I just did a 12 gen build in this case and I love it! 12700K with a 280mm AIO up top (MSI), three 120s in the front, and one 120 in the back. Dell 3080 for the GPU. Both the GPU and the CPU idle in the mid-20s
Everyone else: 5600X is enough for gaming with a 3090. Wendel: I need a gfx output so I found a 3060ti to pair with “All Mah Threads!” Of the 5950X. :)
Nice build! I'm wondering, I'd like to have both the Power LED AND the HDD LED. Is it possible to do that with this case? And/or replacement cables to make this possible? Thanks for your help!
I was able to get a 3950x/Asus ROG Crosshaiir VIII Hero and an EVGA 2080Ti to fit with a Corsair H115i and 2x 140mm Noctuas in front. About 1cm to spare. Since I now have a 5950x to upgrade to, it’s going in a Fractal Meshify 2. As will the old 3950x, that one to be moved to an Asrock x570 Taichi. That looks like it would be a good home for it 😊
did you manage to get the power supply and the drive cage in the build and still have space to run the cables? I'm so close to buying this case but I need to know if I can mount HDDs too (in the supplied cage, in that bottom compartment). The alternative is the full-size case but that's just too big for my liking. Danke.
What are the dimensions of the fans, rad, and gpu?? I really want to get this case for a new build, but want to make sure it will fit everything...thanks!
you think a 280mm would fit at the top? I have a Z63 AIO and the MSI Suprim X 3080 (336mm) and I wanted this case but with hopes that the Z63 would fit up top.
I would love a "cube master" from Fractal. Because they seem to be the only brand who still knows cooling matters, and having glass literally EVERYWHERE is !@#$ing $tupid. I want a cube case, which the front would have dual 360mm radiator support.... which is where the cube shape comes into play. As it would be wider than a typical case. The motherboard would be somewhere near the center, like typical cube designs. So you can have the PSU on the back of the motherboard with all the harddrive space you could ever want. And I mean real harddrive space. Looking at my corsair carbide air 540, you only have TWO 3.5mm drive bays, and they are for some reason in the FRONT of the case.... I ended up buying one of those 5.25 drive cages, where it takes up to cd-rom spaces, and converts it into THREE 3.5mm drive bay with a 80mm fan in the front for intake.... works great. But also "extra" to the case.... then you have the lian-li 011-air, which also lacks 3.5mm harddrive support. some of us need extra storage for work, but also want cooling performance for gaming. I actually have TWO 16tb drives, two 8tb drives, 6tb drive, and a 3tb drive, all classic 3.5 platter drives. then I have my NVME which is used for windows/gaming. I absolutely need the extra HDD space.... down the road I plan to get more 16tb drives so I can consolidate and use less drives. But still. Its an issue. Then the cube case would need to support the biggest baddest graphics cards. I have the MSI 3090 and its effing huge. I literally had to remove my fans from pull, install the radiator flat against the front of my case, then install the fans on the OUTSIDE in order to have everything fit.... so I definitely need a new case, but I don't want to go back to typical tower cases as I use the top of my cube case for light storage (box of tissues, ps4 controller, external drive bay, etc). we need proper cube cases. hasn't been a good one since one of the older lian-li cases which are no longer in production, and used people want like 500-800 bucks for them.... insane.
With the Meshify 2 Compact, could you mount the fans (2x140mm) on the outside if you wanted to? Reason I ask is because I have an Arctic Freezer II 280 which has a thicker Rad than normal 280 AIO's.
The 140mm that came with the case would be too thick to be mounted on the outside and close the door with the mesh filter. I haven't tried other 140mm so take my experience with a grain of salt.
Does Ubuntu use the same cat/tiger as mate does for their LTS release? Looks like unity desktop with Ubuntu mate and their logo in red as a background :-) didn't know that it existed
@@Level1Techs thanks a bunch for the response but I was -clumsily- going for a pun and wasted some of your time in the process. Keep up the good work, L1T crew.
I don't know how recent the case is, but the fractal design define r7 has a version with a metal side panel, it even has a sound dampening layer! Its great
Anyone tried putting a Noctua N15 in it yet? Presumably would require low profile ram such as Corsair Vengeance LPX. Also would be pretty choked if the upcoming Nvidia 4080 doesn't fit.
That’s a tight fit. I was thinking of front mounting a Corsair H150i Elite Capellix in this case but I’m not too sure it will fit. Has anyone tried this or an aio with similar dimensions that could help me out?
You can only DIY so much in a certain time a review doesn't eat as much time. And there are still IoT Videos in between. I bet other people like a pretty PC component holding box review. And this way with the news split they can put out almost daily without creating a huge workload appeasing the YT algorithm
the cpu is max 140 watts... the hot air isn't that much. esp. over a 360mm rad. The idea with the big rad is to keep temps down for potentially more boosting headroom. In reality, it's fine. I do like a top rad too, but in this case, with this cpu. It's fine.
Hi! that LCD panel is actually a part of the graphics card being used. The card is called Colorful iGame GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Vulcan OC. Hope that helps! ~Editor Autumn
-Has original Meshify C, having trouble upgrading to an aio for the first time due to ATX mobo and 11.73 inch length 1070ti, and buys Meshify 2 in response -sees this video *Aw f*ck*
The misleading thing with this case is the fact, that the meshify 2 "compact" is bigger than the meshify C. Thats ridiculous in my eyes. I mean, its more compact than the meshify 2, right, but with a "compact" as an addition to the name, it should be a lot smaller. I´d like to have a meshify 2 compact or mini case, which is just smaller than this one here.

Office Space is my jam. Damn it feels good to be a gangsta.
Dammit. Feels like I've not had my Meshify C that long.
Same, but I think I still prefer it to this one since it's smaller.
Wendel's excitement here is contagious. I'm stoked for this case and have no reason to be but for this video.
What is the length of the GPU that you used? I'm curious to see what is the max if you install a 360mm AIO in the Front of the case.

Thank you for talking about all the combinations in the beginning, life saver.
Once again it takes someone to do an actual build to show fully what a case is like. Cudos sir!
Love my Meshify C Case
Loved it so much I bought a second one for my brothers PC he's currently using.
Cant go wrong with Fractal tbh. Good cases, if your building a gaming rig or workstation... or both.
Honestly this was probably the right case for me. But I don't regret how much room I have in the 2 XL.
I am also a lover of the meshify c combined with be quiet! fans. My personal rig has the same combo.
Thanks for the video! You should 3d print the bracket just to get rid of the GPU sag! How were your temps???

Did you use the hard drive cage? And did it needs an ssf PSU in order to fit the drive cage?
The stylized pattern on the rear grill does look potentially more restrictive.

"tubes down" on an AIO with the pump IN the tubes is a bit moot lol...
It's a bit big for a ITX mobo? Will there be a smaller version? It's hard to find decent cases with Type-c connectors.
Do you have any pictures of it with the glass panel on it? Would love to see how the RGB pops out with it on there.
Is the bottom fanfilter rattle resolved? i had to tape mine because it would resonate against the frontpanel. which is a known issue
Is that a custom video panel on the graphic card, or is that a graphic card that comes with it. If either, links or product names?
Well, the Perseverance Mars Rover has landed! Now it also uses USB 3.0 and a Linux OS to run it's systems. Let's hear from you guys!

Any reason you're not putting the heat spreader on that nvme drive?

Isn't it a bad thing to have your AIO set up like that? To be specific, with the tubing on top instead of the tubing at the bottom?
No its not bad
