I was going to send my 32 year old Classic model to you for cleaning, but your videos are so detailed, I ordered the Re-grease kit instead. I also ordered a spring install kit and everdime for both my old machine and my brand new machine. Your videos are amazing!
Just bought and installed mine and while the movement was minimal before, it’s solid now! Can’t wait for my spring to come in for the paddles in a few days!
I just installed a EVERDIME in my wife’s new Artisan. She’s had her Kitchen Aid for two weeks now and It made no sense to operate it without the EVERDIME. I purchased the BUNDLE and the Love Handle and spring/washer also are must have items in my opinion. Great value for the money, thanks Zack
Just finished installing my spring and washer and my everdime. It’s noticeable how much of a difference both make to the general behaviour of the mixer - no more upwards movement on the attachment because of the spring, and no more bounce in the head because of the everdime!! Awesome products and the installation videos were an absolute breeze to follow. Great work.
I purchased the older revision of the everdime. Because I didn’t know at the time that the older revision would not work with my mixer, I stripped the threads while tightening the set-screw. I purchased 2 new set screws and a tap from Mr. Mixer to repair it myself…but that was months ago and haven’t gotten around to it yet 😐 if I decide to buy a new everdime, I’ll be sure to ask for the latest revision- so I won’t make the same mistake again.
Good to see you, Mr Mixer!! I will definitely be purchasing an Everdime for my beautiful mixer. For something so simple to protect it, I can’t imagine why everyone wouldn’t want to get one!! You are definitely the King of KitchenAid!! 👑👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks so much! I thought my 20 year old artisan was toast. I purchased a Bosch, which only lasted a couple of years before the plastic coins inside the bowl broke off. That's going to be expensive to fix, so i dug out the old kitchen aid, and with your videos and the everdime, I've got this thing running better than it ever did before. The head doesn't bounce at all! Best money I ever spent. 😊
Just installed mine. With the spring and washer. AHHH SOOO COOL I can actually see the difference right in front of my eyes. The KitchenAid just feel so much sturdier and higher end somehow. Thank you thank you thank you
Great product and easy install. The dime test is a wonderful extra. Our mixer came way too tight, and we went through several paddles without knowing why. We also picked up the double sided paddle attachment
Just installed the Everdime. I had no trouble screwing the screw back in although I was careful to be gentle until I was sure it was threading correctly. I adjusted the height using a dime. However the head still has some bounce to it although not as much as before.
@@MrMixer316 Thanks for the fast reply. That helped. I figured it's more important to slightly move the dime than to eliminate all the wobble so I loosened the screw just enough to just slightly move the dime. It still wobbles a tiny bit but not nearly as much as it did before. Thanks, Mr. Mixer!
If the head of your mixer is bouncing, chances are, the head is too low. Turn the adjustment screw to the left (loosen) to raise the head. Do the dime test to make fine-tune adjustments. You may also want to check your hinge pin to make sure it is centered. If it's not centered, I like to loosen the screw that secures it, which is located under the base of the mixer a half turn, center the hinge pin and then strongly tighten the screw to keep the hinge pin from moving. The enamel on your paddle tells you a lot about what adjustments need to be made. Enamel missing on the bottom of the paddle tells you that the head is too low and needs to be raised. Enamel missing on the side of the paddle tells you usually that the screw that secures the hinge pin is loose and needs to be tightened. Again make sure the hinge pin is centered before tightening.
The Everdime is a freakin' CHAMP! Best investment I've made since the mixer itself! Now... I just need a new paddle. Mine's destroyed because I didn't have an Everdime!
It’s my first mixer and I was trying to install the everdime and my screw was not going back in, I didn’t think I was being that rough with it. I’m just being extra careful now.
They must not be countersinking the hole as deep on the new mixers. No matter what I did the lock lever wouldn't engage all the way and the screw was going way too deep into the rubber. What I did was took a razor blade and trimmed off 1/2 of the rubber part that goes into the countersunk hole. That allowed the large part of the rubber washer to sit flush with the base and allow the screw to tighten without gouging into the washer too much. It all worked out and eliminated the bounce in the head. I checked the clearance to the bowl with the paddle attachment with the tilt head locked and all is good there.
You could use a tap with a socket wrench, usually it's just the first couple threads that get boogered up. Spray a little wd40 on the tap and give it a few turns an it's fixed!
On newer models the everdime will not fit perfectly in that "divot" mentioned at 1:27. Instead of having that button shape to the "divot" as on this mixer and the everdime itself, it is more like a bowl shape. Anyone interested in purchasing this may want to remove the screw and compare the "divot" on your mixer to the shape of the everdime itself.
They are not all like that, it's wierd because we have brand new machines and most of them are normal, some are cup shaped. Either way we are redesigning it to fit both models ☺️
