I wonder how many people visit that attraction and shout "Bono?!" while walking around inside? I suspect the National Trust staff aren't too amused.
Perhaps not! But they don't mind the free promotion they received and the fact that this episode must have drawn many more visitors to the location who had never heard of it before! You know how it goes, they all spend money - in that canteen if nothing more! :)

I actually work there and it happens at least 3 or 4 times a day.

Sometimes they'll also scream "THERES BEEN A RAPE UP THERE!"...get their attention. Always get their attention.
I must've watched this 100 times but what gets me is not only how funny the whole thing is, but the little touches that make AP such a well rounded character. Like the joy in Alan's face as he projects his Alpen fantasy on Bono is priceless. Such great acting and writing!

Probably the funniest sketch ever along with the Dan, Dan sketch. One of our finest comedic talents. I remember seeing Coogan as a very young man on the Krypton Factor
Those two plus the ‘you can’t!’ South African scene! And the whole rest of the fireplace episode including the disastrous Dante fireplaces presentation
Partridge must surely have been on the shortlist as the new presenter of the factor! The Krypton factor remashed, think the Crystal Maze meets The Chase meets Charlie and The Chocolate factory, is chocolate a bit racist? Scrap that! Would have been OK for the younger Alan.Methinks older Alan needs something less energetic though, a series of one to one's at various venues, think partnerships and global imaging. Light yet heavy...
So many to choose from - the funeral scene, 'foot on a spike', farmers, 'cone-tract', cow, "smell my cheese'...the list goes on.
