You Don't Mess With The Zohan Movie Description:
Crack commando Zohan Dvir is Israel's first line of defence against terrorism, but despite his prowess as a soldier, he dreams of just one thing: becoming a hair stylist in New York. When a battle with his arch-nemesis, a terrorist called `The Phantom', gives Zohan the opportunity to fake his own death, he flees to the Big Apple to follow his dreams. However, `The Phantom' learns that he is still alive.
You Don't Mess with the Zohan is a 2008 American satirical action comedy film directed by Dennis Dugan, written by Adam Sandler, Robert Smigel, and Judd Apatow, produced by Sandler and Jack Giarraputo, and starring Sandler, John Turturro, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Nick Swardson, Lainie Kazan, and Rob Schneider. It was the fourth film that included a collaboration of Sandler as actor and Dugan as director. The film tells the story of an Israeli army counter terrorist commando with superhuman traits who fakes his own death in order to pursue his dream of becoming a hairstylist in New York City while contending with a crooked businessman, a superhuman terrorist, and the grudge of a taxi driver.
Produced by Happy Madison Productions, You Don't Mess with the Zohan was released on June 6, 2008, in the United States, and on August 15, 2008, in the United Kingdom, by Columbia Pictures. The film was a box office success, grossing $204.3 million worldwide from a $90 million budget. Despite this, however, the film received mixed reviews.

The craziest thing about this movie is that it's based on an actual person. Nezi Arbib is a former Israeli soldier who is now a hair stylist in Solana Beach, California.
Did you make that up?
@@lampad4549 No, he didnt, its actually true
@@lampad4549 It’s true, I was the scissors that cut his hair
If this is true, that would be funny as fk🤣
@@SLAPERZZ1 It's true. You can Google it.
By far the best Adam Sandler movie since the golden era. I could even say it is in top 5.
Eh I feel like Click gets overlooked a bit. It’s not a purely silly comedy like this or the others but was a surprisingly good and emotional story
Reign Over Me was terrific, but it’s not a comedy.
Little Nicky was good lol I luv that movie
@@Universemasterj That's My Boy is also hilarious
Uncut gems is the best. Zohan is a great comedy for when youre high and just need to stupid laugh for a while but uncut gems is emotional, dramatic, well written, shows a side of adam sandlers acting talent we rarely get to see, is well acted by everyone in the movie, and has pretty obvious adam sandler roots with the comedic parts of it.
Adam Sandler gets a lot of unfounded hate for his movies, especially the later ones. He doesn’t really make movies for you, me or an audience or money. He makes them for his friends and because he enjoys it, no matter how ridiculous and stupid it is. You gotta respect that, not to mention just how humble and an all around great guy he is, but he also won the Mark Twain award and that’s impressive.
One of, if not my favorite Adam Sandler movies. It's a movie that knows exactly how dumb it is and executes it with beautiful grace.
Also, I genuinely forgot how randomly shredded Adam Sandler got for this role.
How manny other UA-cam channels you gone copy this shit
Its a perfect movie for when you want to light up a blunt and laugh like a retard for a while😂😂
@@chrisgajski1662 Every single one until it no longer pleases him I assume.
Tbf he looked the exact same in just go with it. So it isn't too crazy
@@rHamUK yeah, he was actually in shape in this time of his life. I don’t know how he didn’t maintain it because he looked really good in shape
As a Jewish man with Israeli family, this movie is not only incredibly relatable, but hilariously accurate in its satirical take on middle eastern cultures. Sandler actually spent time living with an Israeli family to prepare for this film. And yes, we all love hummus.
Can confirm the 'going out of business' thing might be cultural: in my town (mid-sized coastal, rural town in Australia, for context) there was a Middle Eastern fellow who ran a Persian rug store and it was plastered with 'Closing Down! SALE!' signs for three years before it did actually close. Just seems like a funny coincidence?
There is or was a fabric shop near Broadway in NYC that had similar signs up for ages.
pretty smart tbh
Can confirm it’s the same in Perth, Rugs A Million has had a closing down sale for at least 15 years
Brisbane gang
Between that and the "no no no no no" they're definitely cultural and definitely those sort of stereotypes that exist because they're true. Grew up in a city with a HUGE middle Eastern population.
One thing we learned about Mel during this movie, he has a thing for old ladies 😂
Thicc ones too
I remember seeing this with my best friend in theatres 15 years ago. At first, we instantly regretted it but thank god we stayed because we were dying laughing by the end of it. That puppy scene and Fatoush's screams of the damned blowing up New York had us in tears. I'm so glad it still holds up, I needed that laugh.
Adam wanted Mariah in this movie because he said that he found that everyone in The Middle East fights, but the one thing that they all agree on is that Mariah Carey is Awesome. He thought that was funny. Both Adam and Mariah live in New York so it wasn't a thing to call her.
The Neosporin joke lives rent free in my head after all these years 😂😂
One of, if not my favorite Adam Sandler movies. It's a movie that knows exactly how dumb it is, and executes it with beautiful grace.
I wanna say 70 to 85 percent of this movie went over my head growing up. I didn't know shit about the geopolitics (still kinda don't) and the sexual innuendo was mostly just confusing. Of course I wasn't watching the Unrated cut. I just loved the effects, the action scenes and the zaniness. As the years passed, my appreciation for this movie has only increased.
I seen this movie like 10 times and after watching the video am I learning they all have stiffy's when Mariah comes out. This most def one of the best movies to sit back turn your brain off for a while and just have a good time watching.
Last great Adam Sandler comedy right here. It's so ridiculously absurd that it just gets me every time. The end of probably the best golden run of comedy movies from a single actor.
My dad died when I was young but THIS is the movie we bonded over the most lmao❤❤❤
THIS IS THE ONLY MOVIE to make me burst out laughing withing the first 30 seconds. The shot of him walking on the beach, with a serious face, kills me everytime. Hands down funniest Adam Sandler movie.
The foot sniff was a call back to Mr.Deeds. That was the first movie John did with Adam where he played Emilio the butler. He then had a serious obsession with feet.
You were starving this whole vid 😭😂😂
Historically sandler is using his ancesteral accent.
Zohan and uncut gems are 2 of the best movies sandler has done since the golden sandler movies like mr deeds and happy gilmore. Zohan is perfect for sitting back with a fat blunt and having yourself a good stupid laugh for a while, and uncut gems and click are great for when you want a more emotion driven movie with less comedy and great writing.
What about hustle, funny people, click, chuck and larry, and reign over me
@@Miller-jh2bg i literally mentioned click in my comment🤦♂️
@@gooeyking oh shit, sorry bro, I'm blazed right now, I didn't even read the rest of the message lmao
@Miller-jh2bg youre good i totally get that lol but yeah its not like i dont know about his other movies i just went with ones that were a better example of his actual talent as an actor beyond the typical "get loud when youre angry and its funny" or his usual sandler comedy style. Uncut gems is a perfect example of his true range and it immediately became one of my favorite sandler movies the first time i saw it. Was like seeing nic cage not be his typical nic cage self in the movie pig. Just such a huge departure from the norm that we receive from both sandler and cage.
@@gooeyking oh ok
Mello I can 100% vouch for hummus. It’s made from puréed chickpeas, tahini (sesame seed paste), olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt. Have it with some carrot sticks & celery and you’ve got a nice healthy snack. Pita chips or triscuits are okay too.
The way your editor puts you at the dinner table all the time is hilarious
Btw Emmanuelle Chriqui is who played Dalia now plays Lana Lang on Superman & Lois WHICH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, even if you don’t record a reaction to it just looks up some of the best moments and clips it’s SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD
Critics say the movie was trash. I was laughing the whole time. Disco...disco.... good, good!
The absolute CHAOS in this movie is insane, great react!
"Sony Guts" is a callback to an SNL sketch, featuring electronic stores run by Arabic folk, where, in the early 90s, we had several hundred such stores having yearly "Going Out of Business" sale, and no cheap electronics from boomboxes up from knockoff walkmans, they always said "This is a good value, it has Sony parts!".
Arguibly Adam Sandler's best movie. Its so ridicilous and stupid that it loops back around to being the best thing ever.
And I love that there is some depth to it as well. Zohan's journey to follow his dream of becoming a hair stylist, a profession not tipically associated with men, being mocked over it and actually finding someone he genuinely wants to settle down with was suprisingly wholesome
Zohan is one of the most ridiculous movies ever made and I love it.
Disco Disco - Good Good! Let's go! 🤣
Mello bro, you've been coming through clutch with some of these reactions you watching my favorite movies recently, Disco Disco
I love Adam Sandler . This movie was chaotic and crazy. And you Mr Mello are always a bit on the crazy side that's why we love your reactions. Until the next time 💜😊
I have been waiting for you to react to this movie. This was one of my favorite Adam Sandler films of all time. So glad you reacted to it.
The song at 19:24 that you said you liked that fit the moment really well is a song galled "Strip" by Adam Ant, he was at his height of fame in the early 1980's, and the video for Strip is epic and hilarious! He was always great at not taking himself too seriously. A song you might know by him is "Goody Two-Shoes" or "Stand and Deliver", both highly recommended! I loved that Adam Sandler used an Adam Ant song in his movie lol.
The edits make it funnier and so different then the other regular ass reactions
The Denzel clip gets me every time you play it. 😂😂😂
Heck Yes!!! This movie may not be the best one in the world but it doesn't have to be for it to be an enjoyable flick so I hope you had fun with it, I'm glad you took the time to check it out
I'm with you, it's comedy let's just have fun. My 2 fav Sandler movies are Zohan & The Waterboy.
And yes, his love interest is stunning, I know her name but can't spell it lol. I know ever word of this movie basically and it was so fun seeing you experience it for the first time!
love your editing it makes it more entertaining to watch.
Damn this brother STARVING
God I love your reaction videos I might just have to get your patreon keep up the good work my man
I freaking laughed so hard when you tried to do the double tap salute and actually hurt yourself 😅😅😅
Hilarious comedy recommended to me originally by a coworker who happened to be a psychiatrist. MD, FRCPC and all that. He thought it was funny. They snuck in some good social commentary behind the jokes. Nobody is ridiculed or blamed - except the people responsible - corporate jackasses. The love interest is a Canadian actress named Emmanuelle Chiriqui. I thought she was hot in the early 2000s. It’s always good to see Adam and his friends in a movie.
24:15 “It’s not for me”😂
One of my fav Sandler movies is "The Do over" with David Spade, Hilarious.
That movie really surprised me. I was already a fan of Both actors, but this showed them to be More than comedic Actors.
love your reactions bro:)
The plot line of Dave Matthews and his racist gang working for a corrupt real estate mogul kinda predicted the future, huh 😂😂😬
They look like the kind of people who raided the capitol.
This will forever be my favorite Adam Sander movie
THATS MY BOY! WATCH THATS MY BOY!
I love how you look generally confused by the cultures, but still knew when to laugh xoxo
Tarantino's casting had me in the giggles
There are films where you turn off your brain and just have fun... this is such a film. Strange Wilderness, a Sandler production which has no Sandler in it, is a similar vibe. Great react as always, it's good to see you laugh so hard.
This was a great Adam Sandler movie. I miss this era of Adam Sandler. 3:03 Zohan was loosely based on Nezi Arbib, a hairstylist and former Israeli soldier in Solana Beach, California. Arbib taught Adam Sandler and the film crew different hairstyling techniques, while Sandler learned Arbib's mannerisms. 5:47 the corridor crew on UA-cam showed how they did this scene. He was hooked to a rig on a boat that went up and down in the water. 7:19 the 80s hairstyles is cause he had an old Paul Mitchell hairstyle book that was from the 80s and he didn’t know there was newer ones. 8:24 I love how you talked about him “helping” the women out after doing their hair when you haven’t seen the movie yet and what he does when finally gets to cut hair. 39:21 they made their style mall and not Grant’s style. The woman with the child at the goat rides is Adam Sandler’s wife and one of his daughters.
One of my favorite Adam Sandler movies it's dumb but executed with perfect grace
This flick is TOO fun lol and yea, that girl is FINEEEEEEEE 🙌🙌
8 Crazy Nights will always be my favorite Sandler movie, cartoon.. timeless.
Excited to watch this one! Hey Mello!
This is maybe my favorite Adam Sandler movie. And the soundtrack is fire
Me and my cousin used to watch this movie over and over again scratching tf out that DVD lol good times
Remember how the dvd was printed where he did the splits?
Lmao yes I do remember that! It was the unrated version
Amazing video hehe so funny
There's this furniture store in my city that has been CLOSING since 1999 lol
That Fizzy Bubbola is what he always drank. His favorite. He bout schitt when she pulled it out.
Good movie reaction. I personally enjoy the soundtrack as well.
My uncle is the guy getting kicked in the face by Adam Sandler in NYC. Was insane to see this movie when the trailer was released around the Super Bowl.
Him acting in this movie and how he is with the older women, It reminds me of his other movie. That's My Boy.
Such a good movie, don’t care what anyone says, it’s hilarious when you watch it for the first time. I had to watch it again just to understand what was even going on🤣 like who even thinks of stuff like this😂
When i put extra effort into my hair i always say silky smooth
This movies never get old 😂😂😂
The actor who played Claude, was in a music video by R.E.M., called "Losing My Religion".
That’s crazy she was the mom in my big fat Greek wedding and the sequel.
I love your Malcolm X shirt!
Humus IS pretty darn good. Get the roasted garlic kind, and dip it up with Funyuns.
This movie is really out there.... but pretty damn funny! Ive always been a Sandler fan. 😂
Now we know Mel into them old ladies 😂
The Asian actor wasn’t on One on One lol he was on Half & Half 😂 I mean they all did come on the same network 🤷🏽♂️😂
First time I saw this = "damn she's fine!" like every 15 min 😅💯
Hey Mell. The next two movies you should teact to are The Longest Yard with Adam Sandler and Beerfest. Both are hilarious.
So sorry mello, but im seeing that the reason i didnt know this was out till now it that i had yet to subscribe. Im subbed now tho. Great work 👏 👍
The guy in the limo was Adam Sandler's coach on Water Boy 😂
I forgot how good the soundtrack for this movie is
i totally forgot this movie existed lmao this is a masterpiece!!!
Smell like straight fish the funniest thing i have ever heard 😅
I still say bullshlaka and bullshitaken 😂😂 this movie is hilarious 🤣
I remember not liking this when it came out but after seeing it again a few years ago it's probably the best one from that era of Sandler movies.
Loved that movie when i was a teen. This and anger management were the only Sandler films i liked.
You won’t some coffee ☕️ back there 😂 🚌
I remember watching the movie in the cinema. I remember my dad said everyone in the room was Israeli (though probably most actually were, and we are too), so we all probably got the references made throughout the movie. I spoke with other Middle Easterners about the movie over the years and it seemed fairly popular with them too
My dude is in a desert dying of thirst. This thousand year dry spell is killing him.
13:40 That dude is Robert Smeigel ?. Anyway, he's the guy who does Triumph The Insult Comic Dog. Hilarious.
Top Adam Sandler movies to me are
1. Grown Ups
2. WaterBoy
3. Don’t Mess With the Zohan
4. Longest Yard
5. Grown Ups 2
6. Big Daddy
7. Mr. Deeds
8. Click
Good video love this video ❤
Jarritos soda is probably the closest you can find to "Fizzy Bubeleh"
Raven lol silly hehe
FINAAALLLLY IVE BEEN PRAYING FOR THISS OMG
We need this movie now more than ever. Just being able to take a shitty situation and find the good in it.
One of the greatest opening fight scenes in all of cinema
The homeless guy was the director and one of the writers dennis Dugan. The guy doing most of the talking in the office was Chris Farleys brother John. And the guy who was going to blowup the puppies was Dave Matthew's.
he killed that roll fr
This one is probably my favourite Adam Sandler movie. Great to just switch your mind off to. Only one that comes close for me is the wedding singer.
Mello is thirsty today.
You'll love Lethal Weapon
50 first dates is my favorite.
