Oh thank you to Steve, his family and Ruby. I can’t tell you how much this uplifts me. The elderly, especially the elderly in nursing homes is such an underrepresented group. I’m just so grateful for people like Ruby. Those folks need all the kindness they can get. I’ve been following this series since you started it Steve and as the sole caregiver for my mom for many years I can’t thank you enough. She recently came home with hospice after a long hospital stay and a brief stay in a nursing home. I fight every day for the ability and means to be able to take care of my own mom. For all of those who can’t care for their family members at home, and perhaps for me before very long, I’m so grateful for the Ruby’s of the world. Thank you for bringing her into the light for us all to see. What a kind and amazing young lady! ❤️God bless those people they asked for so little and they need so much.
One of the most common examples of doing service for no pay at all, often without even much recognition of your sacrifice. When done right ~ Motherhood.
That was such a sweet video. Not only to be remembered but also I think it’s that someone cares enough to ask. Something like that tells people they are seen and recognized. Asking a person their likes takes you out of yourself. It draws you close to someone on an intimate level. It’s like asking them if they’ll be your friend. Or offering yourself up to be theirs!
I'm thinking grandma would like to have an avocado and tomato sandwich with a little bit of mayonnaise and mustard. Makes me miss my mom. It's not always easy living in Taiwan and your family so far away
Dear Steve, By any chance have you ever thought about doing the story overseas. I'm an American living in Taiwan and I've got plenty of stories I could share. The world needs more of stories like this
Steve Hartman is a national treasure.
Service like this only produces excellence. God bless you Ruby! Inspirational!
How wonderful to see Ruby all grown up and hear how her efforts have expanded.
Precious young woman. And his kids are too!

Steve is literally the best! 😊
She is an angel on Earth!❤️
What a sweet girl! She’s doing so much more than granting individuals’ wishes.
Steve deserves more than a 5min segment CBS...
