That's exactly how I ended up doing the challenge, I got a bit obsessed with bus videos and thought I could do that. So, I hope to see your video up soon! 😂
@@topmandog1 Haha, I love that and so very true! I hate that all my local buses are Arriva too. Thanks for watching and you absolutely should do one before it goes. I'm planning on a day out with the better half in November as she was intrigued by my journey. Definitely won't be the same pace though!
@backpack-travels-uk yeah must be straining. I grew up in bolton in the 2000s with arriva and we always got the most bog standard bus possible, getting a sapphire was a special day
Very good. Having heard those disgracefully rattling buses it now explains the Italian word arrivedogshite. £3 is likely to represent no meaningful value for many journeys. Importantly almost every bus in the video's 3 parts had plenty of available seats so wtf increase it to £3 and deter even more people from travelling?
@@YoursSinceSheerly You're right, the only buses where it had more than 25% ridership were the Skylink (to the big logistics park) and the 110 to Leeds. Not sure if it was the time of day (and that it was a weekend maybe?) but it certainly wasn't packed at any time so whether the £2>3 will have a negative effect will be soon to see
@@backpack-travels-uk In line with every likely step under Starmer's collection of policies, or should I say orders being following from the WEF as one of their puppets, the £3 increase is likely purely designed to remove further affordable pleasure from those on an average income or below. Heck of an adventure. I don't know whether it runs anymore, or at that time in the evening but there used to be a great bus from Newcastle to Berwick Upon Tweed.
Thank you, it was a really long day!! Others have mentioned the Berwick bus and had I not had to catch a coach back home early the next morning I think I'd have done that - maybe next challenge will include a day 2 with a hotel stay!
Great video as always! I work for The Range and CDS superstores who own The Range have reopened a few Wilko stores in Plymouth, St Albans etc. B&M took over the others. The song the kids where singing was Diamonds by Rihanna. You really need to invest in some headphones for these long journies haha
