Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby Movie Description:
NASCAR superstar Ricky Bobby (Will Ferrell) is at the top of his game; adored by fans, a trophy wife by his side, and incredible wealth. But Ricky loses it all when French Formula One champion Jean Girard (Sacha Baron Cohen) roars onto the scene. Ricky, with the help of his ruthless father, must pull himself out of the depths of despair and restore his honor on the racetrack.
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is a 2006 American sports comedy film directed by Adam McKay and starring Will Ferrell, written by both McKay and Ferrell. Other actors include John C. Reilly, Sacha Baron Cohen, Gary Cole, Michael Clarke Duncan, Leslie Bibb, Jane Lynch, and Amy Adams, and appearances by Saturday Night Live alumni. NASCAR drivers Jamie McMurray and Dale Earnhardt Jr. have cameos, as do broadcasting teams from NASCAR on Fox (Mike Joy, Larry McReynolds and Darrell Waltrip) and NASCAR on NBC (Bill Weber, Wally Dallenbach Jr. and Benny Parsons).

Whats Your Favorite Will Ferrell Movie?
Please Share And Like The Video...
Honestly? This one, followed by Stranger Than Fiction and the two Anchorman movies.
This is my favorite followed by Step Brothers then Semi-Pro
This one, followed by Elf and the a tie with Anchorman and Stepbrothers
This one, Eurovision Song Contest, Step Brothers, Blades Of Glory, Zoolander, The Other Guys, Elf, Stranger Than Fiction & both Anchorman movies.
Old School/Anchorman
“DONT YOU PUT THAT EVIL ON ME RICKY BOBBY!!” RIP dude
Still one of my most quoted moments from this EXTREMELY quotable movie! Rest In Peace!
May he rest in paradise one hell of a man and an actor
“YOU ARE NOT PARALYZED” 😂😂
He did a lot of good movies. One I now that remember the most he did was the green mile
Fun fact: The "invisible fire" bit is based on a thing that really happens. Ethanol/methanol burns blue and is very difficult to see in daylight. Invisible fires happened a few times in Formula 1 and NASCAR races, you can probably find videos on youtube.
That's really interesting because I used to think that scene was really contrived, but it turns out that I just don't know jack squat about racing 😂
Was gonna say this if I didn't find it.
@@cangrejopendejo4909 i’m pretty sure top fuel drag cars use nitrometh fuel, and when it burns the fire is fully invisible as well.
@@JesusOfPaign yes the flames are infrared and not visible to human eye. You may see some heat warping like on a hot car but that's it
I never knew
The funniest part about this movie is that at my church we had die hard NASCAR fans. Older individuals. They all got dolled up, had dinner, and went to see this movie thinking it was about NASCAR. Come Sunday morning I heard someone ask how the movie was and one guy, with the sternest of stern faces, looks the questioner in the eye. "That WAS NOT a movie about NASCAR " I laughed so hard
Somebody asked Christopher Nolan in an interview what his “remote drop” movie was (if you’re scrolling through channels, you see a movie and you drop the remote and watch it)…and Nolan said Talladega Nights. Such a hilariously awesome movie.
Mine was Step Brothers. Never not regretted a decision more in my life.
Fun reaction! Favorite Will Ferrell movie - "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" with "Step Brothers" a close second.
You should check out Semi-Pro. That shit was hilarious, really underrated comedy IMO. I feel like a lot of people just missed it, but it's great.
"I'm Ricky Bobby. If you don't chew Big Red than f*ck you." Such a classic and hilarious line 😂
That kid's delivery of "One a you turds is 'bout ta git smacked in the mouth!" is still to this day one of the funniest things I've ever heard and breaks me every time I hear it.
Bro, you are absolutely crushing these reactions and your edits are top notch. Hands down my new favorite movie reaction channel. 👊🏻
So much yes to this comment.
Bruh, what I’m saying. Mell’s the best.
ABSOLUTELY..!!!
When this movie came out, I watched Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly being interviewed on CNN’s Larry King Live completely in character. In addition to being really funny, it totally illustrated just how fantastic their improvisational skills were, and the total command that they had of those characters. They are a completely brilliant comedy duo. And I also loved the fact that, prior to this film, Reilly was mostly known for serious roles in The Perfect Storm and Chicago.
It was great that Michael Clarke Duncan got the chance to do some comedy before he passed. Wished he'd done some more
He was hilarious in Armageddon.
That dinner table scene is hilarious. "I'm gonna come at you like a spider monkey" 😂
Man, the commentary from the uncensored version was arguably funnier than the actual movie. I certainly liked listening to it more.
Highlander IS the greatest movie ever made! Where else can you find a Frenchman playing a Scotsman, a Scotsman playing an Egyptian playing a Spaniard, and an American playing a Russian, all to a soundtrack by Queen? Just don't ever watch the sequels. No, really, don't. Ever.
Agreed. Especially don't EVER watch Highlander 2. That whole movie was one giant WTF moment after the next. Even the redone Renegade version wasn't much better.
I love Highlander, it’s a classic for sure. I think the second one is fun if you don’t take it seriously though. 😁
The Michael Clarke Duncan part of the gag reel at the end is hilarious! Can't stop laughing.
Can't beat Highlander. 'There can be only one.'
Should have been only one too. God those sequels are terrible.
@@alucard624 Agreed, although I have heard the show was alright, but I didn't watch it
The show starts out being “Immortal of the week” but finds its own way as it goes along. It was good and expanded the lore greatly without making it weird like the movie sequel did.
The comment section on all these reactions has so many people just be conversational and nice to each other. More than almost any other I've ever seen.
It's great! Thank you!
This one and Walk Hard are def classics for me : P
Maaaan Walk Hard is SO underrated!
YESSSS
And Blades of glory
1 of the most quotable comedies I've ever seen . Fun facts:
1. Gary Cole (Ricky's Dad) has reprised his role in Dodge commercials, driving with Texas Ranger .
2. Unfortunately, the actor who played Walker committed suicide in March . R.I.P. to him & Michael Clarke Duncan .
3. There is a song & dance called "Do The Ricky Bobby" that came out in 2009 (?) .
Mello I swear I’ve never seen you laugh so much, if you loved this flick you’ll love “step brothers” will farrel and John c Riley are one of the best comedy duos of all time
Now this is why I'm subscribed. You don't watch just the same stuff every other channel does; you find unique movies that I love but don't see anyone else bothering with.
You need to watch Blades of Glory with Will Ferrel!
I highly recommend "Land of the Lost". Not for fans of the Sid & Marty Kroftt series of the same name, but for fans of Will Ferrell who are familiar with said series.
Replacing his kids with a grown ass pair of strangers is confusing, but the movie has some truly funny as hell bits in it.
Yeah that movie took a big dump all over the original Land of the Lost and basically just became an excuse for Ferrell and Danny McBride to be dumbasses as usual. It was funny in parts though. McBride cracks me up most of the time so that helps. Glad to see him do more serious stuff though and the fact he's one of the writers of the new Halloween films is pretty awesome.
Before this, Days of Thunder was the official movie of NASCAR. This is now the official movie of NASCAR.
They have an official movie for real?
This and the original Anchorman are my two favorite Will Farrell movies 😂😂😂
I’m liking you doing comedy. You keep reacting to movies I haven’t seen in a while and they are nostalgic and it’s great!
The “I like to think of Jesus like, with giant eagles’ wings and singin’ lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with like an Angel Band, and I’m in the front row, and I’m hammered drunk!” Line I quite oftenly my with dad and we laugh all the time from it. This film and Step Brothers is peak comedy cinema of a duology both starring Farrell and Riley.
What has 99 teeth and an IQ of 300?
Anchorman, Step Brothers, Elf…are some of my favorites
Mello is literally becoming my favorite person😂
The scene where he was blindfolded and drives into the house, was filmed in my neighborhood in Gastonia, NC. There are some other scenes that were done around here as well. It was fun seeing everything setup for those few weeks.
Top ten Will Ferrell movie.
Fun Fact: If you think product placement was out of hand, please don't disparage this movie all that much. Wonder Bread, Old Spice, and Perrier were not charged for their product placement in the movie. Old Spice and Wonder Bread promoted the movie through back-end deals, while Perrier was not required to take any action despite its presence in the movie. In addition, Ferrell showed up to many public appearances in his Wonder Bread uniform at no additional charge to the company. Other product placements shown in the movie were: Powerade, Coca Cola, Domino's, Nextel, Nascar, Valvoline, Budweiser, Lowe's, Ford, Sprint, Applebee's, Good Year, and Fig Newton.
Any Will Ferrell/Adam McKay production is darn freaking funny! And when they add John C. Reilly in there, it's even better. I'm still waiting for them to make another movie together, since Anchorman 2, but McKay has been busy making Academy Award nominated films with ridiculously A-list actors, but I imagine they'll work together again at some point. Too much gold to be missed there.
They collaborated on that godawful Holmes and Watson and that's likely why they haven't done anything else together in awhile considering how stupid and unfunny that movie was. I mean, Ferrell's films are not exactly high brow entertainment to start with but that film was hands down the worst thing he's ever done. Even Casa de mi padre was funnier than that.
Now you gotta see the late Michael Clark Duncan in "See Spot Run", it's hilarious! Also, This was my introduction to Will Ferrell as an 8 year old ironically the next film of his I'd watch would be "Curious George". Great flick, & I felt the scene where Reese pokes holes into his own "if you ain’t first you're last" logic taught me that second place is nothing to sneeze at either.
If you haven't watched it, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story is a must, some of John C Reileys best work
I would love to see more reactions to 80´s & 90´s movies.
2:14 I love Gary Cole. He's just great. I never know when he's gonna pop up in a movie but it's always a treat.
This is one of the few comedies that manages to have an unironically good ending while also keeping up the comedy right to the end.
Most comedies either get too serious, or too dumb in the last 30 minutes, but this one nails both sides of the spectrum through and through. Not just my favorite comedy, but one of my personal top 10 films in general.
It's like the American _Hot Fuzz._
Damn, the American Hot Fuzz. That is a great take.
I'm not a huge fan of Will Ferrell myself but I did enjoy his performances in Talladega Nights and Megamind. If you haven't seen it and get a chance, Megamind is worth a watch👍
My all time best Will Ferrell movie..this movie is comedic gold times 1000. We all know we the fans of this movie have quoted it for yrs..If you ain't first, your last.
Will Ferrell and John C. Reily both have a good acting chemistry in Step Brother and this movie
Old school, Anchor man and Step brothers. All great!
I am so happy you’re watching this one!! This is my dad’s favorite movie. He always says “if you ain’t first, you’re last”. 😂 it’s such a stupid movie but in the best way (obviously). Your reactions are always so fun! Never stop!
I wish I could remember who it was but years ago there was a boxer giving an interview who started moving his hands til they were up next to his face like Ricky's first interview. He held them like that for a minute before grinning at the camera and dropping them back to his sides. 🤣
This is one of my favorite will Ferrell movies. I appreciate the reaction Mello. Keep doing them. What I’m shocked about : Amy Adams did this role after Catch me if you can and Junebug and I was like “who is this woman?!” … now she’s a 5 time Oscar nominee… TALENTED
True story whenever he was running around saying the fire was burning him when there was no fire, that actually happened but it was with the fuel in NASCAR. They couldn't see the Flames because of the type of fuel but it was burning the entire crew
REST IN PEACE AND REST IN POWER MICHAEL CLARKE DUNCAN...WHAT A LEGEND
You're the best Mellverse, doing things you don't have to but just because your viewers might have questions 😂 keep up the great reviews!
Its amazing how dramatic the second half is! But the tone doesn't make it feel way!
My Dog just threw up somebodys Finger ! Most random Line ever. I LOVE IT ! I was wheezing
There actually are fires that can happen while racing that are essentially invisible. It happens when they use alcohol instead of gas.
Your editing is getting so damn good man. On point. You always entertain and make me laugh. LETS GOOOOOOO
You gotta watch The Campaign🤣🤣🤣Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis are too good🤣🤣🤣
God, I love your channel so much. I'm reliving so many movies I used to love but hadn't seen in years and years, and watching you experience them for the first time gives them so much new life. Thank you. I might have never actually watched this movie again if not for you, and that'd literally be a tragedy
"it's time to go home to Jesus" hahaha also I love how his house was actually haunted
I've been waiting for this one 🤣
You’re the best movie reactor in the whole Gwinnett County, as a UA-camr of over 10 years I’ve wanted to react to videos, doing a good job.
Those kids had the Best character Development arcs EVER lol
Broooo, your channel is blowing up man!
So proud of you man, keep killing it out here and having fun doing it 🔥🔥🔥
Killer movies lately. And Highlander is awesome in its own unique way.
I was inspired by this movie indeed, but for the line "Please be 18".
I always laugh the most when you put yourself in the movie scene, and always a good spot.

Great reaction! My favorite Will Ferrell movie is Semi-Pro. Here we go Steelers here we go!
Great reaction as always bro! This movie has parts where I was laughing until my sides hurt!
My all-time favorite movie. Can quote this and Napoleon dynamite 😂
Bro you’re killing it with the content lately.
I don’t think there was even a thirty second stretch between laughs on this movie. I literally could not breathe for half the movie. I think this and Ace Ventura, When Nature Calls are the two funniest movies I’ve ever seen.
great choice man! xD this movie is a classic to me. And absolutely next level on the really weird and random quotes
Don't you stick that knife in you're leg...😂😂😂😂
Just recently saw Semi Pro. Forgot how hilarious it was. That one and Step Brothers for sure. Keep up the great work man. 👍
MAN YOUR LAUGHS ARE PRICELESS!!!!!🤣🤣🤣
Nice review. Enjoyed watching it with you.
Yesss, I've been waiting for this movie :D
You have a GREAT LAUGH!!!!!!! I always Love all of your shows, but especially this one!
It's honestly hard to believe the John C Reily that was in Gangs of New York is the same one in this movie. Not only can he handle serious roles well, he has the ability to be batshit wacky in comedies. His work as Dr. Steve Brule is surreal.
Wicked good job Brah! Thank you!
You should watch The Campaign. Such an underrated Will Ferrell movie 😩
The young actor who played Walker (Ricky's older son) shot himself earlier this year
RIP Houston Tumlin
Loved the reaction! Hilarious household classic!!!
Awesome Work Bro and Awesome Movie 👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
This and Pixar's Cars make a nice silly yet heartwarming double feature
Oh shit New Chair.
MEEEEEELLLLLLLLOOOOOOO IN DA BUILDING
Loving the comedy reactions
Anchorman : The Legend Of Rob Burgundy, trust me
Naw man, the, "what up." Still laughing.
Love the Steelers shirt and your channel brother 💯👍👍
You should check out Days of Thunder... Tom Cruz... Interestingly John C. Riley is also in that film.
I was an extra in this movie with my parents. My mom won pit passes off the radio. We watched this final scene about 40 times. Good times. Even went to the opening night premiere at the Dega dollar theatre. I do not care for Will Ferrell, but this was a good time.
Thanks for the information now shut the f up
@@Radozdam Did you come up with that all by yourself, or did you need your Mommy to help?
@@kingpropane705 it's just an advice, relax
Best scene in this reaction was you sitting in the back seat with Ricky n the cougar. Shit had me dying. Lmfao!
Okay... when the big wreck at the end started and it was going to go to commercial, I actually got an ad.
Much luv from Indiana ✊🏾
Awesome video. Never seen this movie but definitely had some funny moments.
First time seeing your channel, I laughed so hard when his dad got the tickets and immediately went to sell them and you said this man ain't shit.........you earned my sub sir.
Love how they use two Sepultura classics (Desperate Cry & Inner Self) in this movie
