Very informative. I’m one of those that didn’t realize how hard it is to get your coin out until recently. Doge for example cannot be removed even to their wallet. So I have to sell all the good positions I have, take the cash and buy in on say binance but now at the going rate. And their customer service is non existent. it gets worse they undervalue current crypto assets by 3% compared to everyone in the market, so if you want to lose 3% of every position then yeah choose etoro, i made the switch within a month of opening a etoro account, its for retail idiots who dont know any better, just a masive scam if you ask me, imagine opening a 100k position and etoro hidden fee is 3k, becuase youll never close a position for what its actualy worth becuase etoro choose the prices even if bitcoin is at 43k etoro advertise it at 41.5k and you probably think ooh this must mean i get to buy at a lower price hahaah their spread is nearly double to any compettitor, its essentialy a buy high sell low scam

Hi Jjampong TV! If you didn't buy with leverage, the position should still be open even when prices drop to 0. Some people continue hodling it until the market recovers. It only becomes a loss only when you close the position. It might be a different story if you bought on leverage. Hope this answers your question.
All of my investments are meant to be placed that long. For lower risk setups that I don't lose sleep over, I love REITS the most. Followed by blue chip dividend stocks and ETFs of major economies. If anyone wishes to buy BTC on etorro, watch this video first. I just learned the hard way what "not owning actual" coin means. Scumbags ripped me of by closing my positions I was transferring to my HW wallet. I should have known better. Quick example(how etorro and some others work): Lets say you bought BTC at 30k USD and you want to transfer to HW wallet now. Guess what - etorro closes your positions that are due to transfer on the market price (which happens to be somewhat 19K by the time of this comment) Result? Nice hefty loss on your account...Be careful people

This firm, even though it is Irish which I am is a pile of crap, wake up and stop believing comments on back handed bloggers throughout the internet with eToro and all the other big players pay to shut down platforms like Binance. No Commission rubbish talk, IT IS TAKEN IN THE SPREAD, trade on the actual market using a ladder or DOM, the price you offer and sell is the market, not some rubbish offered on these platforms.

You CANNOT withdraw ADA from eToro. The reason is simple: eToro is making a huge profit on staking the coin themselves. They take 25% of the staking rewards for 99% of crypto investors. (realistically, most people will be bronze members on eToro). But even if you have enough cash on eToro to be silver, they still take 15% of the staking rewards. This is why eToro will likely never support ADA withdrawals. Not financial advice, but here is what I would do: Close all ADA positions, buy a crypto that eToro supports for withdrawal (for example BTC or XRP) then withdraw that coin. Note that this may or may not create a taxable event, depending on your country. Good luck.

I don't think so. So far it's only their exchange wallet. If you want a private key, can transfer your cryptos to a external wallet like Metamask.
