@@kyle_vr When you say earn do you mean wages or gains on investments? No minimum wage required for ISA but it is free from any taxation on investment gains.

This is still a good time to invest in gold, silver and digital currencies (BTC, ETH. stock, silver and gold)
I find the take profit/stoploss feature terrible to use. You can't just set limits based on the current stock price, e.g. if a stock is $10, you can't say take profit at $12, stop loss at $8 as you can on T212-seems you can only set it relative to your original investment amount, which is particularly annoying if setting it long after the initial buy. It would also be useful to merge multiple holdings of the same stock. Takes too many taps to get to a chart of price on a stock. I find T212 way nicer to use.
I talk about the multiple holdings bit and the graphs in the video - I am not a fan of that either and I do mention Trading 212 in there too 😆 With the stop loss, etc I do hear you but I find the implementation seems to be clunky in one way or another with most of these apps. As of the "social" feature of eToro I don't really care, copying someone is pretty dumb. Great review, I am still confused about depositing money from GBP credit card e.g Halifax does provide a credit card that can be used for foreign currency transcations without any extra charges. If you use that card to deposit in USD (would this be considered as a purchase transaction or cash withdrawal from CC point of view?) there wouldn't be any extra charge from the credit card company for USD transactions and transactions will happen at Mastercard/Visa rate. Now, the question is how would you get paid back when selling your stock (if you are in profit), even if Etoro pays back on the same credit card, does credit card allow getting paid back on the account (not sure you can get paid on CC)? TIA
There will still be a 0.5% FX fee from eToro because your card is still in sterling. It’s just that your credit card company won’t charge you. Be very careful though - some credit card companies will treat these transactions as cash and charge high fees and high daily interest. And using credit products to top up investing ones has some other downsides too.
I face this issue where I can't withdraw to my new card since Etoro only allow withdrawal to the card I used for deposit, but the card has expired. Etoro makes the deposit very fast and easy but the withdrawal is complicated. The customer service is non-existant too. My money has been stuck in Etoro for a year

what are your thoughts on InvestEngine? Would be ace if you can do a full video about them. Vanguard kinda strikes me more trustworthy compare to someone who has been around for only few years.
It's in $ only and there is no conversion fee when you buy UK stocks - the fee only applies on deposit/withdrawal. They even cover UK Stamp Duty - this ACTUALLY makes them cheaper than other brokers despite the account being in $! :)
Would you recommend these US ETF's for long-term buy and hold traders? As they are a CFD, I'm not sure what that would mean if eToro was to go bust during this time?
@@fillfish9980 Oh! You're talking about the Copytrader. You don't have to use Copytrader - it's just a random optional feature for anyone who cares. I never used Copytrader on Etoro.
I m new in this, please, explain me, if i buy some stocks and leave them for long time, is this etoro platform safe? Exchanges are hacked..... will my purchase be safe!!?????? Thank You!!
Investing platforms like Etoro are very different to online crypto exchanges and the like. There are rules on money and asset segregation that apply, etc. Etoro has its own issues like many of the newer investing platforms, but these are very different beasts to the shady crypto exchange world - they are regulated and are structured very differently.
Hi. Can u explain me about CFD trading? Coz I bought some crypto currencies but i dont actually own the coins and i cant transfer or trade and dont hve a wallet. I contact support and they told me i am investing in CFD but I dont understand… I thought it will be like any other platform.. please
so with the CFD's if I happened to buy ARK ETFs does that mean that I won't get margin calls? And is there really any point in owning an ETF if you don't actually own the share as you're buying a contract only?
Correct - no leverage so no margin to play with if you don't choose to. In terms of owning an ETF directly vs via the CFD - the risk is really with the counterparty which is typically incredibly low. The benefits are the same - you get the same growth in value, dividend distribution, etc.
Is this totally trusted without any problem can we deposit and withdraw? There is no long term fee for holding stocks I see but 5 $ withdraw fee, right?
It’s not legal in jurisdictions like the UK... They do charge a fair few fees - the 0.5% FX fees, spreads and overnight fees on CFDs, crypto spreads, etc. That sounds pretty decent actually for earning a bob or two.
Hi Sasha! Great vid! Are you still using eToro? Just wonder if you could do another video about specific features on eToro like trailing stop loss, etc. Thank you for a very informative content on your channel :)
Well, the currency your hold is in $, I don't get it why Sasha wouldn't mention it- so if you buy any stocks in the UK £ yet your paying as $, this is the catch depends on the exchange rate.
Is it not worth maybe following the top traders even just putting a small amount like £1000. I havent been on etoro in years but if i remember you can check there stats outs ect cant you.
You can definitely check stats but as the disclaimer next to the stats says, past performance is not necessarily a good indicator of future performance...
Low value crypto trades are not available for transfer to the eToro crypto money wallet , you have to trade a minimum amount I thinks it’s $ 100 , I had to sell all my small trades then buy back in one larger trade to be able to get available to transfer 🤷🏽♂️
@@SashaYanshin Yes that is clear. I did hear that some people were being charged an additional fee. I've just checked their website again it states "That said, your bank may charge a fee to receive funds depending on your payment method. Not sure. I didn't go there - don't want to lead the investment decisions of thousands of people. Don't think it's actually that good an idea overall although I find it pretty interesting.
@@SashaYanshin I checked this and I think people that get many copiers start to receive a monthly income from etoro, not based on their profits, but based on number of copiers
Really useful vid, Sasha, thanks for posting. Great channel too. Small request, please can you speak slower as it's difficult to hear what you are saying a lot if the time. Many thanks.
I know about this platform from you, Sasha. It is really easy to use for beginners and with the "social trading" you can see different points of view. Not that you can trust everyone. The platform is not bad at all but only in USD and the dollar get cheaper day by day. I still believe that you actually do not own any asset there and you are just betting against the future price. No option to vote! May be the share is on your name only in eToro and this is why no stamp duty. Not sure about that. Overall happy with the platform. You are doing them a big favour (amazing review) and hope they are paying you about it.
The review is not paid in any way other than through the affiliate referrals (if anyone clicks). And as for the USD going down - the exact same issue would happen on Trading 212, Freetrade or anywhere else if you are invested in a US company... :)
Try getting your money of etoro. Not only are the withdrawal instructions impossible to follow but it takes days whereas others transfer immediately. I won't ever deal with them again.
Something else that is not great about Etoro is they don't offer leverage on all stocks or EFTs , they seem to decide what stocks its users can use leverage on. Now apparently this is to protect users but if anyone is engaging in using leverage they should be aware of the risk and able to make their own decisions regarding their investments.
It's a fine line for a platform like that to tread because of the bottomless legal pit they have to deal with from a million different jurisdictions...
Interesting regarding the W8-Ben. I added the W8-Ben after signing up not during signing up but before I bought my first USA stock. They confirmed W8-Ben doesn’t expire until December 2023 but still stop 30% tax. Trading 212 and Stake have always only stopped 15%. It’s wrong and they should sort this out but like you say, I’m not going to spend a lot of time squabbling over a few cents or even a few dollars.
If you buy stocks over a long period of time, those "few dollars" would become "a few hundreds" and then a few thousands every 3/6 months. This, together with the fact that etoro doesn't provide reports or a tax wrapper makes it very unappealing to me.
The lack of an ISA is a thing, but I invest more than the ISA limit anyway so I have to use other platforms although I appreciate that won't be the case for many. And as I mentioned in the video - investing in the likes of Tesla and CCIV, I am not exactly gunning for dividends and frankly don't care too much because of the sorts of companies I generally am playing with. I can easily keep the dividend bearing stocks in other places.
@@SashaYanshin in a scenario where people invest once a month imho having to pay fees still would not matter when - for instance - all records are kept in GBP and reports for tax purposes are easier to generate. But then it's a matter of preferences.
@@SashaYanshin I gonna stick with trading 212 despite their fx fee I also use vanguard. i wish there was a completely free one like webull or m1 finance in the UK o well maybe someday t212 only small fee for us stocks so not the end of the world tks for reply

Now wait, so the innactivity fee draws 10 dollars when not logging in for a year. But the open positions remain on hold and it only draws from funds. Will it stop when reaching 0$ or close your account voiding your positions too? Before using the app I just want to clear this up.
Here’s another bad thing. Last month I traded ENLC BAK TGB KTB and more. 10% per month with 2% risk per trade. Guess what.. None of these are available on etoro. Anyway, today I will buy CCS at break above 77.75 but not on Etoro.
Etoro Closed my account because " I didnt verify my account " and forced me to close all my trading positions at loss , what a ridicolus platform ! someone know how to sue this company ?
it's not good for affiliate mate because they don't allow lots of countries due those countries's traders are too good. Understand? Their spread is higher than other brokerage. It's very strange for Etoro disallow too much countries for trading. If you earn lots of money they will limited your trading products.

@@jimmycakes7158 I had an account with a company called HL, and a coin base account ( I know don’t judge me ), made small deposits of £100 and on both the withdraw process is insanely difficult
@@jimmycakes7158 but I’ve been using etoro for over a year now seems like a good platform
One thing I find weird is the lack of security. Why no authenticator allowed, for one thing?
Sorry for writing you, just out of curiosity your page come up on my suggested friend lists so I was just wondering if I knew you from somewhere?
Hi Sasha, great video as usual! I really want to start copy trading but I’m a little concerned! If the trader takes out x10 leverage does that mean your account does the same?
Sorry for writing you, just out of curiosity your page come up on my suggested friend lists so I was just wondering if I knew you from somewhere?
what are your thoughts on InvestEngine? Would be ace if you can do a full video about them. Vanguard kinda strikes me more trustworthy compare to someone who has been around for only few years.
Is etoro for Stocks traded in $ only? If they do UK stocks priced in £ , do they keep charging conversion fee for buying & selling?
It's in $ only and there is no conversion fee when you buy UK stocks - the fee only applies on deposit/withdrawal. They even cover UK Stamp Duty - this ACTUALLY makes them cheaper than other brokers despite the account being in $! :)
Would you recommend these US ETF's for long-term buy and hold traders? As they are a CFD, I'm not sure what that would mean if eToro was to go bust during this time?

Hey Sasha I cannot find your user in Etoro.
does it automatically buy and sell even though you don't want to ?
???
@@SashaYanshin So if the person sells it but I didn't want to sell it does it sell it anyway?
@@fillfish9980 Oh! You're talking about the Copytrader. You don't have to use Copytrader - it's just a random optional feature for anyone who cares.
I never used Copytrader on Etoro.
@@SashaYanshin I see what I meant was does it automatically buy or sell the stock even though I didn't want to?
@@fillfish9980 yes, it does.
@@SashaYanshin thank You!
@@SashaYanshin So trusted or not?
Hi. Can u explain me about CFD trading? Coz I bought some crypto currencies but i dont actually own the coins and i cant transfer or trade and dont hve a wallet. I contact support and they told me i am investing in CFD but I dont understand…
I thought it will be like any other platform.. please

thanks for your time
so with the CFD's if I happened to buy ARK ETFs does that mean that I won't get margin calls? And is there really any point in owning an ETF if you don't actually own the share as you're buying a contract only?
Correct - no leverage so no margin to play with if you don't choose to.
In terms of owning an ETF directly vs via the CFD - the risk is really with the counterparty which is typically incredibly low. The benefits are the same - you get the same growth in value, dividend distribution, etc.
@@SashaYanshin ah right okay, when I hear CFDs, I hear temporary holds but now I know that's not the case. Thanks

Erm. No... I am guessing this one isn't a question about eToro 😄
@@SashaYanshin 🤣i was just curious to know if there would've been any problem, but thanks for the answer

Nice vid thanks
Thanks Kevin!
do they sell your trades for hedge funds to front run? not seeing how they make money
It’s not legal in jurisdictions like the UK... They do charge a fair few fees - the 0.5% FX fees, spreads and overnight fees on CFDs, crypto spreads, etc. That sounds pretty decent actually for earning a bob or two.
@@SashaYanshin tks I did not know that
Hi Sasha! Great vid! Are you still using eToro? Just wonder if you could do another video about specific features on eToro like trailing stop loss, etc. Thank you for a very informative content on your channel :)
Good review. Thanks
Sorry for writing you, just out of curiosity your page come up on my suggested friend lists so I was just wondering if I knew you from somewhere?
Bought shares in FTCV in the hopes that it’d pop when it merged with eToro. What are your thoughts on eToro as an investment?
I personally don't hold any - maybe they'll do well but I don't see the upside as an investment.
you left Etoro right? or now just use a private portfolio?
Tnks for th video,
Is it possible to buy shiba inu coin on etoro.
Tnks
No idea - not even worth looking it up.
I'd be interested to hear anyone's experience when it comes to withdraw your money since I've not made any withdrawal yet
Are you still on eToro and what is your nick name over there
Well, the currency your hold is in $, I don't get it why Sasha wouldn't mention it- so if you buy any stocks in the UK £ yet your paying as $, this is the catch depends on the exchange rate.
What's the catch? I am pretty sure I talk about the fact that the account is in $ and the exchange fee you have to pay on deposit and withdrawal.
Is it not worth maybe following the top traders even just putting a small amount like £1000. I havent been on etoro in years but if i remember you can check there stats outs ect cant you.
You can definitely check stats but as the disclaimer next to the stats says, past performance is not necessarily a good indicator of future performance...
Do you need your NI number to sign up with Etoro?
🤣🤣 If your a penguin 🐧 in Antarctica 👌. Love your twist on that. 😏
Thanks! :)))
so if i have a $50 deposit , how much am i charged for that deposit . i know we are charged $5 for a sell .
Only the FX fee - the fixed amount as you said is on withdrawals only I think.
Low value crypto trades are not available for transfer to the eToro crypto money wallet , you have to trade a minimum amount I thinks it’s $ 100 , I had to sell all my small trades then buy back in one larger trade to be able to get available to transfer 🤷🏽♂️
great explanation.
I've heard reports of people being stung with a fx fee on withdrawals, is that really the case? Great videos btw!
They have the 0.5% FX fee + $5 fixed. Is this what you mean because that's pretty clear I think.
@@SashaYanshin Yes that is clear. I did hear that some people were being charged an additional fee. I've just checked their website again it states "That said, your bank may charge a fee to receive funds depending on your payment method. For those details, please check with your bank." so that will explain the issue, I think. Thanks for the response!
Is there some incentive for people to get copied? Do they make some extra money from being copied?
Can you trade with money you made immediately after you sell shares or do you have to wait till funds settle?
Yep - as with most new platforms you can reuse the funds immediately.
What if you use a credit or debit card to deposit funds then the cards expire?
You’ll have to go through customer services potentially - may need to submit some more paperwork to prevent fraud 👍
Then they would have another excuse to hold your money.
when your card expires you bank details like account number and sort code doesnt change so you can still use it as same bank account no troubles
Thank yo👍💯👍
So those fees are how they are able to fund their seemingly unlimited marketing budget...
They do do a lot of marketing!
@@SashaYanshin At this point, the only thing they are promoting is UA-cam Premium!
No!!!!! Don’t do it to us content creators! 😜
@@SashaYanshin What do you mean, are you saying UA-cam Premium is bad for content creators? I thought it was the other way around!
@@TecraX2 Yeah - content creators earn a lot less from UA-cam Premium views per view than from normal ads. At least I do! 🤣
Try getting your money of etoro. Not only are the withdrawal instructions impossible to follow but it takes days whereas others transfer immediately. I won't ever deal with them again.

Do you know another app that is more sufficient? And that works good for Europe countries?
Hi Sasha. Any update on Trading 212?

Withdrawals from etoro take far too long. 10 working days. It’s 2 days with t212. Get your act together etoro

Leverage craziest childish thing an adult can do
@@DanteSlappedyouwithfacts yea. If only you have some insiders information. Normally that doesn't make sense for me :-)

But then it's a matter of preferences.
very interesting
I don't invest with them anymore withdrawn was a chore with revolut took over 2 weeks ridiculous 😒 I'm sticking with t212

This is completely difficult to understand trading with eToro because whenever you trade you will find yourself in loss thus I am suggesting everybody be careful to trade in eToro.
Understand everything before loss everything because this is gambling trade on here and YOU will never win in Etoro. 😂
Can you withdraw your crypto from etorol
Sorry for writing you, just out of curiosity your page come up on my suggested friend lists so I was just wondering if I knew you from somewhere?!!!
Definitely not the greatest choice of less known/smaller stocks - one of the downsides.
I have never used then and I never will, I am so sick of the ads playing all the time
Haha! They do do a crazy amount of advertising!
Etoro is not good for me because already styling my money sometimes
How so? You mean you don't like the fees/ spreads?
Etoro Closed my account because " I didnt verify my account " and forced me to close all my trading positions at loss , what a ridicolus platform ! someone know how to sue this company ?
There are so many great methods for making money on trading. Can you tell us, why this one is so special for you?
it's not good for affiliate mate because they don't allow lots of countries due those countries's traders are too good. Understand? Their spread is higher than other brokerage. It's very strange for Etoro disallow too much countries for trading. If you earn lots of money they will limited your trading products.
Sorry for writing you, just out of curiosity your page come up on my suggested friend lists so I was just wondering if I knew you from somewhere?
Red flag: you spend YOUR money to get YOUR stocks, but they are NOT yours. If one day eToro walks away with your money, you have nothing...
I have no idea where you got that from and protections like FSCS also apply in the UK
