      Do you mean KMKY WAP and I’m Alan partridge (this one)? Or this one and the next one.
      KMKY WAP was excellent as was this one. The third one (Sonja in the static home) was pretty good. Got a bit slapstick and gag oriented.
      Everything since then has been pretty poor. Coogan lets his politics get in it, because he’s a good comedic actor but a bigoted prick as an individual

    • @zufgh
      @zufgh 3 роки тому +4

      @@RaferJeffersonIII I personally think IAP series 2 is perhaps even better than series 1. But they're all great staples of British comedy. I also agree that Coogan himself is a bit of a pompous arse. I actually like Alan the character more than Coogan the person tbh.

    • @RaferJeffersonIII
      @RaferJeffersonIII 3 роки тому +1

      @@zufgh well, you’re wrong....you’ve got a lot to learn.....(as regards IAP 1 v 2) 🤣
      Actually 2 has some great moments and really clever scripting. However I think little things seem a bit kind of tired, like they were running out of ideas, like the bond episode. Some of the dialogue is probably better than IAP 1, agree on that basis.
      Yeah, Alan Partridge I’d rather have a beer with than Steve Coogan. He’s of anything less arrogant and slightly warmer and more gregarious, if more neurotic and childish.

    • @Scripture-Man
      @Scripture-Man 2 роки тому

      @@RaferJeffersonIII Totally agree - KMKY and I'm Alan series 1 are the best. Series 2 was pretty good, and he did a few Comic Relief appearances that were OK. But anything after about 2005 just wasn't the Alan I know and love. He started using the shrill voice all the time, with weird wardrobe.
      Alpha Papa was a disaster (especially that dreaful hair). This Time was a little more on track, but still not the same character. He's too modern, dark, and very often genuinely unlikeable. Alan was always insensitive and self-absorbed, but very lovable, chirpy, and charming.

    Any chance of uploading the end scene where Chris Feather has a heart attack just as he's about to sign Alan's contract. It's arguably the greatest piece of black comedy ever shown on the beeb.
