He isn't loyal to his own native people, land and culture; why would he be loyal to those of others? So sad.

Wow that line 'view fit for a billionaire' is kind of disgusting within this context. It's like saying it's too good for the natives. They don't deserve to have and enjoy it.
That's not what he meant but that's how I thought at first.

I’m sorry but the people who are saying “ohh well he bought it, blah blah blah.” Can just be quite because these lands that our kupuna bought or had to fight for, is amazing. These lands that are to be passed down from our kupuna to us is priceless and no amount of money can change that. People need to understand that you can’t just come and buy land with so much moʻolelo behind it or even a family lineage with out a fight. We are kanaka maoli and we’re not going anywhere. Just because you have all this money doesn’t mean anything. It’s sad that people are more about the money instead of showing aloha. You have to actually paying attention to what your doing to us as people. If you don’t agree then I’m sorry but atleast take the time out of your day and educate yourself on our history, don’t fight just understand where we’re coming from.

My point exactly. These colonizers think that buy spending the debt instruments called federal reserve notes they have a claim on indigenous people's land. He should be taken to world court because the indigenous people have a right to their land. So sorry this is happening to you. It too has happened to my people as well as brainwashing. Many of the copper colored people here in the Americas north, south and central believe that the foreigners were here first. Sad to see my people spit on the continent which is ours and relinquish their birthright because of the thought that we are not the true inhabitants. We are all family just divided and conquered. I hope the best for you all.💖 P.S. read the Doctrine of Discovery as well.

There is an organization in Costa Rica that is buying up land for their people and not building on it. Just leaving it to nature and they have made great changes. It is time for Hawaii to gather resources and no profit to get back and fight for your land. Make a stipulation that they cannot ever sell that land to anyone who is not Hawaiian or you can just leave the land bare for the animals and nature to come back to life. Thailand you must be Thai.

Lets not forget the water that runs through his land and now they have to pay for it. Hawaiians have to pay for water that was free until Zuckerberg took over.

Disgraceful. Time for the natives to take that land back by force. Make sure Suckerberg knows he is not allowed to land on the island.

Zuckenberg was so preoccupied with the fact he could buy the land, he didn't stop to think if he should. Do what is right Mr.Zuckenberg.

One thing that is really unfair about the law is that it is usually written to protect buyers more so than ”rightful owners”. They would have been in a way better position to prevent the purchase than now because he already signed the deed and has taken over the ownership. They would have a stronger case against the kin who sold the property without giving them their fair say in whether or not to sell and they need to look into retrieving their rightful share of the proceeds if there is any.

always the people with the most money are the most stupid and ignorant! That land belongs to the natives, it is theirs, all the damage they have caused them is not enough, they still strip them of what their ancestors left them! What disgust does money cause when they use it to steal property of others disgust

the media isn't going to show all the Hawaiian natives being forced off their land. Of course they'll only show the rich Caucasians so you don't feel bad for them.

700 acres Is A HUGE chunk Concidering how much of Kauai is actually inhabitable.
Just because (some) white people have lost touch with the meaning of family and ancestry, DOSENOT mean all people's have forgotten their ancestry.
I can admire Mark (yes, I am poised to unleash Huge disrespect for yet another wht corporate...) for all he has done at such a tender age.
It is easy to take advantage of well meaning people who are more focused on family values and so not inclined to watch out for those who can take advantage..simply because they can afford legal counsel and buy off city/gov official. But it is a far nobler thing to rise from punk high school kid to that of a king. And nobler still for that selfmade king to lift the lowly rather than force them to bow lower than your shadow.
THIS white man joins his voice with the ancestry of HI..if they will allow me.
Mark, do the right thing because it is the right thing to do. Just because it might be 'legal, doesn't make it right.
    I'll be watching.
