Shannon Sharpe: "Money doesn't change you, it makes you more of what you really are" AB got guaranteed dollars in Pittsburgh and revealed his true colours.
As a physician myself, I agree with you but I think there is an important additional point to make. I have seen some of the videos by physicians that you are referring to where they say that you cannot necessarily call this CTE. I do understand their point, and while I personally suspect that AB has some degree of CTE, that really doesn't even matter. In an interview with AB sometime after the hit, he states that he did in fact lose consciousness for a period of time immediately following the hit. In the medical field, a traumatic blow to the head resulting in loss of consciousness is by definition considered to be at least a Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). It is very well known that TBI's can very well result in a variety of symptoms such as impulsivity, personality changes, mood disorders, etc. To address the point that some people bring up that he was like this in the past, it is also important to point out that people with premorbid behavioral problems who sustain a TBI can very much have these issues amplified as a result.
Wouldnt surprise me if he if he had borderline or bi polar tendencies/ traits before that were amplified after brain trauma. He obviously has gone through many stages of mania type behaviour with suttle crashes here or there. Wish the guy the best in his career and moreso his mental health and relationships going forward.

I’ve seen a guy who was riding his motorcycle at 120mph, and came up behind a truck going 50mph. He put his helmeted head through the back gate of the truck bed at a speed of 70mph, sustaining an open skull fracture. I don’t know what came of him, but he survived his surgery.

I am 70 years old, and have damaged in my front part of the brain. for the last ten years I have slowly decline in my short term memory and motor skills . My mood will change and I have now accepted my limitations. But I also hav e a great support system . My wife and family keep me centered but in browns case it can manifest in many forms. It could very well be from the hit but generally it takes many hits over time to start to show. He needs someone he can trust that will set him down and give him strait talk. But the bottom line it get worse over time and there is no cure. Funny thing is if I could do it all over, I would still play, I just love the game. Ps your MRI will show damage in the front part of the brain which you can do things to help
I watched the original documentary about the cte issues, and it effects the frontal lobe aka decision making. It’s like a super duper coke head who been daily using for 20years.. not even 20yr coke problem can fuck with CTE.
No team, Pittsburgh or otherwise, could hide well the behavior that happened at the end of 2018, if ir preceeded that time. That's where Flemlo and I agree as to when the behavior manifested. He was a flamboyant well liked guy. He didn't become a bad dude till after 2018.
i said the same thing about taken that hit from the bengals game I think he has CTE we dont know how many hits he took when he was younger but i feel that may have been the deciding blow

As a Steeler fan this is a great summation. I mean AB was one of the great Steelers receivers ever and possibly one of the best of all time in the NFL. He was always definitely a primadonna of sorts but after the Burfict hit he went totally off the rails. Yeah correlation doesn't always equal causation but you gotta wonder in this case. For real great analysis my man and your videos are on totally lit for me.

Because idk if you noticed it but i think his balls where some how misplaced and now are missing & he has been atrocious at Michigan thanks flem! Big fan
regardless of the situation, if it's not a brain injury I pray that he gets his act together, and if it is a brain injury I pray that science catches up and can repair the damage so he can get back to a successful life.
I'm from Pittsburgh. Watched that game live. I remember the hit well. Reminded me of another cheap shot on a Pittsburgh star. Sidney Crosby. Luckily Sid came back. Another person who I believe took head shots and changed. Chris Benoit. Aaron Hernandez.
I like your style. Keeping it real, no click bait BS, not trying to make everything funny and failing badly like a lot of other popular youtube sports guys.

I think it’s partying and blow. Literally same thing happened to me- at the same age. I partied down- still was productive as hell at work...and then I hit 30- didn’t think I had a blow problem. Started doing it more- weeknights...going to work after an hour of sleep...stopped doing everything I needed to at work...etc. I think he was up through the night- slept thru practice a couple of times until he knew there were no excuses. Started blaming problems on other things- got a fresh start...kept doing blow- one thing led to another.... I dunno... I’m convinced tho

Reading it hopefully (actually he mentioned it in the video). That movie adaptation was terrible.
There are no movie adaptation of The Killing Joke.
JAKE GUS rude
@JAKE GUS
Go back to hell, Jake Gus the troll.
I'm sorry to hear that. I hope things work out for you
Almost time for another AB update. Dude lands on his feet again
And he got a ring
@@spencerroberson4780 aaaand now he got in a fight at training camp and Brady of all people had to talk to him about it. The AB cycle continues...
Im glad you cleared up that AB is nothing like everyones favorite joker!
1:23 THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT IM SAYING! THAT HIT FROM BURFICT TOTALLY SCREWED UO HIS PERSONALITY
I watched the original documentary about the cte issues, and it effects the frontal lobe aka decision making. It’s like a super duper coke head who been daily using for 20years.. not even 20yr coke problem can fuck with CTE.
Wow. This was a really well thought out video. Good job, bro.
Antonio Brown has always been a knucklehead.. its just that it's out now. Pittsburgh hid it well. He is not a good dude.
@Omor Igiehon totally agree 💚
This man is a victim of an intentional brain injury. Burfict should be held accountable. And I don’t mean being suspended without pay.
No team, Pittsburgh or otherwise, could hide well the behavior that happened at the end of 2018, if ir preceeded that time. That's where Flemlo and I agree as to when the behavior manifested. He was a flamboyant well liked guy. He didn't become a bad dude till after 2018.
Bruh you are so right!!! Hell of a video!!! One of the best videos ever put out on youtube! This is the definition of quality content
You do put a lot of research into your Video's & you make more sense then the ones on tv! I enjoy all of your pieces. I thank you!
Sounds like he was out of control even in high school of his parents kicked him out b4 he was even 18.
I just lost 50 brain cells
TooMuchLean that was tough to read lol
The words "because" and "kicking" woulda helped.
@Tyler Bolen sadly I think its the latter.
Pretty sure it was cause his mom was insane
i said the same thing about taken that hit from the bengals game I think he has CTE we dont know how many hits he took when he was younger but i feel that may have been the deciding blow
I, too, believe the Burfict hit is the turning point in AB's life. All we can do is pray for him.
He either got CTE Or Schizophrenia because dude is tripping 🤦🏾♂️
LavishShawn you cant tell if someone has CTE till after theyre dead
Matt Cary but you can tell by the symptoms butt nugget
M B you still cant say for certain someone has it until they pass ab might just be mad because juju was better than him. lmao i. dont think thats the actual reason and im not saying he doesnt have cte im just sayin you cant diagnose it till after death
after life*
@Olly Tropics I wouldn't say he has ZERO symptoms but he does have very few. If you wanna look at a former NFL player that has the signs of schizophrenia then check out Tre Mason.
I got an ad for the Joker movie while watching this. 100% accurate
Aye FlemLo this needs a pt.2 just like Superbowl Lenny. Plz man that would be wildd
I completely agree with Flemlo Raps about that hit that Antonio Brown suffered. His entire personality changed afterwards. I'm not a neurologist, but with all the news about CTE, it makes you wonder.
“Around this point AD even begins to look like the joker..” 😂😂😂 im soooo dead bro
Me: knock knock
Flemlo: who’s there
Me: Owen
Flemlo: Owen who?
Me: 0-3 bengals
He predicted a 8-8 season too lol
Nice
0-4 now :(
Lol
O-6 NOW
Its crazy flemlo is a legend he makes the best football stories and says it in a way that touches my heart and it’s really enjoyable to watch and good luck a the channal
Who’s here after he walked out on TB12 and the Bucs while bare chested dancing across the field WITH THE GAME GOING ON?
Did AB run around screaming "I'm free" after the Pats released him
He did that after the Raiders released him
He did that after the Raiders released him.
Ex Patriots seem like cult survivors with stockholm syndrome.
People laugh at him. I’m praying for him
Nick Ortega Amen !!
Nick Ortega
I'm completely apathetic. Much similar to how you don't give Aaron Hernandez a pass for murder because he had severe CTE, you don't give AB a pass for being, well, AB, even if it's discovered he has CTE.
Rob Gonz all the more reason to pray for him. Seems to have led himself astray and needs some guidance.
@@puck4787 I agree. Pray for him. But don't make excuses for him either. When ppl make excuses for others they tend to use those excuses as their reason for not changing.
Ya that SI artical was unnecessary and the cruelest thing I've seen in sports. They new it would bury him.
Flem. You just made my informative speech for class a whole lot easier
You have a good point about that hit. I have been following you for 5 months and you are doing a good job
You are GREAT at this! And I'm not just saying that because I am a Bengals fan lol.
Love your videos!
SUPER smart! Well thought out. Great Video man💯 I’m not gonna lie, I was one of those people who use to call AB a clown but after watching your video I feel like I understand him a little bit better. (Not completely, but a little bit better)
God please help this man as soon as possible. Not so we can see him play again, but so he can be at peace. He is obviously dealing with something, and it needs resolution.
AB: we live in a society
Doodoopancakes w
Vontae Burfict knocked his brain out of reality
Really been enjoying your videos. God bless. And sorry about the Bengals this year.
Another one! Great commentary
Old folks would describe him in three ways:
He started smellin himself.
He got to big for his britches
He got beside himself
That moment when you realized that Antonio Brown and JJ Watt (Transfer to Wisconsin) were once teammates at Central Michigan 😲😲😲
I think that hit messed him up big time tbh
Being a Bengal fan aside, there is no one out there, doing what you do as well as you do it. I’m more interested in hearing you talk about players than actually watching the NFL.
AB is suffering from CTE. The NFL need to put a program in place to help players like him.
Next video should be Peter Warrick, it should fit since you’re a bengals fan👍
judge: anything else?
69: have you heard of antonio brown?
People on 69 because he is telling on dudes that one blacked mailed him tha. Try to kill him. I don’t like anything about 69. But the hell if I’m going down for people who did that to me
We need a Part 2 of this.
Flemlo Raps should tell the story of life 👍
He did not go Joker and he does have CTE. He is just dim and self-centered lol
Say it to my face.
Wild Willni would break your nose
VenomousStare you wanna know how I got these scars
As a Steeler fan this is a great summation. I mean AB was one of the great Steelers receivers ever and possibly one of the best of all time in the NFL. He was always definitely a primadonna of sorts but after the Burfict hit he went totally off the rails. Yeah correlation doesn't always equal causation but you gotta wonder in this case. For real great analysis my man and your videos are on totally lit for me.
Dudes work ethic was on a whole other level. Just thought I’d point that out lol
I always enjoy your commentaries, insightful, logical and respectful. Thanks for doing what you do.
Great video man!
my boy playing for the bucs now
Hey Flem love your content i just have a small request for one of these videos for the future could you possibly do what happened to Jim Harbaugh?
Very nicely put my friend you could be right but like you said we'll never really know
Bruh the OBVIOUS ANSWER is....
-the madden curse-
Personally, i think he is a clone, malfunctioning.
Carrie Haley facts
@Sam Washam yes
“Some men just want to watch the world burn” my favorite quote ever
I like your style. Keeping it real, no click bait BS, not trying to make everything funny and failing badly like a lot of other popular youtube sports guys.
Time for an updated video my guy
Update Rodger Goodell is trash
He's a narcissist in my opinion. He feels he can do and get away with anything and everything.
And he’s still a millionaire because of it, so, hell maybe we should all be narcissistic
Leaning toward Borderline Personality Disorder.
A narcissist isn't psycho which is what he is now. I agree he was a narcissist before the last game of 2018. But what he is now is pretty far from being a narcissist. And into psychosis.
I absolutely love the analogies you use when you are trying to make people understand!
Thank you so much for bringing this up, Flem! The Aaron Hernandez findings were pretty damning.
a man with an absent father has issues being mature. shocking
The Coffee Nut Lebron never had a problem
@@gbcolby Cause LeBron has a loving mother... AB didn't have stable parents, hence the way he acts...
Steve J okay so the problem is both parents weren’t good. Cause lots of people have absent fathers and turn out great.
@@gbcolby I just said that will the LeBron part... I was talking about how both AB's parents were not stable... His mother kick him outta the house (Mother of the Year material 🙄) when he was a teen... And his dad is probably like a typically athlete dad (probably where he gets his parenting skills from)... He also grew up in a bad environment, so that might effect how the way he acts...
@@gbcolby I agree, my father was absent and I have become one the greatest that never lived
Can you please recap College Football!!! Seriously, please.
Yes!
All for this
I'm here for it
