    I love your ITP swirl! Your blue shade range was perfectly oceanic. What did your friend think of the soaps? Can I ask how you coloured the pretty salt, please? Or do you buy it pre coloured?

    • @SoyandShea
      @SoyandShea  6 років тому +3

      Thank you for your lovely comments. My friend loved the soaps as did her guests 😊 To colour the salts I put some mica in a bowl and a little rubbing alcohol. I have 100% but I would say anything 91% and up will do the trick. I then mix in my salt. Once its coated I leave the salt to dry. The higher the % the quicker it will dry.

    I saw someone do melt and pour over the top of soap and the shapes all melted overnight during the saponification process. How did you avoid this from happening? Did you just let it sit on the counter or refrigerate it, or did you cover it? Would really love to know. It sure turned out beautifully perfect. I loved the colors you used. You always have such wonderful ideas.

    • @SoyandShea
      @SoyandShea  Рік тому +1

      The embeds on these are cold process soap. I haven't used Melt and Pour for embeds for a long time but when you do you have to make sure your soap doesn't gel or overheat

    Hello! I just love how this soap turned out and am going to try to re-create it. Would you be willing to share the percentages you used for the different color portions, like what % of the batter the sand, uncolored, and 3 ocean colors were of the whole batter? Thank you!

    • @SoyandShea

    Beautiful bars! I was a bit confused when you were making the base cuz what I heard was that you were adding 'just a little bit of hummous' and I went "What?", so I waited. 'Pumice' makes much more sense in context. Gotta get those hearing aids soon. Hahaha
