Nami *Official* MAX Range test

  • It's been a long time coming. The crazy thing is me doing this range test while reaching the 1000mile milestone which I will be doing a video of here soon. It's been a great 1000miles of course but let's talk about this range.
    So before performing this range test, I've tactically set the NAMI to slow charge so that after the slow charge is complete and the light on the charger turns green, I left the NAMI plugged in so the BMS (Battery Management System) built into the NAMI can balance the battery cells for a healthy charge. This will ensure maximum performance from the battery for as long as I take it for a ride within I would say 4-5hrs. If you know you arent going to be riding your scooter (any scooter) within a few hrs, try to leave it between 60-70% charge for the best battery life.
    Any whu, I hope you guys enjoyed the video. Below I will leave a heap of links to other NAMI vids equipment used for some of my video's, links to a great supplier of high performance scooters and more.... thanks for watching and stick around If you like my content.

    Great video actually did way better than I thought 💭 especially far as range did very well now I see the scooter is definitely worth the money you spent

      Thanks alot my guy! I would say this was extreme range. That new 40ah battery pack being sold now with this same test easily goes over 100miles with slightly faster targeted cruising speeds and if I rode it the same way I rode my NAMI in this video, I would expect about 110-115miles before it dies at my rider weight.
      As far as the NAMI being worth the price? Well at first I had to justify the monies I've spent when I first bought mine. There was little trial and error with it from the paper thin rotors it came with so some interior stem components being a little on the weak side but got it replaced and in deck fuses being too small for the application.
      Once I got past all of that stuff, this thing has been an animal. Two days ago I got my NAMI up to 64.5mph with my wheel size set to a more corrected value then the stock 11" settings and I didn't stay in it. This scooter continues to impress me.
      This is why I say it's worth it:
      1. NAMI has been improving on this scooter since Ive purchased mine.
      You now have...
      - stronger steering components
      - stronger and better overall brakes
      - revised controller tuning
      - revised control panel (aka display) it's alittle brighter then mine
      • small upgrades from mine like those beefier charging ports that allows you to charge your battery with a single 10a charger (If I am not mistaken) allowing you to fully charge your NAMI very quickly
      • quick disconnecting for both front and rear motors so you don't have to open the deck to reach the connectors for both motors when you need to do tire changes/bearing changes etc
      I may be missing some things but the best of it all is every new revision to the Burn-E can be replaced and installed onto your older 35ah/32ah nami's. Just about all of these revisions are plug and play.
      So NAMI's are being built sorta like Hondas. Where you can take parts from newer models and plug and play them to your current NAMI.
      My bad for the long ass response lol
      If you buy the 40ah burn e right now. Any future burn-e's that come out with new components whether it be stronger controllers, bigger battery, tires, whatever will be able to receive those upgrades and you can order them directly from the owner of NAMI himself and get your parts within 7 consecutive days.
      I don't know any other company right now that offers that. Does it sound worth it to you even just a little?
      I haven't even tapped into how many people can't stop talking about how superior of a ride these nami's give them. There may be faster scooters, but these nami's have this special feel about them

      😂 I know right. It sure is alittle cramped up there. I think I'm done with mounting things for the time being lol

    • @dcmackintosh
      @dcmackintosh 2 роки тому

      I just got a Garmin 530 for my gravel/road bike, it's a great unit. I could mount that on my Nami too, but I think a phone mount would be better so I could use Google Maps.

    • @Jonasegway
      @Jonasegway  2 роки тому +1

      @@dcmackintosh however. If you download that "relive" app along with the "Garmin connect", the data from your Garmin edge 530 will synch to that app giving you the overlay with details on the ride you make with your scooter. So that's why I keep the edge 530 on the dash. Also, with some practice, you can actually map out rides with the garmin connect app and upload them to your edge 530 so you don't have to use your cellphone.
      I try to use my phone as little as possible to lower the chances of compromising the internal gyro due to the heavy vibrations caused by the scooters.

    Do the V13 Challenger range test when it drops. I've been wanting to upgrade. My PEV currently gets 30ish MPC depending on how I ride (21.5 mph red line).

      No his nami's are the max 2's. And he ships through UPS which will leave you with an undamaged NAMI. I would say email him because his website isn't up to date fully.
      If you have Facebook, his name is PaulBigSixToon. Send him an SMS and ask him about the NAMI if that's what you are looking for. He will get you squared away quickly !

    Not sure if I missed it, did you say which battery you have? I believe they originally had 35Ah, then 28 (with smaller 30A controllers) or 32Ah (Max), and now 40Ah.

    • @Jonasegway
      @Jonasegway  2 роки тому +1

      It seems I didn't mention which battery. So I just changed the thumbnail mentioning the battery pack. There was the 35ah then 32ah then 28ah and now here in a month the 40ah.
      I have a video going over differences but I was asked to not release any info till mid this month
