Kaufman giving people the reaction they ultimately hope for by heckling, to ruin a comedian's life. Letting them feel like a POS for wanting to ruin someone's night, career, or life just so they can feel like a big shot in front of a group of strangers. Savage!

I was at a food truck in New York and as I walked away he and what looked to be a body guard were walking toward me. It was not crowded or busy and he did not have fans swarming around. I didn't act like a crazed person and run up to him. As I passed by I calmly said Mr. Martin nice to meet you, I think you do great work. His response: The pleasure's all yours, now leave me the (expletive) alone. At that point I realized his true personality was the name of one of my favorite Martin movies, THE JERK!
Kaufman giving people the reaction they ultimately hope for by heckling, to ruin a comedian's life. Letting them feel like a POS for wanting to ruin someone's night, career, or life just so they can feel like a big shot in front of a group of strangers. Savage!
Everything Andy Kaufman did was for him to see the audiences reaction.
The one with the blowgun 🤣
Andy Kaufman pushed the limits of what comedy meant. He made the crowd wonder whether his emotions were real or staged and put them in a position of awkward laughter. He constantly pulled the rug out from under them. Pure anti comedy. I think the man was a genius in the same league as Stewart Lee, subverting the idea of comedy. Genius.
That last guy went from fake crying to inventing an entire new genre of music
Kaufman with the sobbing conga drum beat come back. Classic.
I dead ass thought that guy was having a breakdown at the end
🤣Andy was fkn around dude🤣✌
I thought it said Hecklers vs Canadians...
Only monsters heckle Canadians
No, Canadians would body Check me.
You can just frig right off there buddy!
Hey take it easy, guy. No sense in crying over spilt bong water.
That first reply I see Jamie hydiman off of tube Mythbusters saying that.
Watched this high last night then again this morning with a sober mind...Andy Kaufman had the same effect and it was hilarious 🤣
The Kaufman bit is priceless. He does another one where he actually runs off the stage crying and returns as 'Tony Clifton' and then just does what Tony does.
