Hi Everyone. I hope everyone's well and looking forward to the weekend. This is a 'sort of' new swirl, well more like some existing things done a little differently. I hope you enjoy it.
This is lovely! I love your test for if the material is suitable as a soaping tool, I think I’ll try that in the future! Thank you for always making beautiful soaps, and for sharing your process! 🥰
The swirl design reminds me of the ultra-thin line swirl soap challenge back in September, 2020. This method allows the colored lines/stripes to go all the way through every single bar, which is brilliant! I love that you're always trying new ways of creating, which is very inspiring!
What a cool design! I love that you are always trying new things and that you don’t stick to one style of soaping! Keep sharing your beautiful artwork Lisa!
Wow just wow, how you can see what you want and do it is beyond me. This reminds me of driving home from a trip to Florida and it was as the sun was setting there were 3 pink tornadoes in the sky. They were so beautiful that I pulled over to take a picture and couldn't find my camera for the life of me. It was before cell phones that took pictures.
Thank you soo much for sucha detailed tutorial Lisa! I'm going to surely try it out!! I don't have a tall and skinny mold but I'll work with what I have!! ♥️
I'm sure it will work just fine, if you have a wider mould you can always do it and cut to get 2 bars out of the thickness (not sure how wide your mould is)
@@IDreamInSoap It's 6cms wide, a 3cms thick bar will do just fine! I was concerned about the height a lil but it's over 7cms and I'm happy with that! Also I made the Landscape soap after watching your tutorial! I'm happy how it turned out. It's not perfect but as a beginner I pulled it off pretty good haha! I'll tag you on IG when I post it! Thank you again!!
This soap is fabulous!! Thanks for sharing. I'm also very happy to hear that meat soap is a real thing, as my very first batch of CP looked like bologna.
Hey Lisa … I am loving where your creativity is taking you with your new found freedom… you must be so excited with your make first then assess plan … … congratulations.. great video … i am super excited about the august soap challenge 🐝🐝🐝🧼🧼🧼
It is nice I must admit, mind you it's mucking up my nice scheduled shop updates as assessments are not coming through in time, so having to alter / postpone etc, but overall I prefer that than making soap that isn't exactly how I want.
I recently found your channel and have spent my weekend binge watching your videos. You are amazingly talented! This is a really cool design. Subscribed! 😃
Terrific sort of new design Lisa !! I like it a lot ! I see you have the same issue as I do with the Cheshire Cat tool. I’m thinking to make an adjustment wheel to allow me to adjust the angle of the mold as I need. I’m not keen to hold the mold in my wobbly old hands, or rely or the little pins on the tool. It’s a thought at this point. Anyway great job again! Love your work ! Cheers Mike
Thanks so much Mike. I do like the Cheshire Cat, I only put one of the pins in so I can adjust it easily if I need too, but it can still be a bit tricky at the point when you have a mould full of soap and you're trying to alter it just a little bit
Ooo! It really does look like a tornado funnel cloud! I grew up in tornado country, and I remember seeing them pull down from the sky. If you'd done green instead of pink, this soap would have looked exactly like it!
@@IDreamInSoap Oh, yes! The clouds were still gray, but the sky would turn this eerie shade of green right before. That's when we all knew to start looking for funnel clouds. And when you saw the funnels start to pull down, that's when you moved to shelter.
Thank you Lisa for sharing this new technique 🤗!! You are always so professional.. I am experimenting a Swirling technique but I don't know if it is new. I didn't find it on the web but I am not sure that it has been used before. Could you help me?
Hi mam, I m from india and I like ur all soaps. I want to know which is the best tempreture to mix lye and oils for light trace. Pls. Guide me. Thank you
Lovely looking bar! I’ll be honest… not sure if it’s the colours or the swirl I like best. It still seems crazy we had our own tornado in the borough just two weeks ago! Really don’t expect that kind of thing here in the U.K.!
Lisa, I have been wondering for some time now, what do you do with all of the fragrance oil cans you use. Do they recycle them or are you suppose to? I am from America where everything is self recycling. Beautiful soaps, I have been your biggest fan in the states I'm sure!
I clean and reuse my metal bottles. Our fragrance oils tend to come in recyclable plastic bottles, so I transfer into the metal ones and recycle the plastic ones
An excellent video not rushed so easier to grasp what you were doing. I was most interested in making the log roll narrower, because they mainly seem to produce wider bars. Using core flute what a great idea it’s very affordable, but not seeing the soap come out of the mould would have been helpful, did it cause any problem? Would love to know thank you
Hi Tassie Girl, no problem at all, in fact the side with the core flute actually comes out easier as you take it out with that still on the soap, then lift it of afterwards, it comes off with no problem
Thanks Nancy, I've done lots of thin lines pours and this sort of look a bit like a tall and skinny shimmy, so I can see why you may have thought that. It is just things that already exist but just done slightly differently
Hi Nancy. I'm not 100% sure as I don't take their temperature, they would just get as hot as a soap gets when it goes through gel phase, the oven won't add any heat to the soap, just force it to gel. Any soap with more water will get hotter, as I do quite a big water discount there is more chance my soap won't gel, or may partial gel, so I CPOP it to make sure it does. If you cover your soap, so the top doesn't dry out that helps minimise cracks, also if you are uing a lot of high sugar ingredients, milk, honey beer etc those can all cause extra heat and possible cracks
When I CPOP (oven 170 and covered) I get soda ash or it looks like it’s bubbly on top? Do you know why? Is it getting too hot? Your soap is gorgeous I love ❤️ it! Thank you for your videos 🥰
Which nitrile gloves do you wear and what material is on your sleeves and wrist? There are so many nitrile gloves medical grade, food grade and industrial grade.
This technique made a beautiful swirl! I can remember you making a funny tornado-themed wheathersoap some Time ago, so maybe you have a favour for the bad wheather? Why not doing Hail-soap for the future? 😁
Love the design. I have never CPOP my soap, would like to maybe try, so I don’t know if this has ever been addressed, but you say to turn and warm oven to 170* F, what if your oven doesn’t go that low? My lowest temp is 200*
Hello Lisa, I have tried to buy your soaps from your website but a message says it is not possible because I'm in Europe. Is there any other way I can get your lovely creations? Do you sell to shops maybe, franchises, supermarkets... Anywhere else rather than your website? Thank you.
Hi, I'm afraid not and it's such a shame, the EU regulation make it illegal for anyone who does not have a responsible person who actually lives in the EU (someone responsible for their recipe, writing their labels and registering everything on the EU cosmetic portal) to sell soap to the EU. At them moment it's just me, so I can realistically only make enough soap for my website I'm afraid.

Clever! Like the Tornado swirl affect! The look very good 👍

It's so pretty and inventive. Lisa, you're so funny. 'A classic combination for a meat soap'😂😂😂
He, he, yes as I was pouring the pink and white, then I thought about the stripes, luckily it was ok
I really like this design. Thank you for explaining every step of the process.💙❤️💙

I love your description of emulsion! 😂 another beautiful soap and that’s one of my favourite scents!
Thanks Michael, it's such a beautiful scent isn't it.
Came here to say the same thing, that description of emulsion was both accurate and hilarious 😂

Thanks Sandra, the too is the 'Cheshire Cat' from Custom Craft tools

Hi Michael thank you so much for your very kind comment 😊
Lisa, did you plane the sides of the soap bars that were next to the walls of the mold? Or is it unnecessary?
No, I left them as they were, you could plane them, but I always feel that's wasting soap
