to follow, Thank you for helping me be a better Harp player, I used this song you covered in my wedding, I used the Quincy Jones version when I entered the church and your version when my wife and I left the church. It was a perfect song for me because I have been told my Yard reminds them of Sanford and Son
Love the vids, being a 45 yr old beginning harp player I am learning as I watch. This time as I tried to play along and I finally got the warble to sound decent (did no justice to the rest of the song). Keep puttin them up here and I will keep learning. Thanks
That was awesome! Thanks for posting. I've grabbed by harmonica, but I think that I should wait until the morning since it's likely that I'll wake my family.
Aside from getting the 1/2 steps and whole steps cleanly in tune, I'm also now working on trying to capture that sweet vibrato tone you get on the 1 draw (@6:06). Thanks as always for inspiring me to tend to my too-often neglected stepchild (that is, blues harmonica).
adam how do you play blues freestyling with no music i can't seem to do it i have the feel and the passion for the harmonica but can't play without a beat since i learned by ear also i want to have an awesome sound but still sound unique and original without copying anybody elses licks any advice for that watch my vids and let me know if my styles my own and if it's possible to build off of it and progress..
Correct me if I'm wrong, Adam, but I think you mentioned Sanford and Son in one of your raw beginners videos. Regardless, keep harpin' it up for all of us UA-camrs.
Hello, i cant read This video on my iPhone. A new option in you tube : when you send your video on you tube, There is a option: " autorise people to read This video on an mobil phones." tanks!
First of I love ur lessons man! I've actually went ahead a bought a few them as well. But you asked us what song we think is the most known harmonica song... I don't know for the US but here in Belgium or even in Europe itself, I think it would have to be either "Bluesette" or "ne me quitte pas" by my countryman Toots Thielemans. If chromatic harmonica counts ;-)
@ArtofDreaming1: I did a bit of that in the first year of this series, back in 2007. UA-cam search: gussow harmonica c c rider, for example.....also: gussow harmonica groovy people
well Kudzu it was nice but my brain only holds certain parts of the song and just probably the opening. thanks Kudzu I wish I was your neighbor and learn more from ya.
