Wanted to add: They should have your tutorials in the ingame help menu because you explain exactly what is needed perfectly. While with the ingame ones they break things up and don't do a great jobs getting me the info I need in one nice section.
Oh thank you I bought the game and thought this is great, going to fill a gap until Starfield comes out..then I went into space and got into battle and I had a melt down over the controls, thank you for your video!
Hello. AFAIK there's partial support available for joysticks and controllers, but many users reported issues with it. Due to player requests, dev has full support in his future plans. Hard to say when those will get some love.
Hi! I don't use a HOTAS or controller so I wouldn't know :( best place to ask is on the games Discord, or on Steam forums. Some folks in the community seemed to be using it, but overall support seems limited/partial for those input methods.
Can I move fast like my squadrons in faction battle mode? It takes so long to move from point to point in battles with my generals that I just stay in the middle of the map. If I knew how to jump from say the armory to the communication in an instant like them I could conquer the galaxy a lot faster and defend it as well!
You can. That is explained in the Faction Ops tutorial but is easy to miss: you have to hold B to toggle on the "Battle Engine". This only works during Faction Ops, so instead of Warping you go into a super fast flying mode. :D
I have a question about 'H' and accessing the Comms controls: Are those controls each available via keystroke, without using the mouse...either by default or by keybind config? Same about all things on the HUD--some require mouse (H first) or just an option, since there are keybinds available?
Hello there. For now, the Signals/Comms interface (top-right) is only accessible via mouse. Nearly all UI screens have hotkeys or are easily accessible, I never use the top-left panels. Some folks have been requesting hotkeys/shortcuts for the Comms screen (or for comms in general), so I wouldn't be surprised to see it in the future. :)
Hey there. I never played with controller :( The controller support is partial/limited and full controller support is in the plans. Hopefully it becomes easy to setup and play using controller when that day comes. The Steam/Discord forums have players that seem to have tried and made controller work, so I would ask those places for advice. Thanks for watching, sorry I couldn't help out :(
do a tut on capturing systems because the the in-game tuts are garbage and don't tell me shit. It says to capture all the buildings in a system with ground ops, but how the fk do i do them?
