Hard to find products that don't have such a great cut to finish ratio. I really want to like the Megs SMAT, and 3D One products, but they both haze black paint... Menzerna PF2500 and SF4000 deliver incredible gloss every time.
I loved this...it’s the first denib video I’ve ever seen. It’s interesting how very little product you use compared to when i do it...so a valuable lesson learned 👍🏼
@@TonysRefinishingTV hi Tony I am from France use 2500 + 3800 menzerna how much speed orbital machine ? 2500 use orange pads 3800 use black pads correct ? Thanks Best regards
Great video as always my man, your saying that your being picky, I disagree it’s called standards and proves you take great pride in your work and reputation 👌🏻
Thanks fella but over factory finish and quality control it defintely being picky lol but your right man I like to turn out work to the best of my ability thanks for watching buddy
Tony, I have to disagree with you with respect to the best wet-or-dry sandpaper as there are two that I think are superior to the 3M although it too is very good. The two that I feel are superior are Starcke Matador from Germany and Eagle Kovax from Japan. The Starcke and the Eagle last longer than the 3M. However, the fact is that in this day and age I do most of my denibbing dry using Eagle Abrasives Super Assilex, Tolex or Buffex. One area in which we are in total agreement is the Menzerna polishes. The P400 is flat out amazing and frankly can do the complete job by itself. The way you accomplish this is by using a rotary with a wool pad (I know you Europeans don't seem to like wool but we American's certainly do and it cuts much faster and frankly I feel it's safer as it doesn't heat up the panel as much as the foam does) and follow that up using the 400 with a foam pad (we typically use orange) on a dual action (forced rotation not random orbit) polisher like the Flex or the large throw Rupes.
what i mean is the best thats readily available with ease as the ones you've mentioned arent as easy to get here as you may think, as for heads personally i prefer the wool pads but they are also hard to come by as easy over here
@@TonysRefinishingTV As I told you previously if you think the gold discs are great, and for the money they pretty much are, try out the platinum discs (Starcke 747 material) they are the absolute bomb.
Pretty much exactly how we denib and polish, have to say 3m or mirka wet and dry are both really good (consistent) we have just started to use 3000 trizac again after dropping it for abralon a few years ago.
Interesting video Tony, do you prefer a rotary to a da polisher? I have a Meguiar's da polisher but for some reason it leaves a hazy finish not sure why that is, plus it vibrates so bad it makes my hands tingle after using it for a while.
hate 3m tbh its overpriced theres alot better for less out there in my opinion ive not used it enough to compare to farecla yet but when i have il let you guys know
awesome informative video ..please can i use the same process wet sanding /400 then 3800 when i working on hard clear coat or a black car or that will leave some haze and sanding marks ?
@@TonysRefinishingTVexcuse my bad English.. I mean do you sometimes have to use an Intermediate step of menzerna 2500 before using 3800 or its ok for all clear coat types and black colors?

Just bought the menzerna compund and finishing polish and my opinion is it's the worst product out there. Clogs the pad up in matter of seconds, makes a LOT of mess. Leaves hard pieces of product in the pad. Meguiars does the same job with less product, faster better and cleaner. Couldn't believe the difference was this big. I left it for old cars for smal touch ups :P
Hi tony, how much quantity of menzerna final finish 3000 is enough for a small to medium size car ?
Thanks Tony great job as always. I use Menzerna for many years now have not found ( don't wanna waste time ) a substitute for their great products.
great to know mate thankyou

100% agree.
Can I match up menzerna 400 using orange pad follow by menzerna 3500 using black pad?
Its a like from me tony well explained with the products your using 👏
Thanks Andrew

Great work and video! Love Menzerna products.
Is the Compound (stage 1) safe to use on a single stage classic car to remove marks that (stage 2) medium cut polish doesn't quite remove?
Yes mate it’s fine for clear or single stage 2k gloss
Light pressure! YES! Thank you!
Lol no problem
Hey mate using menzerna 3800 whats the best pad to use...also can it be uswd witj rotary aswwll

rotary all the way for me mate we only use a da polisher to finish dark colours with but the cut stage we always use rotary for speed
looks like a rotary polisher youre using?
Another great informative video Tony
thanks stuart also great to see you here fella hope all is well

hi, i always have problems polishing the shade made with spot blender ... is this compound 400 good for polishing this problem?
great video can you use it by hand
Yes you can!
1 small bit of advice, let the clear cool for 1min before you rub it with microfiber cloth.
Spot on again tony I was always taught to use panel wipe after compounding
yeah its a good way to make sure the process is done right i think
@@TonysRefinishingTV hi what panel wipe down chemical do you use?

Menzerna je top 😎
Hello Tony I have a?

Spot on Tony. Nice quick turnaround, what clear did you use? have been considering trying that polish. I use 3m at the mo
Hi mate , personally I’ve always hated the 3m range and been a farecla guy wanted to test this and it’s great tbh , I used the kronox 610 on this mate
Tonys_Refinishing cheers Tony 👍🏻
