Thank you for making this video it calmed me down A LOT I have my first ever bridal client coming up (my first client in general can you believe) so I’m naturally freaking out! I’ve been binging every single one of your videos and I’m so grateful for you, also so nervous and excited and scared lol
I’ve been binge watching you and taking my notes! Soo glad I found you in the UA-cam world haha I’m building my kit and I’m super excited with all my knowledge..I feel like I’ve got a good coach 😉
I want to become a freelance makeup artist but it’s just soooo expensive to start your makeup kit and other stuff you need, once I practice more and save up some more money then I’m finally going to start! Thanks for the video, it really really helped!❤️😁
Hi Lily! Yes, it is definitely not cheap to start freelancing, but that's with any business! However, the biggest mistake I made was not starting sooner! I was in the same headspace that it was too expensive and I always freaked myself out saying that I wasn't prepared. It's kind of like having a child, you're never quite prepared lol So my biggest advice would be just get the basics (remember you don't need every product and every shade when beginning). You can also do what I did and work for a company that gives you freebies which in turn helps you build your kit for less :)
@@julieruby thank you so much for the advice! I’ll definitely start as soon as I can, I’m selling a few of my stuff to get extra money so hopefully that will help me start sooner!❤️😁
Hey girl! Love this video as always. Just wondering if you could do an affordable brush guide. I’m looking to repurchase new brushes and I’m all over the place on what to buy and to keep in budget.
Hello thanks for these videos! Question, what lightning do you use when you travel to locations? I have a hard time getting great quality pictures of my clients. Any tips or tricks of how you take pictures of your clients? Thanks!!! ❤❤
Hi Monica! So glad these videos have helped you :) I have a pretty expensive light that I carry right now which is the Glamcor light. Although I only carry it around with me for about 25% of my jobs. However, you DO NOT need that to start off. I just bought an inexpensive ring light from Amazon to start that color temp. could be adjusted. My best advice would be just using natural light! I always get the best photos when I'm still indoors, but the client is relatively close to a window sitting down. Hopefully this helps!
I would love to see a video on how to use those spray bottles for loose powder. I only use pressed powders in my kit because I can keep them in a palette.
Hi Karen! I made a depotting video a while back that shows how the bottles are used :) Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/-tCQE1S6md4/v-deo.html It starts at 8:40
Hi Charlotte! This completely depends on which foundation and concealer you choose for your kit as the shade names will vary. I do recommend you get the lightest and darkest shade in the range and then a few in between. I only carry about 4-6 shades from each range and mix :)
Can't wait! I love seeing all the ways to downsize my products and fit them in my kit. Currently my favorite channel on the Tube 😍
Aww thanks so much Jessica! Definitely will be doing an updated downsizing video in the near future :) Thank you for all of your amazing comments!

@@julieruby do you apply the powder with a sponge? I’m just thinking to add loose powder to my kit
@@KVG822 I use a sponge, but sometime depending on the skin I'll use a brush :) I just spray mine on a palette and work from there.
I am so glad I found your PAGE 😁
Aww I’m so glad you’ve found it helpful!
Julie o love your work. Kiss from Portugal
Aww thanks so much Soraia! I really appreciate it :)
Hi Julie which shades of foundation/ concealers would you recommend to start with?

Hi have you ever tried Kryolan eyeshadows or their makeup in general? Do you suggest it? Thanks! It’s quite inexpensive here in my country that’s why.
Hi kryolan supra & dermacolor palette, tv painstick foundation , Setting powders are really good & reasonable . Never tried their eyeshadows though
their eyeshadows are good but I think depends your country maybe are better options and little more afforable
No I have personally not tried the Kryolan brand, but I've heard great things about it! Thank you everyone for commenting on this :)
@@julieruby Thanks for replying! Hope you can give an updated drugstores/high-end recommendations! ♥️
@@acedelacruz2356 I do have a video on my channel for products that are more inexpensive/beginner friendly :)
Amazing
Thank you so much! :)
What lighting do you carry for onsite makeup?
Hi Karen! I carry the Glamcor light, but I started out using a ring light from Amazon :)
I'm guilty with the eyeshadows and brushes lol, i always said this is the last one i buy
Yes!! Eyeshadow palettes get me as well! It's super hard to overbuy, but keep in mind the things that you actually need :)
congrats on 4 k subs !!!
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it :)
Thanks
You’re welcome! I’m glad you liked the video :)
My kit is where I want it to be but its not condensed… IT NEEDS TO BE THOUGH 😵💫
