The reason why he moved and started his own sanctuary is because he found out that the park he was previously at was raising lions to be trophy hunted. He managed to rescue and move them successfully into his sanctuary where they reside today. Kevin has a youtube channel called “The lion whisperer” where you can see them.
Omg how terrible! I work in animal rescue and I see this ALLLLLL TOOO OFTEN! It’s CRAZY how corrupt and dishonest so many of them can be. Incredibly heartbreaking. Thank god for him. Do you know where there might some video on this ?
@@OanhSchlesingerI think most of his animals were born in captivity & the other’s were donated from circus & rescued from bad situations. Most of his animals won’t make it if released independently in the wild. Kevin has a huge sanctuary for his animals. They all look healthy & he seems to take great care of them 🙏🏾

Children grow and start their own life .. family etc. Now Kevin has committed to care for all in the Sanctuary till the day they pass and he passes... and as proven the care he has given and upbringing. Has given them a longer happier and healthier life... I've not long been Subscribed but so far this has made a great impact on all animals in his care.. and they still haven't lost their ability to be aloud to be who they are wild at heart... A great Family he has built ...

For me he is a heroe his love and work for these animals are absolutely beyon a normal human. I've worked many years helping stray animals and I can tell you is not easy at all, imaging working in such a big project like this and carry out all these animal and its needs. Hats off for Kevin.

It’s not easy. He (Kevin) probably don’t have a life, outside of his sanctuary. I never heard of wife & kids?!? Not sure of his personal life, but he had to give his life to these lions. It takes a special person to do that❤️🦁🐆🙏🏾

This is so Beautiful to see these lions which we all see as alpha predators actually show Kevin so much respect and love as their own. It's mind blowing to watch this. We all should be thankful people such as Kevin are around to guard these beautiful animals. Awesome documentary
What Kevin is doing is just an unreal. To play tug of war with a freaking hyena holding her teeth, or wrestling with a giant lion, or hang out with them like one of the clan. And they respect and trust him so much. Its crazy.

I just enjoy watching Kevin Richardson interact with his lions and hyenas and black leopards. His commentary is very insightful. Makes me a better pet parent to my domestic kitties.
I love how worried he gets about just moving them all. And how he gets so happy and relieved that they don’t have to be tranqed. And he brings awareness to a lion being old or a hyena experiencing some dominance issues with the others. He really has taken as much care as he possibly can to take care of these beautiful animals. I love the education being given as a lion is casually biting his leg. He treats them with respect and he admires them.

Meg is now 21 years old now and has been successfully paired with and bonded with Icarus a male who lost his pride members due to age. He was alone, same as Meg was alone after Amy passed. Being social animals it was good for them but it took a year of getting them used to each other through a fence before they actually started being let into the same enclosures. It is documented on his Lionwhisperersa channel on You tube.

Kevin Richardson, you're very gifted. I've seen the worst outcomes, but with what I've seen in Go Wild, I've seen the best. I smiled when one of the lions passed by you from behind. You chuckled as you said: Don't turn your back on a lion. In that moment, I did sense love. You're not a stranger to her. You, at her worst moments, took very good care of not only her, but all of them. When they fight, you're there to patch them up. If they're sick, you make them better. You give them all food and drink. Yes, they're wild. We all know that. Evidently, they chose you. For how long? I don't know! I just hope they'll keep associating you with being the one who'll be there for them. They catch hell out there by themselves! I've seen enough documentaries to see what they go through. If they don't make that choice to trust one of us as I've just seen, then yes someone could become seriously injured or hurt! I saw that very thing before I watched this channel. A journalist went in the cage with a handler. The lion eventually attacked him. Not too bad but from what I saw, the lion communicated: 'That guy doesn't belong in here and if he doesn't get the message I'll eat him if not now, if he returns or anyone like him.' For whatever reason it was, the big cat became very agitated. Sure, they need preservation but it's up to us to know how! For all our sake. May you always be known for all the good, especially to these fragile creatures even though they're very strong, it's difficult to make it on ones own! They come from the harshest environments! I've seen how they live sometime. It can be pretty tough!

I’m STUNNED that these giant lions and lionesses behave like kittens around him! They treat him like part of their pride! 😱🤯
