I am actually impressed by this car They did an amazing job with the interior and features around the car plus lot's of space in the back Also amazing review!!
We just test drove the 2022 Blazer Premier w/the turbo 4 cyl and also the LT w/the 6 cyl and honestly, preferred the more nimble feel of the 4 cyl as the turbo adds a nice get up and go feeling. The 6 cyl actually made the ride feel like a slug but yes, it's more powerful of course, but not as nimble feeling as the 4 cyl. Hubby actually preferred the 4 cyl (he does more city driving that's why) so we'll be placing an order for the 2023 Premier AWD w/the optional black rugged grille, bow-tie emblems front & back and black front bar, black-out 20" tire rims, pano sunroof and other options. Too bad RS doesn't come w/the optional 4 cylinder otherwise we'd go w/the RS in a heartbeat! It's really a bad-ass looking cross-over vs others in its category.
In my real world experience with mpg it gets better than is speced. I get easily 33 when taking it easy. Always 30 or better and that is at a mile high or higher in elevation. Despite GM using the blazer name wrong, these are actually realy good for what they are.
great review, but they definitely need to add a hybrid/PHEV to the lineup. we are in the market for an SUV but 19mpg is just impractical at the current gas prices.
I love the new Chevy Blazer and I like that they're using the old name... if I can come up with enough money this year I'll be buying an RS Chevy Blazer in red! I'm all in for a V6!
yeah this is not a blazer 😒 these companies are doing this nowadays, just slap one of ur legendary iconic name on a piece of junk and there u go, they're ruining their own legacy
@@Big_Black_Dick I agree with you, it seems like manufacturers are slapping iconic names on boring crossovers that only white middle aged moms drive. The blazer was known for being body on frame and off-road capable, instead they turned it into a Starbucks machine meant for white moms.
@@aimxdy8680 😅 yeah exactly right lol i remember the days when a soccer mom truck was a Range Rover LR4, everyone is getting so soft and fragile today 😂 lol,,,, but yes the topic is companies ruining their legacy 🤔 all the Japanese JDMs are doing this a lot, NSX, integra, eclipse, supra, etc......
Great review. I think you covered all the bases. I wish car designers created space for a purse. I always have to reach back or have my passenger practically step on it.
Blazer name is great. Don't forget that after the Blazer of the 1970s there was the S10 Blazers - based on the S10 pickup platform. At different times we had a 87 two-door, 91 4-door, 96 new style 4-door, 00 4-door. After that, a 05 Trailblazer. So the Blazer name is great. They're not meant as an off-road vehicle.
the Best LOOKING suv I've seen. unfortunately its also a bit PRICEY and with a 19 mile per gallon range at this time when gas prices are very high.....
Driver of a 21 blazer RS here. 115% agree the blazer needs a different name. It’s honestly a redesigned/stretched out equinox with a v6. And that v6 in a mid size suv is a dying breed. The blazer is made to look stylish and back it up. There’s plenty of room in the engine for upgrades, work space, mods and whatever your heart desires. The 360 birds eye camera is honestly something that needs to be a standard feature on every car. And the rear view camera mirror can look up and down, change brightness and even has a small zoom option. Your info screen can also be customized with a handful of apps, and can be rearranged to the users desire. Lastly, the sunroof goes all the way to the trunk, so right above the back seat headrest.
Definitely a good vehicle. I test drive the 2021. My only gripe is it is priced a little too high given what competition is offering. The price really needs dropped by 5-7%. Screen will also be boosted to 10" for 2023, but the 8 is fine. I'm not watching a movie. Plus, it is very responsive and well organized. I can't say that about the competition, having tried the Palisade's, yeesh, what a confusing mind f that one was.
I like the blazer. I have a Ford ST. Thinking of trading, but then again….. Holding on to my thoughts. Waiting to see what’s coming in the future. Chevy Blazer is a very nice stylish SUV. Hope to own one.
Should have made a hybrid. Now days that mpg is unacceptable. For the size it could have gotten closer to 30mpg. Get with it Chevy. If things get worse, the resale value will drop that a rock.
Most of the 50k is because that RS is fully loaded with a bunch of unnecessary tech including, sun roof, Bose stereo, upgraded infotainment system, heated this and that.
+ Individual Driver and Passenger climate control... w/ the ability to synch to one temp, or blow cool on one and warm on the other... Just bought one of the last 2022 Black on Black RS and I'm loving it, as a single Man looking "down the barrel" of expanding family (lol) it provides both the sport, and utility for my maintenance/ operations field, as well as the class and sport for my personal taste... As of now, I only payed 43K, brand new, w/ 20" wheels (better drive imo) and no 2 tone hardtop... everything else is the same as well as the sunroof... If someone is looking... I personally liked the 2022 more than the '23 I tested back to back... and love this vehicle... If the larger screen is your thing... you might like the '23... But when it's not a "functioning video display," it just gets in the way of utilizing that nice flat dash for temporary items/ notebooks etc... Chevy perfected the '19 w/ the '22 imo... the '23 is very similar, less hard lines, more lux look... Not more appealing to me at least...
I rented one few yrs ago was ok good mpg it was the v6 ,not a fan of front wheel drive cars if this was only colorado based 4x4 with the durmax diesel id order one
Stellar car I am car shopping these days between the Blazer, the Mitsubishi Outlander and the Buick Envision all in 2022 models and most likely the battle will be between this one and the Buick Envision ! When I decide which one I am getting I will let you know
Oh Chevy… $50k vehicle and that’s the interior. The air vents are so bad they make me cringe. I was impressed with the exterior and the v6 engine but why do they always crap up the interior. Ditch the red stitching, plastic everywhere and the tacky vents, and drop the price to $38k and I might consider it.
I'd never pay $50K plus the $3500 in sales tax for a Chevy crossover. I'll buy a 3yr old certified Honda or Toyota for about $25K and have a $400 monthly car payment instead of $1000 Blazer payment on a vehicle that rapidly depreciates

Congrats on the CG gig. Looking forward to your reviews. I was a mobile mamma subscriber.
Excellent review on this Blazer. Wish GM had kept the 1LT,for a affordable cost.

I remember seeing a teaser that there is one coming in 2023
if it came with a HYBRID I would have definitely buy this SUV
She's absolutely adorable!!
If i remember correctly, when these first came out you could not bypass the auto-start-stop. Did they change that?
Might have to double check, but I believe they dropped that feature for 2022.
Yes, there is a button to override it. You do have to do it every time you start the vehicle though.

The blazer is meant to be an body on frame SUV, not another boring and stupid 4 cylinder crossover for trendy millennials.
I agree with you on the name. The new BLAZER is what it is, but not what the BLAZER name suggests it is. Nice, but too pricey IMO.

I would like to see reviews of an LT3, more chrome the better with V6 and 18"rims. Wider tire sidewall equates to a better ride.
Good suv, should've chosen a different name
