Serena really should have won the French in 2012… she had an impressive clay court lead up the tournament, then to lose in the 1st round. I really wonder what happened b4 that match cause she had played perfectly up to that match.
Most of Serena's prep was on green/blue clay before the French Open. I think she thought it was enough and then got nervous when she got on the red clay.
That would be believable if there weren’t the few girls who moved better than Serena on the surface. Muguruza and Henin were the two who out played Serena on the clay. I can’t think of anyone who she had a lopsided head to head on the surface. The other loss on clay were random. But I agree she should have been more successful
She should 2004 robbed by Henin cheating 2010 lost to Stosur in qauters, 2009 lost to kuznestova in the quarterfinals 2016 lost to Murguruza, 2012 had a great clay lead up and lost in the first sound in total she should have 8 Roland Garros titles
@@Official.tadiwa Let's not downplay the greatness of these other players. Serena just didn't fight hard for RG like she did for other Grand Slams. She got 2 GS titles when Patrick came onboard and hit 1 final. All within 3-4 years so imagine what she would've achieved if she fought hard for it. I honestly believe she wasn't a fan of RG but she loves Paris

That loss was a wake up call for Queen , she dominated the remaining big titles of that year
There was a bunch of controversy over her opponent, in that first round, doing something to the balls, I believe.
@@DenzellDior No, that was in 2013.

Our GOAT had her chances to take over sole ownership, unfortunately it did not happen. Still THE GOAT. I just wanted Court off the books.
Serena literally should be atleast a 5 time RG champion! 3 doesn’t sit right with me

I think she liked the city more than she liked playing there.

@@Official.tadiwa the lost to Mugu I can see why she lost cause she was tired! They had Serena playing everyday
