I was diagnosed with diverticulitis and other Colon problems. Doc wanted to perform a bowl reconstruction to remove a large portion of my intestines along with advising me to eat more plants and take Metamucil fiber. Did my research and began a meat based diet. No need now for surgery!!
REALLY?!?! I have recurring diverticulitis and it doesn’t seem as though carnivore is helping me. Doc wants to do surgery as well because I keep getting it! How are you doing now? Thank you!!!🙏🏻
Our son (11 now) was diagnosed with T1 diabetes just before his 10th birthday. I'm a pharmacist and believed what I was taught. After my son's diagnosis, I started researching carbs, American standard diet, the low fat concept...well this led me to big pharma and what a joke 80% of my education was. You're spot on. Thank you!!!!
My son is 7 and type 1 for last 2 years. I believe hugely in Dr Cwyes yet I’m afraid to go against the BS we are being bed by medics- here in Ireland. It’s shocking really 🙁
I loved ” mine’s in a bucket somewhere!” comment🤣🤣🤣 I’m a GI nurse and I quietly tell my patients the truth about Keto/ Carnivor diets. I write down Dr Ken Berry, Dr Cywes and Diet Doctor for them to do their homework. I wish my GI docs would do the same homework😞
Would have saved me alooong time, and a lot of doctor visits if I’d had you as a nurse. Totally insane this isn’t the standard treatment for gut problems.
I get apoplectic every time I see these big pharma adds strategically placed with all the ketogenic tutorials! Stalera can kiss my ass! I’m 76 and have been keto for over 5 years and carnivore for the last three. I will never go back to the old habits! NEVER FELT BETTER🙏
Fuck big pharma and our government for all the lies they have been pushing on all of us for years! Time for folks to wake up to what the hell has been going on! All about the MONEY!!! I'm 72 and only go to Dr every 6 months for a BP check. Dr keeps trying to push statins on me because my cholesterol is "14" points higher then what the "medical" profession calls for. Last visit the NP tried again to push the meds on me, then she looked at me and said " your not going to take them are you?" My reply was "NOPE!" Enough said!!!
I am 77 years young, and I have read many articles on the guts and much research on the guts. Never in one of them it says fibers are not good for you. Who do we believe???????
My mother died from fiber. She was 90 years old She was still gardening and swimming but she believed in any vegetables. Your gut slows down motility and so all that fiber developed a blockage.. they had to operate to remove it... And that really septis inside of her she was dead with him a few days.
THANK YOU for your courage. I'm a functional medicine practitioner whose own health went to H-E double hockey sticks in a handbasket because of 53 years of high carbs. I'm outraged that I've been telling my patients for years the wrong thing regarding diet. I'm now a carnivore newby, 3 weeks in, 11 pounds down and feeling pretty awesome (and I'm not hangry anymore) . God thank you for humbling me again so I can start to help my patients with REAL information.
I think it would have been better for you to have kept that to yourself. All a reader has to do to initiate disciplinary action after having seen that, is sending in the Shawn Baker story.. Most of them have nothing to lose..
I was just diagnosed with diverticulitis. I was in the worst pain that landed me in the ER. I spent two days researching this terrible disease. 90 percent was all about plant, vegan food. I left vegansim over 3 years ago. And was extremely ill . So I know for a fact that ain't the answer. My research brought me to you!! Thank the Lord!! I'm now going to o start a carnivore diet🙏🙏🙏
Im with ya ! I was a raw vegan for 5 years. It almost destroyed my entire body back, eating nothing but meat since April, and I'm stronger than ever. You will bounce back it takes time
I had it all and ate lots of clean vegetables, plants, fruits, meats, supplements, made my own smoothies. It all failed me. Went all meat and 30 days into it I had so much relief. I can tell you that it took a while to get my stomach acid to normal range after getting it all alkalized and messed up with too many plants. After I got my stomach acid good it only got better. No liquids before eating or after for a while and that is what helped the most. I’m now close to 3 years into all meat diet and I’ve tried many times to re-introduce plants, fruits, nuts. Anyways my body doesn’t want them. I can say getting my breast implants fully removed along with the scar tissue was a huge help as well. I did that a little after a year into this way of eating. Also my house had a little mold we found by accident and getting that cut out and removed also made a big difference. Molds can be a big part of the problem it’s very common especially in HVAC units and vents
This Doc is the GOLD STANDARD of information, how to cure yourself. I had incurable Cancer 7 years ago, some of his information put me on the correct direction. My cancer tumors, were gone in 9 days. (after I was in Ketosis and FASTING for 12-24 Hrs once or twice a week) I was suffering with the GUT problem and PAIN everyday for the last 15 years. Many spasm and the pain was on the scale of 7 like an Ice-pick stabs 24 hrs a day. Keto CURED my cancer but the gut issue remained. 20 days ago, I finally started Carnivore diet and now, NO PAIN, NO CONSTIPATION ! I feel better but not cured yet as he said.... it will take years. I agree. Those bullshit leafy vegetable in Keto diet too, was not helpful at all. On occasions I do eat some carbs to wake up the insulin process. That I discovered myself before seeing his video. So, it's not a big deal to eat some cooked but COOLED potato that changed it's chemical composition. Not gonna be used by the body as a warm or hot potato. Read up on that. I eat only ORGANIC FOOD of the BEST quality and you should do the same... don't touch anything but ORGANIC. BTW I never eat out in restaurants, food is full of pesticide and toxic and questionable hygienic. On the carnivore diet, I eat the same thing everyday and I love it. It's ground Pork, for fat and flavor, and ground beef mixed. Lots of olive oil and crock pot or slow cooked with chopped onion and garlic in it. I also ad my combo spices for 1Lb of Pork (ground) and 2 Lb of beef (ground) the following: 1/4-TSP of: Chili Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper, Cumin, Coriander, Garlic Powder, Hungarian-Paprika, Cajun, or New Orleans pepper, or Creole Pepper... and 2 TSP of Turmeric powder. And SALT to taste, lots of it. maybe 1Tsp or 1.5 Tsp Add 1/2 to 1 cup of Olive Oil and/or Chicken broth. I add both and make sure it covers the meat in the pot. You need all the fat and oil. I store in small jars all this while it's little warm. For a meal reheat a small jar and eat it out of the jar, no need to plate it... we're in the hurry always, right? Haha Some time I add 1 tsps of ACV (apple sider vinegar) and mix it with the warm food. On occasion a 1 TB of Sour cream and or both. It has a nice flavor. How about some home made croutons from a POTATO Bread? A few pieces would not hurt at all and the texture is something we all miss :) Experiment,... use spices you want, but never omit the Hot peppers especially the Cayenne and Chili peppers. You may want to look up this pepper combo : SLAP YER MOMA... a Cajun mix and SUPER hot ! Buy it on-line or your market. You will be shocked how GOOD this taste. Please ignore the spelling and bad structure of my post. Created to satisfy the the "Word-Nazis" who will point out all the mistakes... gotta keep DEM happy :)
When I was 10 yrs old I had the worst intestinal cramps.I was in a lot of pain. When I moved back east and lived with my grandparents, There diet was plain meat and veg and no process food it all went away
Oh my WORD~ you are absolutely describing what my beloved husband is dealing with~ wow! I've been researching & reading everything I can get my eyes on. We certainly haven't resorted to anything beyond occasional Pepto, but I'd be willing to bet that if I track it for a week or two, I'll see a direct correlation between the days we have a little veg, or a couple of higher fiber protein bars. We've been low carb for years, & for the last year, under 20 total & moving into mostly carnivore~ mainly because we just feel better. Even just thinking back a few days, I can see where his bouts of cramping, running to the loo every couple hours~ have been days where fiber was up, rather than just meat those days. This amazing guy next to me in the thumbnail is finally retired~ after spending almost four decades taking care of everybody else around him~in the USCG, coordinating search & rescue, taking care of his staff of hundreds, his family. It is my mission to continue to seek optimum health & wellness, along with quality of life for this guy. Which is why I will search a matter out, & do whatever it takes to make that a reality. He's now off of all "GERD" meds, & finally ditched the evil statin the doctors put him on a few yrs back. Anyhow, don't mean to ramble. Really just wanted say THANK YOU~ we are grateful beyond words to have access to so much critical information, & folks like yourself who so willingly share your own expertise. May your efforts continue to be blessed, every footstep, every breath~ Daniel & Samantha Whitson/AZ/USA
Hey Samantha, thank you so much for sharing your story and your husband's improved health. This video is just amazing. I've been dealing with poor gut health my entire 65 years, and worsening over the past 5 years. I'm so happy for you, and your hubs is lucky to have you looking out for him! Take care.
Wow, share this video folks! People need to hear what the Doc is trying to teach us! I M 71 AND NO ONE has said anything about this BECAUSE they don't make repeat patient visits and pharmaceutical kick backs if we are informed and change our ways! Health and big dang hugs!
Yep! I am 72 and I believe the same thing! I have avoided the "wellness test" seniors are forced to take once a year for the past 5 years. I don't think it's any of the governments business if I have steps or throw rugs in my house! If I have help cooking or cleaning my house. Love all the Doctors that are finally speaking out on the BS the pharmaceutical company's and medical "system" has been doing to us for eons!! God bless the honest Doctors!🙏💕
I spent years suffering through tests and so called “remedies” for my gut. Once I became keto I have never felt better. I can’t digest veggies so I mainly eat meat, eggs and other keto foods. Now I know I am not crazy…there is a reason it worked! Thank you for such an amazing scientific explanation. ❤
Many years ago, my GP started me on Pantoloc for severe GERD. As a nurse working in LTC, I admit my eating habits were not the best. Putting in long hours and working under constant pressure since the start of Covid, continuously working short staffed, and eating a very unhealthy diet took its tole on my health. I had become overweight and diabetic and suffered an episode of extreme stomach pain that brought me to the ER. I was on sick leave for 3 months and the doctors never found out what had caused my pain. That's when I decided to take things into my own hands. I immediately started cutting cards and ditched the Pantoloc after reading an article on the severe side effects it can produce. My GP never warned me about this, and I had been on this PPI for many years. With the help of AVC, it took all of 3 weeks for my GERD to go away. After a few months of eating keto meals and adding more meat to my diet, I was living pain free and even reversed my diabetes.
Brilliant! Everything you’ve said in this video is the truth. I’m living proof of this. Before going Keto 3 years ago and now I’m mostly carnivore. I had nightmare IBS, I had diarrhea daily, sometimes all day. Had acid reflux so bad for years I had to sleep sitting up. Was on Prilosec for a long time. It’s taken 3 years for me to I’m going to say, heal my gut 80% It’s been a long road. I discovered vegetables cause the diarrhea to return and stress can bring it on. But most days I poop once a day. I will still get heartburn if a eat a bad food. But if I’m good, stick strictly to my carnivore. My gut is a happy camper. But one leafy green salad and I’m on the toilet. I don’t feel I’m completely healed after 3 years. Because I spent 58 years torturing my digestive tract and body. I feel I still have a ways to go with the healing process. But in this year alone my peripheral neuropathy has improved greatly. My elderly skin has thickened back up. My strength is amazing. I’m in this for the long haul, I will be Keto for the rest of my life.
Brilliant! Love you! I am a lean athletic 52 year old woman, retired, no stress, no pressure, live on the countryside in France, have my own veggie garden. Had sleeping problems and gaz, bloating and diarrhea since I was a todler. I do intermittend fasting since 2 years and whole food keto since 6 months, feel better, but still have the gut and sleep problems. I will try less veggies and see what happens.
Try NO veggies for a while. 30 days. NO carbs. My sleep got better for the first time in my life. I ate broccoli one night & was extremely gassy for several days. Then I ate everything bad at Thanksgiving & my sleep problems came back, until I got back on only Carnivore for a few days.
@@johnrpomeroy Hey! I would like to try, but I am afraid to lose my fiber digesting bacteria and then not be able to eat any veg ever again. I like veggie's. Only meat, eggs, cheese and yogurt gets boring to me. I have tried a few times for 3 days only. My sleep got worse. Can you still eat some veg? After how many days did your sleep improve?
I retired to Italy in 2021. Set about growing and eating artichokes, broccoli, tomatoes, aubergines, potatoes, salads, onions and garlic. Not to mention harvesting cherries, peaches, apples, plums and pears. After what I believe to be covid-induced diverticulitis in 2020, I was eating ketovore. Then the move to Italy and all that gardening! I landed in hospital with my second bout of diverticulitis brought on, I believe, by all that fabulous bounty. Gosh I was so smug growing my own fruit and veg, I completely forgot about ketovore and became more or less vegetarian. My husband thrives on a vegetarian diet, and has done for 40 years but, of course, I now had a compromised colon. Bam. My poor, scoured colon. A bout of diverticulitis that landed me in hospital. But I got better. Jan 2024 sees me catching covid again and right off the bat, I have another diverticulitis flare! That’s it, no more vegetable garden for me. I’m getting chickens and going carnivore.
Mind blown 🤯 I know intuitively everything about sibo, ibs, leaky gut etc was all bs. My gut was so bad I was diagnosed with “hashimoto disease”. I’ve stopped eating the standard American diet completely and started carnivore 3 months ago. My hashimoto is now in remission. My gut is feeling soooo much better. I’m not 100 yet but I have made so much progress in my healing journey. I never thought eating only meat would be so satiating. I have zero craving for carbs or sugar. I feel free from the addiction. I’m now a recovered sugar addict 😂 I will never look back. I owe myself this healing journey so I can age gracefully with a quality of life.
Had a colonoscopy recently and I have diverticulosis (which was pointed out from the previous one I had) Dr. told me to eat fiber rich foods. I said no, I'll still to my ketavore lifestyle. Pre keto I had digestive problems from top to bottom 😏 keto fixed that within 4 months. Thanks Dr. Cywes for this breakdown, always love these explanations.
I have a friend diagnosed with diverticulitis. I mentioned carnivore diet. She did research and found a list of diet treatments that listed both the carnivore diet and a high fiber diet as possibilities. She chose high fiber and takes extra fiber supplements. I found it interesting that two very different diets, as mentioned, were on the list.
I have SIBO, disbiosis and Candida overgrowth. I am so excited to start carnivore today. I am so hoping this can also help my breastfed baby. Thank you ❤❤
thank you Doctor for being there for us. whenever “they” are getting me feeling down and doubtful of my path I look for some of your videos to relieve my stress and calm me down. You are my anti-depressant. thank you 😀
WOW! This answered a question that I have had most of my adult life. I have been keto/Carnervior for almost 3 years. Obviously my nerves are not yet healed because I still have symptoms. I am looking forward to being completely healed!
Consultant had me on esomeprazole for 8 years. After going keto for 6 months and now mainly carnivore off them and no heartburn. Thankyou for this channel.
I am immensely enjoying binging out on your videos and am so appreciative that I found you! Hands down the most factual no BS channel in the entire Keto and Carnivore space! You honestly deserve 2M subs!
Wow, I love this guy. The passion! There’s no doubt in my mind that this doc, and Dr. Berry, and a host of others are going to turn the medical world back up on the right side. And the enemy is greed. Money over mankind.
Thank you Dr. Cheese (spell check, 😂) for all you have done for me. You have simply changed my life. I'm down 200 pounds in less than two years. Once I had the knowledge it is now impossible for me to gain weight unless it's a conscious decision to do so. Again, thank you for the KNOWLEDGE!!!!
The fish oil supplement you take in the morning is a supplement and you stated you get everything from eggs ( which is the best food choice ever). I agree cleaning up our nutrition will help the gut, that is why Functional Medicine practitioners start with the gut. We don't throw antibiotics at anything unless there is a parasite or infection. We focus on nutrition. We can all be on the same page with low carb, moderate protein and moderate healthy fats and no sugar or processed foods. Let's work together for our patients and not confuse them.
Oh my gosh, thank you for this video! I have been trying to tell people this, but of course since I am not a doctor, nobody will listen. I love that you talked about how we don’t have the ability to ferment food…this is something that is HARD for people to understand.
I absolutely loye you, dr CarbAddictionDoc :) It's been about 15 years as I've got a big problem with my gut. No cramps, no pains or whatsoever but diarrhea. I am so fed up of this. And you are the only one person who answered my question why! I am diabetic, I've got neuropathy. I'm on keto since 6th of June 22. I can already see a huge difference in my feet! It seems like the neuropathy is slowely giving up! I do hope it will be gone completly after some time. And now I've got hope for my gut to be healed. Thanks for that. God bless you :* :)
i spent 15 years in digestive hell. Mucus out my rump, horrible smell, cramping every day with very loose stools. not very socially acceptable to say the least. after a year of keto and exercise leaning towards carnivore, i no longer fear being around people and hoping they dont smell me. fairly normal stools, more energy and i like the food better any way (i love my bacon and eggs) good luck all. i wouldnt wish what i went through on my worst enemy.
Yeah just a bad odor from my digestive tract. I used powder, deodorant, even plastic underware to keep working amid the suffering. All to no avail. However, im much better after a year of ultra low carb/carnivore. A proctologist was no help by the way. Its amazing how metabolic syndrome can be so translucent to the general medical community
I am proof of this. I've had so many intestinal issues over the years because of T2D and changing to carnivore has really helped. No leafy veggies for me!
I was diagnosed with SIBO about 3 months ago! Guess what? After spending $800 on antibiotics, I still feel the same. Recently switched from keto to ketovore and starting to feel better. Thanks so much for this informative video!
Do you know which test you took , lactulose vs fructose vs glucose? My doc office is quoting me $300 for the test. My antibiotic maybe covered through my insurance.
This has to be the best explanation I've ever heard . Been carnivore for three years on and off . I've tried to reintroduce some vegetables and carbs at times with terrible results. Beef and eggs are the best thing for me and as long as I stay away from all veg or carbs I feel better than I did in my early twenties at age 50
By far one of the best simplified explanations I have heard to map out the complexity of the relationship between the gut, fatty acids, nervous system, T2D, and the toxic ingredients (processed food) we have been lulled into believing to be "human food". I have had many gut problems for years which are only now, after 3yrs low carb, beginning to subside and behave. SIBO or IBS-D was always the presumption, however it never fully made sense using the prebiotic/probiotic method to repopulate a bacterial environment we know almost nothing about, and it never really worked anyway. This Dr Cywes makes sense...thank you sir!
Just saw this video. Six weeks ago i was ill after a meal in a restaurant. Put it down to food poisoning but every time i felt better, id eat normally and back to square one. The only thing my stomach was happy with was meat, chicken, eggs and berries. I can now handle potatoe, greek yogurt and cheese. I now eat nothing else. I lost 5 inches off my waist and feel great. I am delighted to see these videos. Thank you.
Do you eat best quality grass fed, grass finished meat, free-range chicken/eggs, etc. or just the regular stuff you can buy at the supermarket? Thanks.
I’ve been watching a number of UA-cam creators in relation to Keto and Carnivore diets. I like to vary the content so I’m not in an echo chamber, which includes watching some vegan related videos. I appreciate your approach. Good old telling it how it is. You’ve got yourself a new subscriber!
THANK YOU , THANK YOU , THANK YOU for being a voice of reason in this space that is so full of opportunists to make money. I am one who has spent thousands, perhaps 10s on various protocols and potions for healing my gut - when you spelled out the truth so simply. ALSO - your reassurance that it may well take 1-2 years is HUGE; and it makes sense! I think in an effort to 'sell' carnivore/keto; seems like all the other you tube creators only tell dramatic stories of people who have reversed their GI issues overnight, or in a few weeks or months. This leads people like me to give up when we don't see those results; when we just need more time. I think divine intervention brought me here, b/c still struggling at 6 months, I was sucked in by Dr. Davis' "Super Gut", and about to order pricey probiotics to make yogurt. which of course needs a special temperature.. which makes buying a special yogurt maker tempting, then a $200 gadget to measure purported gasses in my breath.. you see where that is going. My voice of reason says introducing some lab made bacteria into my intestines is not necessary and probably not even good. If one wants to eat yogurt, making my own is a good idea ; but that can be done cheaply and easily on my counter.
Lol my sister is doing all of that now. I went carnivore and have been dealing with IBS but found that high salt helps me keep it in check. But it's good to know that it'll be 1-2 years to fix on this diet.
You don't need to spend buca bucks on a yogurt machine. I make yogurt in the instant pot. I use grass fed whole milk, stir in a quarter cup of good yogurt, put the lid on and press the yogurt button. Eight hours later I put a paper towel over the bowl with a lid into the fridge so the yogurt sets overnight. Then I strain the yogurt for three and a half hours to make Greek yogurt. You can easily make yogurt with an instant pot! :)
I wish I had this info about 3 years ago. I had horrible IBS and suffered way to long. I started Keto 3 months ago and within a week all for my symptoms went away. I never realized grains and carbs were my issue. I'm more ketovore at this point but I am thin and can't lose weight. Love these wonderful folks getting the message out.
@@miklimecat9636 I did do carnivore about 6 months ago and lost to much weight. Went back to eating more carbs and have put about 3 pounds on and need to gain about 5 more. Sadly the IBS issues have returned 🥲
I’ve heard some ppl report gaining weight on carnivore by eating fat in excess. We’re talking way more than 200 g of fat per day. I’m just passing on this anecdotal info in case it might be useful, or in case someone figures out a deliberate weight gaining protocol. You never know. 🤷♀️
@@miklimecat9636 Thanks I appreciate the info 🤗 to be honest I really like carnivore eating and will try to get back to it once I pick up more weight here. I will for sure add much more fat!!! Trying to get my body in balance has not been easy.
@@gayle1548 my sister had the same problem as you. While starting carnivore, she had to occasionally eat unsweetened applesauce and green bananas to stop the diarrhea. Now she's full carnivore and putting on weight again.
I used to have gas and bloating and had to go potty a lot until I went all carnivore and only eat twice or once a day. I always make sure I watch all of your videos that I come across. Thank you, Doc, for all that you do for us!
Thank you for explaining this so well. I knew I was having poor intestinal motility but did not know why. I have been rejecting so much traditional medical advice since I had breast cancer in 2006. It has been a long personal educational journey, but by trial and error and research, IBS seems to be improving with a ketovore diet. Now, if I could just get rid of insulin resistance! At age 68, decades of intestinal damage is taking years and ongoing committment to cure.
I wish this video was out about a year ago. I was diagnosed with SIBO and spent a lot money on a worthless treatment. I felt worse after it was over! Thank you Dr. Cywes....thank you so much!!!
I was diagnosed with SIBO and it turned out it was actually a dairy intolerance 🙄 I cut out dairy for 6 months and had no more issues. After being carnivore for a year I can now eat small amounts of dairy again without problems.
@@lauraa2877 Oh wow, thank you for sharing! So just to confirm, ghee never ever gave you issues that dairy did while on carnivore? How did you make your own ghee (high heat or low heat? Temperature and how long?)? Thank you. I think I have SIBO due to dairy intolerance too.
@@sannamuh985 to be clear, I never actually had SIBO, it was a misdiagnosis. Dairy intolerance was the culprit to my symptoms. I used ghee in place of butter with no problems and it's DELICIOUS. To make your own place your butter in a glass Pyrex dish (I used a glass measuring cup) and put it on a cookie sheet and bake at 200 degrees for about 2 hours, then pour the separated butter fat through a cheese cloth or piece of Tshirt I to a jar.
Thank you for this. I’m on carnivore with SIBO and spent a ton of money on supplements. I have a lot of stress that makes it worse all the time. But I’m working on that and you gave me hope that over time it will heal. Thank you again!!!!😘
Hi Doc. I am a patient of yours. I have an appointment with you in a few months. I'm going on two years of a carnivore diet, with a little veg. I used to be vegan and I am diabetic but my blood glucose is great now. Since I saw you last, my diarrhea has been so horrible, I can't leave the house. You and I have talked about it. About two months ago I saw a functional medicine practitioner. Yes, it cost me $2k and I'm also on a lot of supplements. And yes I had a bacterial overgrowth. After taking all the supplements, my diarrhea has stopped. It was worth $2k. But also I learned, or I was told, that I have low vitamins C,B, and D and that is because my gut was so bad that I couldn't absorb the nutrients in my food. Every day I eat two meals - one beef, and one egg based. I shouldn't have a deficiency in anything. I'm glad you did this video. You're probably right, as always. BUT I want you to know that the $2,000 was well worth it!!
A few months ago I thought you said you were eating some veggies. I may be wrong but I'm quite sure it was you, because I know someone who's e. Minor too.
@@pallascat8542 E.Minor says in the post "I am going on two years of a carnivore diet, with a little veg." In your questioning whether they are eating vegetables, which they admit to, is your point that the veg. could be causing him/her not to heal, to have diarrhea?
So you don't have diarrhea anymore? You mention taking supplements, which usually means herbs or vitamins, not drugs. Did you also take drugs to kill sibo? What supplements did you take? Were they just to correct a body imbalance or also to target the sibo? In university my professor gave his personal story as part of his last lecture. He ate eggs every day and had diarrhea every day. Allergist told him he was not allergic to anything. He went through hell. Finally he figured out it was the eggs, stopped them, was fine.
A sick gut (for eating the SAD for years) would cause you to have food allergies. After you repair you gut eating the proper human diet, then you can add those foods back.
@@libelulal6258 What foods? Those which actually caused the food allergies in the first place? Isn't it like telling a drug addict that after detox treatment he can add drugs back to his "diet"?
"I love my trolls"....thanks for the laugh along with the vital info. Hmmmnn, thinking about the boneless leg of lamb that I will be roasting when I get home.....
True. I just started eating more animal product about 2months already. Tried to eat rice as much anymore, since im asian who always eat rice with everything. About a week after i started eat meat no rice, I started to poop without help. Usually, i can go without it for weeks, till i hv laxative or such. Im still not a regular, but I think i am in the right path. I had that problem eversince i was a child. Rice is my main meal for food. Everyday, n loves it. Now I hv to say goodbye to it
At age 57 on my own i gave up sugar and went low carb. Not good enough, 8 months later, had biopsy and learned i have malabsorption issue called Congenital Isomaltase Sucrose Deficiency. Gave up troughs of salads/vegetables and feel great unless I eat out with something unknown in foods
Yes!!! Absolutely! I totally agree with you. Wasted so much of my life worrying about my gut. A ketovore/carnivore diet cured it all swiftly and painlessly!
I wish I knew all of this info before I spent so much money on SIBO treatments. I have been mostly carnivore for a year now and I am starting to feel so much better. Thank you.
Thank you! I have suffered for years. Chronic diarrhea. Now pre-diabetic, autoimmune disease, joint pain and fatigue. Tons of tests, all negative including breath test. I was devastated to not have SIBO. Now i will try carnivore and hope this heals me..🤞
I love your videos! I wish I could get CEU's watching them. I am a retired RN. The last 10 years I worked it was in the hospice field. I love how you go into the anatomy and physiology when discussing the various conditions. I became a carnivore a couple of years ago. I have lost weight but still have a long way to go. I feel better than I have in years. This way of eating has solved many of my health problems. I wish I could convince people to try the proper human diet. You are the most straight forward physician I know. Some of the others are good but you are hands down the best!
I don’t have a final opinion on your analysis. But I do believe that people who are carnivores are often extraordinarily healthy. When I first came across that phenomena not too long ago, I was astonished. I do believe that not only are you sincere but have really trying to figure out how all this works. I thank. you for the challenge And I will continua to listen to you.
Love this!! ❤️. I’ve been carnivore and now ketovore for two years. My digestion still isn’t where I want it but it’s getting better. My insulin was 26 now it’s 12. Thyroid numbers are slowly trending where they need to be. I’ve been tempted to give up because it’s taking a long time to heal but I love how I eat and I really love how I feel!
I see that your comment was 5 months ago and I surely hope you haven't given up. I understand falling off the wagon, been doing it too often myself, but keep trying. You might be inspiring people and you don't even know it.
This was one of your most powerful talks yet ! I don’t eat “ fiber “ anymore , stay almost all carnivore .. and have zero gut issues , and it just infuriates me to see the propaganda everyone saying we NEED plant fibers ! Even when I was a young Nurse ( and not knowledgeable ) I hated Metamucil and all that junk that sat in my little geriatric patients like sludge 😡 Also , I see constantly people saying we need fermented foods .. and honestly it kinda had me confused ! I don’t like or want sauerkraut or Kefir .. and my way of thinking is if I don’t crave it , or want it .. I don’t need it ! Thank you 😊
I have a Butcherbox subscription , and I try and always buy free range eggs … and it financially works out because I’m not ever going to the center of the grocery , or even the produce department But I still scour my local marker for deals on steaks / meat .. and I find them ❤️
@@kimmcnichols9650 I live in Mexico and grass fed, etc. isn't very common and is crazy expensive when I can find it, so I was wondering if I could do/feel well eating the regular stuff. I started keto a coupleof months ago and am looking at carnivore now. Thanks for your replies.
I´ll comment again… my gut is slowly healing eating hardcore carnivore. Yes I´ve had in total, exactly 4 teaspoons of honney and 250 grams of 86% dark chocolate spread out over 3 months. I will still consider that pretty hardcore carnivore. My transition to carnivore came about via a good periode with eating Keto. Thak you again Rob and a big yhank you to the whole Keto/Carnivore community. It´s actually quite ironic that it´s a «community» and not the whole world that´s eating a proper human diet❤👍🙂
Dr. Cywes, thank you for this information. I’ve been eating a careful ketogenic diet for about a year and a half and recently started eating basically meat, fish and eggs and can’t believe the difference it’s making in my guts already, though I still have quite a journey ahead of me. I’m sick of doctors telling me I have IBS, SIBO or other digestive maladies without one single truly helpful recommendation for anything that works. Yikes, the money I’ve wasted (though I was only doing the best I could based on information I had at the time!) I wish the medical industry would wake up. Grr. Thank you again. God bless you. ❤️
Dr. Cywes, this is very Informative. I have been carnivore for about a year. But I have recently had more of a ketovore diet and my guts are not happy. Most drs have no clue, so I would rather do the gut experiment myself, save the doctor as last resort. You have given me a lot of ideas to work on. Thank you so much.
Love your podcasts. So often, you are talking about something I've never heard discussed-- or discussed in such detail. I'm addicted to your presentations! Thank you!
You are so right ,switched to keto ,but was eating to many veg on it got gas bloating leaned more toward carnivore and all the gut issues went away ,thank you soo much for reinforcing theses points
This was great. Helped me understand my un treated and seemingly undiagnosable gut problem. I’m 100% animal based now… not even pepper or other seasoning. No coffee. Knowledge is power.
I have been keto for 5 or 6 months now….I am not diabetic and don’t ever want to be. I have had rather severe abdominal discomfort coming on the past few years and it has completely ceased…all gone…not one single episode. I came for 10 pound weight loss and am now staying for the calm peaceful side effect of no tummy issues.
Hi, Dr Cywes, I'm very grateful for the information you bring to us. I always start my day with one of your video's and that's what keeps me on track. Could you please share with us your opinion of fermented foods and drinks for the gut? Thank you!
So, now I have watched it all. Insufficient concentration because I've been defrosting my freezer, but I caught enough I hope. Not sold on the harms of fibre and the irrelevance of the gut microbiome. However I found the neuropathy part very convincing - following on from another piece from the Doctor on heart irregularities, his medical practice speciality I think. And a paper to back it up on diabetic neuropathy. The presenter made it make sense to me. A valuable piece imo
Cant agree more with fiber part. Learnt it hard way. My husband and I wanted to carnivore but gave some leeway and ended up doing kinda dirty keto - guess what ? In 2 weeks, both our gut issues were gone. We then ended up cheating with carbs and sugar - back to square 1. Fed the lie to our brain that fiber is important and now we realize it is just doing the damage. Constipation was real on keto but at least we didnt have any gut issues or inflammation. Gonna get back to keto from today.
I've been getting migraines for about the last 15years. What I've come to call "poo headaches". With the migraine I also get very sleepy...to the point where I can't even drive. Intense brain fog as well. Once the poo leaves my body, the headache dissipates almost immediately. I've been keto for the last 5 years...reducing my migraines to about once a month. Sumatriptan has been the only drug to subside the symptoms. I have never been to the doctor for this, but I've been analyzing the symptoms and causes for a long time and I've determined that certain foods, including wheat and peanuts that seem to cause it for sure. I eat mostly beef, pork and eggs now. I would love to know the exact cause of this one day...I'm working on it. :) Thank you for such a detailed video!
@@aliceludwig8234 Thanks for your reply. I was wondering if I could do well on carnivore eating just the regular stuff, since the other is so expensive.
My gut is a wreck, and has been for years. I've been afraid to go carnivore because of what we have been told for years. I'll give it a try, and thank you for this video.
LOVE you Dr. Cywes......I was just loading my Amazon cart with pre and pro biotics to help me with my gut issues. Yet, I've known about KETO/CARNIVORE......and have been working on converting my diet, but somewhere in my mind I got convinced I needed to do more. Seeing you eat that egg just drove the point home for me. Keep it simple, stupid, and stop trying to make things so difficult......resulting in not doing anything at all! If you get the chance, I would love to see you do a video on what you "eat in a day" because when you lay out a visual road map, how can anyone NOT understand what you're saying. It's all there..... THANK YOU so much for all you do!
Sardines are actually more fatty than salmon! At 5% of the price! My favourite mid-day meal (3X a week) is a 110g can of sardines (I drain the oil and rinse the sardines), and a medium sized avocado. That's a 77%, 20%, 3% fat/protein/carb ratio. Good to go until 7pm! My gut still not 100%, but getting there.
I was diagnosed with diverticulitis and other Colon problems. Doc wanted to perform a bowl reconstruction to remove a large portion of my intestines along with advising me to eat more plants and take Metamucil fiber. Did my research and began a meat based diet. No need now for surgery!!

Finally I hear a doctor say that fiber is bad for the gut. ❤
Mine told me that when I first had diverticulitis. He said it scours the gut and to avoid it, especially cruciferous veggies
I am 77 years young, and I have read many articles on the guts and much research on the guts. Never in one of them it says fibers are not good for you. Who do we believe???????
That is why a huge amount of people in vegan and vegetarian diets suffer from bloating.
You will bounce back it takes time
Me too! Hope it goes well for you
Now we see why the creeps want us to eat bugs NOT meat
Great story. I can SO relate!!!!
This Doc is the GOLD STANDARD of information, how to cure yourself.
I had incurable Cancer 7 years ago, some of his information put me on the correct direction. My cancer tumors, were gone in 9 days. (after I was in Ketosis and FASTING for 12-24 Hrs once or twice a week)
I was suffering with the GUT problem and PAIN everyday for the last 15 years.
I also ad my combo spices for 1Lb of Pork (ground) and 2 Lb of beef (ground) the following:
1/4-TSP of: Chili Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper, Cumin, Coriander, Garlic Powder, Hungarian-Paprika,
Cajun, or New Orleans pepper, or Creole Pepper... and 2 TSP of Turmeric powder.
And SALT to taste, lots of it. maybe 1Tsp or 1.5 Tsp
Add 1/2 to 1 cup of Olive Oil and/or Chicken broth. I add both and make sure it covers the meat in the pot.
You need all the fat and oil.
I store in small jars all this while it's little warm.
For a meal reheat a small jar and eat it out of the jar, no need to plate it... we're in the hurry always, right?
Haha
Some time I add 1 tsps of ACV (apple sider vinegar) and mix it with the warm food. On occasion a 1 TB of Sour cream and or both. It has a nice flavor.
How about some home made croutons from a POTATO Bread?
A few pieces would not hurt at all and the texture is something we all miss :)
Experiment,... use spices you want, but never omit the Hot peppers especially the Cayenne and Chili peppers.

It is my mission to continue to seek optimum health & wellness, along with quality of life for this guy. Which is why I will search a matter out, & do whatever it takes to make that a reality. He's now off of all "GERD" meds, & finally ditched the evil statin the doctors put him on a few yrs back.

Finally some one dares to talk about it
Do you eat all grass fed, grass finished, etc. or just whatever meat/bacon you can get at the supermarket? Thanks.

I am delighted to see these videos. Thank you.
Do you eat best quality grass fed, grass finished meat, free-range chicken/eggs, etc. or just the regular stuff you can buy at the supermarket? Thanks.
I used to take Imodium every day. EVERY F#@%ING DAY! Haven't taken in once since going carnivore. Not once.
Wallet biopsy! You are a straight to the point guy. ❤️ your sharing of knowledge!
I’ve been watching a number of UA-cam creators in relation to Keto and Carnivore diets. I like to vary the content so I’m not in an echo chamber, which includes watching some vegan related videos.
I appreciate your approach. Good old telling it how it is.

@@JD-uc1es TY, and yes, if you have an instant pot. I know people who make it just on the kitchen counter, but I have not tried that myself
Try higher fat carnivore/ Ketovore then? That might maybe help maintain the weight.
@@miklimecat9636 I did do carnivore about 6 months ago and lost to much weight. Went back to eating more carbs and have put about 3 pounds on and need to gain about 5 more. Sadly the IBS issues have returned
🥲
Dr Cywes is the real deal thank you so much for these videos😀
A wallet biopsy. Priceless!
Dr. Cywes you are the best! I really appreciate you candidness. You are such a great teacher, thank you.
Your candour is admirable, Dr Cywes. Thanks.🙏
I wish this video was out about a year ago. I was diagnosed with SIBO and spent a lot money on a worthless treatment. I felt worse after it was over! Thank you Dr. Cywes....thank you so much!!!
I absolutely adore you! Thank you for your compassion for helping all of us!!! ☺️
I was diagnosed with SIBO and it turned out it was actually a dairy intolerance 🙄 I cut out dairy for 6 months and had no more issues. After being carnivore for a year I can now eat small amounts of dairy again without problems.
Laura A Thanks for sharing. Does your dairy intolerance require you to also avoid Butter?
Great question and I would also like to know this for myself
@@sannamuh985 yes, it did. I could not even handle a small amount of butter before. I learned to make my own ghee and used that instead.
Love your videos! No bullshit health information.
Fantastic video! I was on medication for acid reflux for over 20 years - and my symptoms disappeared after just a few weeks in a Ketogenic Diet.
9/10 times if the insurance won't cover it... that should tell you something!
Vegetables and fruit gives me severe stomach pain and bloating…. All I can eat with no issues is protein and fat
Do you eat all grass fed, grass finished, etc. or just whatever you can get at the supermarket? Thanks.
You sound like Bart Kay...very straight to the point...
Thanks Sir
Better and nicer than Kay
I wish I knew all of this info before I spent so much money on SIBO treatments. I have been mostly carnivore for a year now and I am starting to feel so much better. Thank you.
👍🏼. Had SIBO symptoms for decades. Fixed it with carnivore diet.
Thank-you you have saved my life I'm from England and our doctors here need to watch you thank-you again
Thank you! I have suffered for years. Chronic diarrhea. Now pre-diabetic, autoimmune disease, joint pain and fatigue. Tons of tests, all negative including breath test. I was devastated to not have SIBO. Now i will try carnivore and hope this heals me..🤞
How did get rid of all of that before going on a carnivore diet?
you are a brilliant man! every day I listen to your videos and learn, thank you for being honest and not throw BS out there like others
This was amazing. Thank you! Now...are oxalates and oxalate dumping BS, too?
Even when I was a young Nurse ( and not knowledgeable ) I hated Metamucil and all that junk that sat in my little geriatric patients like sludge 😡
Also , I see constantly people saying we need fermented foods .. and honestly it kinda had me confused ! I don’t like or want sauerkraut or Kefir .. and my way of thinking is if I don’t crave it , or want it .. I don’t need it !
Thank you 😊
Do you eat best quality grass fed, grass finished meat, free-range chicken/eggs, etc. or just the regular stuff you can buy at the supermarket? Thanks
@@elainem7722 you eat what you can afford ! The cheapest cuts of meat are infinitely more nutritious then any of the stuff on the shelves ❤️❤️

But I still scour my local marker for deals on steaks / meat .. and I find them ❤️
@@kimmcnichols9650 I live in Mexico and grass fed, etc. isn't very common and is crazy expensive when I can find it, so I was wondering if I could do/feel well eating the regular stuff.

Thank you!
Thank you Doc. Admirable work. Great content. May you keep blessed
Have you checked other medical sources?
WE LOVE YOU DOCTOR, "a real honest-to-goodness doctor" xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks so much!! I'm on the right track....You helped put me there!! Love the egg display!😊❤
SIBO! FINALLY A DOCTOR THAT KNOWS!
Thank you for such a detailed video!
