Couldnt tell the angle exactly, but the charge at the begining with the boss you likely dont need to do dangerous terrain for going through the forest, it looks like you might have a straight charge without touching the forest and you are not required to maximise if it could make you have a failed charge, also clipping the forest anyways would be during the charge move after you already established your charge distance

Fabulous game and I love seeing a green skin win as it helps me with my mental health issues 😂 I love how the Goblin war chief came out killing a spider and then had to go back home for his dinner before his mother would tell him off as well as his wanting a cup of tea to get over the exertion of it all, personally I would have to have a lay down afterward as well. Brilliant game everyone 🎉😂 I blame that pump wagon for dangerous driving as if it thought it was playing Gorkamorka 😂😂😂
Spirit of the game, Fanatics should definitely be munched on by crazed squigs.
RAW, even though "A Fanatic model cannot be charged, targeted or attacked in any way", when a squig herd explodes "every unit (friend or foe) within 2D6" of it
suffers XYZ". The fanatic is not being targeted or attacked, it's suffering hits.
But the initial reading is correct anyway because it's fun. Squigs explode, chaos ensues, fanatics gets eaten, cue laughter!
This was a lot of fun to watch!
And I absolutely agree with your thoughts on Fanatics- sure, if they get lucky they can cause a lot of damage, but with some patience and careful play you can mostly get around them and once you do the rest is just goblins.

Awesome batrep, the real question is are fanatics affected by other friendly (or not) fanatics? what if one fanatic moves through another - do they hit each other? which is resolved first? The wording is "suffers hits" but does this count as being attacked?

You cant use Glowy Green Amulet against Foot of Gork. Foot of Gork is a vortex and does not target the unit.

Even rules as written (or intended I guess) I think squigs CAN hit fanatics. The "squigs go wild" rule makes no explicit reference to them "attacking" anything. Only the "oddball stuff (shooting)" makes reference to "some attacks" hitting automatically. The squig rule is a rule, not a shooting attack, that hits all units within range. Fanatics are certainly a unit - they have their own muster entry. That said I don't agree with Luca saying "what does your gut tell you". 10 guts will tell you 11 different things, and most of those things will usually be wildly off the mark. If it works for Luca sure, he can do that. Steve has it right: I'd not want enforce it that way - unless between friends.

If there was an "or damaged" clause in there I would be on the other side of the fence, but there isn't

From a flavor perspective, I think that fanatics shouldn't be hurt by squig deaths. The idea is that the fanatics are a whirling circle of death and destruction to the point that nothing can get close. Either the enemy bounces or the fanatic does. Thus, only templates or a mistake that whacks them with their own ball can kill them.
Now, a squig does all hits by jumping on a foe and shredding them. Death lets them do it even faster. But a fanatic is whirling too fast for anything to get through, meaning that the ball of teeth and flesh gets smacked like a cartoon character off into the distance. Team Squig is blasting off again!
Quick rules question: at 8:41 Luka says that fanatics die if you roll doubles and a direct hit? I can't find that part about the direct hit in any of the rulebooks. Could you clarifiy that for me? ❤

I'd say playing with dolls/action figures is denotationally correct, but connotationally debatable. Wargaming implies more structure and a more cerebral hobby that a child playing with toys. Though given the armies on show this time, that may be a strong counter argument to this stance.
Besides squigs, what other units and spells can do AoE splash damage (in reference to fanatics)
How you guys decided that when the rules tell you to "move a model in a random direction" you should replace that language with "scatter a model" I do not follow.

Interesting. What is the mathhammer on the "real life" situation? Ie the dragon attacks first, generic rider, and stomps after it survives? How much would the linehammer elves lose combat by?

Of course it is much worse, usually the Dragon will do the charging and will do it from min. 3" away. So will go first, incl. the Lord. Against Swordmasters likely the Lord will go first, then the Swordmasters, then the Dragon, but they have less punch than the Dragon. Against WL both Lord and Dragon will go first. The only option I see right now for SM/WL or any other Elite Infantry to win combat is Ethereal, Plague of Rust (if played like -2 -2 -2 as discussed in the FAQ video - RAW it technically reduces all 3 saving throws and thereby the best spell in the game) or a specific Spectral Doppelganger kit, betting on your Mage not being cut down first.....
too many variables also with other defensive gear like bedazzling helmet, Nurgle etc. But as of now it looks like, doesn't matter what you shove your dragon into, it is going to win combat. Anything like a +3 Ranks Horde with +D3 combat Res Banner that actually might win combat despite taking heavy casualties, the dragon wouldn't want to engage in and just fly over and eat something else.
BTW. Everyone is talking Swordmasters down, I think they are still excellent. They are still the most fragile of Glascannon. But the introduction of Fury of Khaine (+1A) at only 9+ would have broken them at that points cost, if they still had 2 Attacks. You can still argue with Walk between Worlds even with 1 Attack they are broken. They will go first or at least same time against most chargers. When you are in charge distance to another unit, you can just ignore the risky charge (SM charge distance 6-11) potentially leaving them in a shitty position - if failed. Just March them up to 1" of the opponents unit instead of charging. What are they gonna do??? They would only get +1 I Cav can use their lance, but will not go first. And will be slaughtered with Cleaving Blow and AP-2
inf will only get I+1 bonus, no Impact hits at that distance dear Ogres...
But also the unit cannot move fully out of your arc. So next turn you have a guarenteed charge and kill them badly with no, or little hits back.... So, screening your SMs is likely going to be very important. From shooting etc. then you don't even need to charge, just move the screening Reavers out of the way and shove the SMs 1" in front of the unit the really didn't want you the SMs to charge.
Linehammer had zero impact on Brawlers Bash this past weekend. I did go 10 wide with CWs with the banner of rage and great weapons and slap a STANK with the demonology spell that gives +1A +1S +1AP

Hitting on 4+ 60->30
Wounding on 5+ (S5 vs. T6) 30->10
Piercing Armour on 4+ (2+ & AP -2) 10->5
Regen 5+ 5->3.3
Ward 5+ 3.3 ->2.2 Wounds
White Lions 60x1:
Hitting on 4+ 60->30
Wounding on 4+ (S6 vs. T6) 30->15
Piercing Armour on 5+ (2+ & AP -3) 15->10
Regen 5+ 10->6.67
Ward 5+ 6.67->4.5 Wounds
So on average you need 120 White Lion Attacks to kill the dragon. And this is calculated without the Dragon going first and the character and without stomps.

Bret lance says considered to be in BASE TO BASE. One base is the brets... and the other is the enemy. 2 bases are needed in contact to have BASE TO BASE.
